Allies!

— And how to fuck them. Obama: “the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines.” You know, back before the last time the Arab world attacked Israel unprovoked.

I hope this finally awakens American Jews, whose unwavering commitment to voting Democrat is based on the same need to feel accepted by intellectuals as is Obama’s desire to appease Arabs and legitimize their anti-semitism as a rational reaction to Israeli oppression.

  1. Pablo says:

Jerusalem shmarusalem. Tel Aviv is nice, right?

What a piece of shit. I hope Bibi punches him right in the fucking mouth this evening.

  2. Hrothgar says:

Is that the line BEFORE June 4 1967 or the line AFTER June 11 1967?

    Let me be perfectly clear!

  3. Jeff G. says:

    Give up the buffer areas.

Fuck it. Why not just cut out the middle man and nuke Israel ourselves?

Next up: Obama tells California, Texas, New Mexico that they must hand themselves over to Mexico.

  4. Pablo says:

Look, all people really want is jobs. And to kill Jews.

  5. Jeff G. says:

I remember when Rosa Parks strapped on that C4 vest filled with nails and bolts and took out a pizzeria filled with white southern teens. It was the first time I was ever proud of my country.

  6. Hrothgar says:

If all the Jews would just march east into the sea, the ME would return to the Garden of Eden like condition that exists everywhere else in the islamic ME except along the Israeli border. That way we could save our nukes,

  7. BuddyPC says:

“the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines.”

    How reactionary.
Fair enough. The tax code should be based on the 1910 brackets.

Obama’s like that asshole in sixth grade who always called “do-over” every time whichever board game you were playing wasn’t going his way.

  8. DarthLevin says:

My opinion, flawed as it may be:

If the United States had not kept a leash on Israel all this time, by now the Eastern Med from Egypt to the southern Turkish border and to Iraq (probably Iran) would all be one big Mega-Israel. And I would have no problem with that.

  9. motionview says:

with permanent Palestinian borders with Israel, Jordan, and Egypt, and permanent Israeli borders with Palestine. The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states. The Palestinian people must have the right to govern themselves, and reach their potential, in a sovereign and contiguous state.

How do the Palestinians get a contiguous state and have borders with Egypt and Jordan?

  10. DarthLevin says:

motionview, you make the new “israel” an island state inside a “palestine” that encompasses it.

  11. Mueller says:

When you’re surrounded by enemies you never willingly give up the high ground.
    BHO = Putz

  12. Blake says:

    You and me both, Darth.

You know, Jimmy Carter only managed to lose Iran.

    What a piker.

Obama is going to show Carter how it’s done by losing Egypt, Libya and, hopefully, Syria.

I find it interesting that leftists will take personal threats seriously, but discount threats against the entire nation of Israel.

I guess that whole holocaust thing doesn’t matter because “Things are different now.”

  13. Blake says:

    Warsaw Ghetto writ large.

  14. Bob Reed says:

The real theme of Obama’s speech? “The tamning of the Jew

Where Oblah-blah fancies himself Petruchio, and the other Arabs to all collectively represent Bianca…

  15. Matt says:

Holy crap, every time I think he can’t turn into a bigger asshole, he makes a speech and exceeds all of my expectations. Hey Barrak, why not just give the muslims a stimulus package to start rebuilding the concentration camps?

  16. Matt says:

*I guess that whole holocaust thing doesn’t matter because “Things are different now.”*

It could never happen today. Obama would lead Seal Team 6 into the heart of Germany and take out all those Nazi’s single handedly, while healing any sick who touched the hem of his camo.

  17. Darleen says:

shouts of human dignity are being heard across the region

Anyone care to get Lara Logan’s comment?

  18. Darleen says:

I’ll believe this when I see it

Jewish donors and fund-raisers are warning the Obama re-election campaign that the president is at risk of losing financial support because of concerns about his handling of Israel.

  19. Blake says:

Matt, speaking of Obama leading Seal Team 6, did you catch Iowahawk on the bin Laden raid?

    http://iowahawk.typepad.com/iowahawk/2011/05/one-day-in-the-war-room.html

  20. Carin says:

Only you guys can take such horrible stuff and make me laugh.

  21. Spiny Norman says:

How do the Palestinians get a contiguous state and have borders with Egypt and Jordan?

    No Israel.

Next up: Obama tells California, Texas, New Mexico that they must hand themselves over to Mexico.

That may be sarcasm, but don’t think that hasn’t crossed his mind.

“the borders of the United States and Mexico should be based on the 1846 lines.”

    Or, how about this:

“the borders of Germany, Poland and Russia should be based on the 1914 lines.”

    Makes as much sense, Barry.

  22. DarthLevin says:

As the saying goes, Carin, we laugh about it to keep from crying. Or contemplating acts that would land the Secret Service on our doorsteps escorted by large heavily-armed men wearing black outfits.

  23. DarthLevin says:

    I like where you’re going, Spiny…

Nikolas Sarcozy informed the United States that Franco-American borders should be based on the 1801 lines

    Laissez les bon temps rouler!!

  24. Spiny Norman says:

What a piece of shit. I hope Bibi punches him right in the fucking mouth this evening.

He’s is meeting with the Pres this evening? Don’t tell me, let me guess: Netanyahu was in the gallery today, and was forced to listen to this crap. That would certainly be the Obama Method.

  25. Joe says:

Many secular Jews (not all but many of them) are far more hostile to Israel and observant Jews than any so call white Christian bigots they love to rail about. And many secular American Jews continue to give a complete pass to Muslims (funny how facing the threat in Israel tends to wake people up).

So while I hope some American Jews wake up, I do not see many of them turning their back on the Democratic party. It is like they are color blind to anti-Semitism from the Democrats. They just can’t see it.

  26. eleven says:

“It is like they are color blind to anti-Semitism from the Democrats. They just can’t see it.”

Not only that but they are the Shiite liberals. They are the snarlingest snappingest of the lot.

  27. cranky-d says:

I think Israel should have never given up any of the territory they took in 1967. They should have kept it all as a warning to their offensive neighbors, “Do that again and we’ll take all of it.”

If the United States had not kept a leash on Israel all this time, by now the Eastern Med from Egypt to the southern Turkish border and to Iraq (probably Iran) would all be one big Mega-Israel. And I would have no problem with that.

That would have been awesome. Not only that, almost everyone would have been much wealthier and happier, except of course for the fringe extremists who will never be happy.

  28. Spiny Norman says:

Unsurprisingly, Bibi has already told Barry to piss off.

It should be a productive meeting this evening. I wonder if the Israeli Prime Minister will be asked to leave the White House by the “servants’ entrance” again…

  29. motionview says:

I’m really curious how much of this initiative came from Clinton & the State Department and how much from The One himself.

  30. steph says:

I think Barry will ask Bibi to realign the borders based on 6/3/67 lines as a mitvah to him, the One. How can Bibi refuse?

  31. Joe says:

I regret we did not take more of Mexico. Like all of Baja. And moved the borders south of Copper Canyon.

We should have bought Greenland too.

  32. DarthLevin says:

    ??? ?????? ?? ????, ??????? ??????

  33. newrouter says:

i see we have winner in the “putzy call” of the day – congrats baracky

  34. Roddy Boyd says:

I’m not terribly sure why Israel’s PM doesn’t tell the POTUS, in diplomatese, that “We respect your considered opinion, but we think we’ll handle this in a fashion of our choosing. Similarly, we can’t thank you enough for the annual $3 billion check, but we’re grown up now and will do for ourselves.”

Because that’s what much of this boils down to: that $3 billion check. It’s either everything to the Israeli’s, or its symbolic to them, a way of generating a bond not between them and the USG, but them and American Jewry. For the US executive branch, the $3 billion check is tantamount ot giving the kid your car keys–you know they’ll come back and at least for one more night, you have both a direct link to them, and a free “call option” on their doings. [It’s your car, they need/want it, and you can tell him not to go to Ryan’s party, since the parents are never home….]

I think its option B. They take the check–they dont need it terribly, though they could certainly use it–and put up with gradations of US Executive and Congressional foolishness, well-intentioned meddling and all-around no-clue-at-all pronouncements, because they really and truly do need close engagement from American Jews (and much more than you would think, Evangelical Christians.) American public and private philanthropy is, based on the reporting I’ve done, necessary to maintaining the high level of social and cultural functioning in Israel.

Telling POTUS to pound sand would alienate much of the private largesse that goes a long way to making Israel what is: a high-tech, high social service oasis in a desert. There are back channel reasons too, it must be said: US pronouncements like this go a LONG WAY to appeasing put upon Arab governments in the region. We can always say, with a shake of the Ambassador’s head, “Look, we put the wood to Bibi and he wouldn’t hear of it….What can we do?,” helping us when we ask for more deep intel or favors from their various intel or foreign service apparatuses.

    What a crappy game.

  35. Roddy Boyd says:

One final thing. Treating the Israeli PM like crap plays wonderfully for us in the MidEast. Though no Israeli PM/Foreign Minister is liked in Arab/Islamist capitals, Netanyahu is particularly despised, nearly (but not quite) as much as Moshe Dayan was.

Privately, we may rest very assured, Arab ambassadors get to go back to their despots and Kings and tell them of the many ways, publicly and privately, that POTUS is taking a new approach to Israel. It is the opposite of Bush, who was viewed everywhere in the region (save for Saudi Arabia) as another Moshe Dayan (a kicker of Arab ass non-pareil), but who found Arab back-channel cooperation with the US diminishing around 2002.

Its the Honey v Vinegar bet; a safe one for this POTUS since Jews are massively in his corner again and no Israeli PM is going to move too far from his corner.

  36. Jeff G. says:

I don’t think Jews are as in this guy’s corner as you seem to think.

  37. newrouter says:

i think israel should demand that the 70 ad borders be reestablished.

  38. Darleen says:

and much more than you would think, Evangelical Christians.

I’m of the opinion is that the close relationship of the observant Christians with Israel is at least partially behind some of the viciousness directed their way from the Left — it’s a proxy hate for their inherent antisemitism. The good secular Jews have to have some plausible deniability to stay in the Leftist camp and Fear.Of.The.Religious.Right is a way to avoid the hatred the Left has for religious Jews and Israel.

  39. Bob Reed says:

    Shameless plug

    http://powip.com/2011/05/the-taming-of-the-joooooooooooo/

Based on a quip I used in another thread. It has a couple of pretty funny photoshops, FWIW.

  40. Roddy Boyd says:

    36. Would that you were correct. But, come Novvie ’12, both of us know that most Jews will enter the polling place and vote Dem, top of the ticket down. Sadly, you, Eliot Abrams, Roger Simon and the staff of Commentary don’t count. Romney, Cain, Palin, Perry aren’t going to play in Jewish areas.

    38. I agree. Much of their antisemitism is a function of antipathy towards religion, or those who dare to profes faith, let alone those willing to fight and die for it. I need not mention that this ends when confronted with Islam, a sub-section of which is willing to help others die for their religion.

  41. SDN says:

Telling POTUS to pound sand would alienate much of the private largesse

Not as far as this Christian and his Jewish wife are concerned. And I suspect about 99% of the rest of the Evangelical community. If you substituted ground glass for sand, you could probably tack a few more nines after that decimal point…..

  42. LBascom says:

    From the first link:

The Third Palestinian Intifada on Facebook seems to have at least twenty different groups or pages, each with hundreds or thousands of fans. One group has 365,000 fans. According to Yedioth Ahronoth (YNet), these sites are now urging all Arabs to “rush the Israeli borders” after Friday prayers on May 20.

Gee, maybe those guys are right about the apocalypse being this Saturday.

Hope ya’ll stocked up for when the lights go out…

  43. Darleen says:

    Bob

Looks like Romney is all about the bus analogy, too.

“President Obama has thrown Israel under the bus. He has disrespected Israel and undermined its ability to negotiate peace,” Romney said in a statement.

“He has also violated a first principle of American foreign policy, which is to stand firm by our friends,” added the former Massachusetts governor.

  44. zino3 says:

    AAAARRRRGHHHH!

How did this arrogant little bitch, Barry, ever become the president of the USA?

It is because he is sorta black, silver-tongued, and so full of himself that his head could explode at any time. Hopey changey. As much as I think sean Hanitty is a goody two shoes, he DID try to warn us. Even I, a lunatic conservative, thought: “Let’s give him a chance”.

    CHANCE OVER, MARXIST MIRROR LOVER!

He was elected exactly because he was black (mostly by whites), but now it is racist to even raise your head in his prescence.

    Meh. Teh Monarch of us’n….

“Subjects, DO NOT look him in the eye!!!!! He is too good to have to deal with you or what you think the roll of toilet paper called the constitution means. IT MEANS WHATEVER HE SAYS, YOU MORONS!!!!”

  45. zino3 says:

I meant to add – “How did this arrogant little bitch, Barry, ever become the president of the USA?” Is it because he is Ed Schultz’s butt boy? Nope. Ed Schultz is OBAMA’S butt boy…

My fathers name was Ed Schulz, and I know that he would have kicked Ed Schultz’s butt. Because Schultz with a “T” is the low-life side of the family.

  46. LBascom says:

zino3, you remind me of Lost Dog.

  47. zino3 says:

    LBascom –

    BINGO!

I didn’t realize that zino3 would actually be my posting name. Incoherence, and all…

    I have my moments, eh?

  48. LBascom says:

I admire a man that says what he thinks.

  49. zino3 says:

Sometimes my travails get the best of me – even though I know better. Helplessness has never before been on my drop down menu, and sometimes, I just get really pissed off, and it eats me alive…

But I am old enough (by far) to remember the United Staes Of America.

    Cheers

    You are very perceptive.

You can change your posting name any time you want to, TLD.

  51. Mueller says:

Israel should double down and take the Sanai back and then Jordan and Lebanon and then negotiate.

Obama = a dose of clap.

  52. serr8d says:

What HAMAS authoriteh-figures need is a dose of the Bear Jew.

  53. I saw this on airport cnn. This line was met with a guffaw, a sort of rumbling chuckle, quiet but definitely there, like when you have your sub woofer turned up too loud and Suzy Kolber has the mic too close to her nose.

  54. McGehee says:

I didn’t realize that zino3 would actually be my posting name.

    You can change that, actually.

Where it says “Logged in as zino3,” click your username and you can put something else in as your Nickname. After you do that and update your profile, go to the dropdown menu where it says “Display name publicly as” and choose your preferred display name.

I don’t think it’ll change the name on your previous comments, though.

  55. Miss Pelling says:

This comment should display as “Miss Pelling,” but #55 should still be as “McGehee.”

  56. Miss Peller says:
