From Bloomberg news:
A suspected al-Qaeda loyalist surrendered to Saudi authorities under the kingdom’s amnesty offer to wanted militants, the Saudi government said.
Khalid bin Odeh bin Mohammed al-Harbi, also known as Abu Suleiman al-Makki, surrendered at the Saudi Embassy in Tehran, becoming the third suspect to do so under the royal amnesty. He had been living along the Iranian-Afghan border, according to a statement issued by the Saudi Embassy in Washington.
[…] Al-Makki was identified as the disabled sheikh who appeared in a videotape with al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden that was released by the Pentagon in December 2001, the Cairo-based al- Ahram Web site reported at the time, citing unidentified Arabs. Al-Makki is married to the daughter of Ayman al-Zawahiri, bin Laden’s top aide, al-Ahram said.
An unidentified Saudi Interior Ministry official cited by the government-run Saudi Press Agency said al-Makki was admitted to a hospital for medical treatment after his arrival.
In other news, terrorists claim they’ve beheaded a Bulgarian hostage. Because Islam means peace and all that.
