“Meet the 47 Congressmen Who Voted for Every Spending Cut”

Or, as I like to call them, the 47 haters who most want to harm women, children, minorities, and the earth.

It amazes me that in this day and age, some people still refuse to steal from the productive and to mortgage their grandchildren’s future. Unconscionable!

  2. newrouter says:

they were all koched up when they did that

  3. dicentra says:

Me, I vote for harming the earth.

What has it done for us lately? Ask the folks at Christchurch! Ask the folks in Haiti! Ask the folks in Brisbane!

The earth has had it in for us for centuries. Time for us to give it what for. Frank J. has it all wrong: nuke the moon? Whatever for?

    Nuke. The. Earth.

    That’ll show it.

  4. McGehee says:

My congressman isn’t on that list? That’s unbelievable.

I’m serious. WTF spending cut did he vote against!?

Seriously! I spend hundreds of dollars a week just to keep a roof over my head. Why? Because the Earth will kill me if I don’t! Not because she hates me, but because she just doesn’t care. My annual trip to the BWCA serves as a regular reminder of this fact.

If she don’t care about me, why should I care about her?

  6. LBascom says:

I had the same reaction McGehee.

    WTF Congressman Nunes?

At least McClintock mostly redeemed himself. Partly.

  7. LTC John says:

Great, contrast these serious folks with Dick Durbin, who was all over local news (in the most lop-sided, biased reporting you’d care to see) decrying the evil Republicans who want to hurt health research. Nobody asked the #$%& ‘er how to pay for government research, whilst simultaneously strangling the private sector that turns out most of our medical advances. Man, I hate that thick-as-a-brick hack’s oily manner.

  8. cranky-d says:

I had a liberal once refer to government grants for research and the like as “free money.”

That’s how they think of it.

  9. Stephanie says:

It is free money. That guy dressed in the joker suits on late night TV said so and even has books on how to get some of that ‘free money.’ I mean he’s on TV! Truthy!

  10. Carin says:

Two from michigan on that list, so not bad. WTF is up with Candice Miller? She voted for 76%.

  11. McGehee says:

Stephanie, I just know you’ll like this.

  12. McGehee says:

Lee, my congressman is Lynn Westmoreland. He got ragged for voting against some bill or other that was touted as relief for Katrina refugees. Before he was in Congress he fought fellow Republican Gov. Sonny Perdue and the leaders of his own caucus over tax hikes vs. budget cuts for the State of Georgia.

The only thing I can think of is that he was in his office clipping coupons and missed one vote, ruining his perfect record.

  13. Stephanie says:

LOL. I’d pay good money to see that guy on the side of the road panhandling for his living. Not paid to him mind you, maybe to the Koch Brothers for putting him there. They’re powerful. And can split democrats with their minds.

  14. LBascom says:

Devin Nunes has a very good name among conservatives around here, he’s been front and center on the water wars.

He voted yea 86%. I’m befuddled.

  15. Old Texas Turkey says:

Just left a message for my Congressman. McCaul is usually one of the good ones out of TX-10, but 76%(!) and no on the last vote 143 – to reset spending to 2006 levels, is not going to cut it.

  16. BJTex says:

Well I can be truly, truly grateful for my congressman in Chester County PA. Jim Gerlach ran 2 of the last three elections against radical far leftist loony Lois Murphy. So, really, Jim has a terrific opportunity to work from a conservative county and set himself up as a strong, vested conservative by strongly voting for his portion of the cutting bill …

    29%!?!?!?!?!

Um … needless to say he’s going to get a nasty E-Mail from me this afternoon.

    ….. Dear Bastard …. Dear Weenie Bastard … Dear Groin-less Bastard …

  17. David Block says:

Hmmm. 85 %. Of course, some of our neighbors (Sessions, Hensarling, Neugebauer) were at 100 %, and Burgess at 90. But seriously, “Earth to Kenny Marchant, come in please.”

Dog bites man: Ron Paul, 100 %

He almost never votes to spend money.

  18. Patrick Chester says:

dicentra: Worse than that. The Earth has driven many species to extinction for hundreds of millions of years. Not going to happen to this species!
