Missouri tea party patriots are holding a joint rally today at the state capitol building in Jefferson City to counter the coordinated union-leftist attack on Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.
Obama’s MoveOn cronies forgot to reserve the capitol grounds and were forced to hold their rally across the street. I’ll be posting photos of their rally but it’s kinda hard to see them from where we are near the steps of the state capitol.
I was living in Chicago when the Chicago Tribune posted one of those little items they use to fill up leftover space at the bottom of a column which said that Candy Lightner would no longer be the executive secretary of MADD and as a result would no longer be receiving her salary which memory thinks they said was either $72,000 or $92,000. This was around ’82 and I remember thinking I’d be for or against just about anything you wanted for that kind of money (either number would have sufficed).
Apparently Candy agreed. She went to work for The Beverage Council which is the lobbying organ for the liquor industry.

A free ride, when you’ve already paid. Good advice, that you just didn’t take.
That second one, most especially.
