Obama set to use senseless tragedy as great political opportunity

But it’s the Tea Partiers who are craven, intolerant, and dangerous. Just so you know.

Remember: dissent is the highest form of patriotism. Unless crazed extremist rightwingers who actually believe the Constitution “binding” (I mean, come on. It’s over 100 years old, for Chrissakes!) are doing the dissenting. Then it needs to be stamped out by, say, the Fairness Doctrine, or some kind of new legislation that would eliminate the hateful use of symbols, metaphors, and other dangerous rhetorical weapons being wielded by these savages.

FOR FREEDOM!

I almost read the linked article, but the opening sentence was enough to drive me nuts. It said something about Obama promising during his campaign to re-civilize politics, and I knew what was coming next. I knew it wouldn’t note the fact that Obama has done more to increase partisanship than anyone I can remember, and that he is blatant about it. Instead, the piece is probably a call to force people to change their rhetoric via legislation which will be in violation of the first amendment.

I would have read it, but my outrage meter has been hitting the max for too long and I’m not sure how much more I can take of this carp.

The progressives don’t have principles. The have goals, and they will use whatever tactics they have at hand to get there. Those tactics change with the blowing of the wind. Dissent is patriotic when they do it, anti-American when others do it. I hope few are fooled, but there will be no way to tell for sure until the next election.

Mr. Arends blames bumblefuck’s failshit job-killing policies

If just 1% of all these underemployed men lose their bearings, that would be 220,000 of them. If 10% of those then try to buy a gun in any given year, and only 1% are turned down, then about 21,800 would succeed each year. That’s an average of more than 400 per state. They’re sitting at home, brooding, reading extremist websites and polishing their guns.

This will happen again. And again.

It is simply not possible to overstate how fucking mendoucheous the libs and the MFM are.

Obama idolizes Lincoln, and like his fellow Illinoisan he sees himself as a warrior by compulsion, forced by circumstance to confront political adversaries instead of following his preferred path of reconciliation, civility and compromise.

So Politico knows how he sees himself? “A warrior by compulsion” they say. What then was compelling before his Inauguration Speech, forcing him to talk down at and dismissively of his political opposition prior to any engagement with them at all? What compelled him to ignore the Senate Minority leader for two years? And to act both early and so long upon him, damn! — sure must have been an awful thing that compelling event.

Which, being so awful, we’d think everyone would know instantly what it was. It’s funny though, nothing particular of that sort comes to mind.

  5. Bad things happen to good people, so what? Want to see some hateful rhetoric? Stand in line at a lost luggage counter at your local airport. How many of those people get shot? Fuck these assholes and fuck their sad-faced, over concerned, bullshit.

Hey, Thrush and Lee, you can take the First Organ of Male Reproduction out of your mouths now. The slot for press secretary has already been filled.

Sheesh, lubricious gobknobbling like that should dispel the notion recently that Barry will face a challenge from the Democratic Party in 2012. The devout congregants of a cult rarely immolate their god. You would think the two dolts who wrote that drivel could bother to get basic facts straight. For instance, Barry is a freaking jug-eared Hawaiian, not a native of Illinois.

Aw, that would spoil the fawning Lincoln comparison.

Seriously, “a warrior by compusion?” I LOL’ed. They must have wrote this piece with fuschia markers on a Pee-Chee folder, lying on the bed under a poster of a unicorn and David Hasselhoff. They surrounded Barry’s name with hearts and flowers.

Mr Arends is wrong — the next person to get hit will be a conservative, at which point the MFM will bend over backwards explaining how we Brought It Upon Ourselves.

  8. and like his fellow Illinoisan

    I thought it was Illinoid?

    Squid,

It may be Palin too … they are fucking inciting it by painting her as the public face of cause. My run in with the resident liberal in my household today, when failing to provide evidence of her culpability, simply sneered that “she was stupid”. Repeatedly.

  10. Reading that makes me think Obama hears this running through his head every morning whilst brushing his teeth.

    Bill fucking Ayers.

The merging of progressive aphorisms; “Never let a crisis go to waste”, and, “By any means necessary”…

God willing, the public will see through the palaverer-in-chief’s phony posturing.
