TNT gives shows more time to develop an audience and it didn’t help the show when the Fox folks got into the rate flap with Dish. Big chunk of audience gone.
Meanwhile Hank and Britt head to Mexico with Katie not far behind, to do an anchor baby in reverse kinda thing.
Hank drinks, but doesn’t drink for long, as the Terriers evolve into a low key 24 but with more angst.
BT, TNT was the network that singlehandedly killed Babylon 5: Crusade when JMS wouldn’t go along with their “suggestion” to include a character that gleaned knowledge from the “alien race of the week” by having sex with them. Don’t even try to sell TNT as caring about anything but the lowest common denominator….
SDN, allowing a show time to build a larger audience is not the same thing as pandering to the lowest common denominator. Their current shows like The Closer, Leverage, and even Saving Grace all started off slowly.
TNT uses a different formula than FX. FX does more ensemble casting, while most successful shows on TNT have at least one headliner. Holly Hunter, Timothy Hutton, Jason Lee and Alfre Woodard, Angie Harmon, Kyra Sedgwick. They also have a history of resurrecting other shows. Southland comes to mind.
I don’t know enough about the Babylon franchise to comment intelligently about what happened with Crusade. My guess is the network realized they didn’t have a fit, tried to retool the show, and couldn’t unravel the creative differences.
The re-run of the first season starts on Saturday the 8th at 11pm. 3 episodes in a row (episodes 1, 2, 3)from 11 to 2 am. The following Saturday the same with episodes 4, 5, 6. Probably continuing for 2 more Saturdays then the new season begins.
Okay. I feel better now. Deep breaths.
Possibly the worst accent this side of whatsherface in the psycho Dr eating people movie.
Sorta makes ya wonder what drugs the suits are on.
I’m still not over ,”Firefly”.
I told Amazon to email me when the DVD comes out. Sorry a[nother] good show bites the dust.
“Memphis Beat”
I know. WTF, over?
What’s Terriers? What’s Memphis Beat?

Thanks to David Thompson’s introducing me to it, I can’t stop watching this video, not that it’s his fault I’m fascinated.
“Justified” will be back next month so all is not lost.
#8 That’s a slick little item. While I’m not sure all that much about its utility, I want one anyway.

Biden is on ESPN right now. What a fucking douchenozzle.
Huh?
I could see him being the wacky color guy for bowling, though.
You have to be able to speak in a whisper. I don’t think that is possible for him.
