Green Eggs and Ham(fisted non-denial denials that both affirm and deny while denying to affirm)

“How Many Democrat Primary Candidates did Obama Successfully Persuade to Take a Dive?” Or, would they, could they in a boat? Would they, could they with a goat…?

Here’s the thing: it’s perfectly in keeping with the spirit of politics to try to have it both ways — Obama was merely acting as party leader; Obama as President had no knowledge of the individual circumstances of any of these alleged job bribe schemes. But it is not perfectly in keeping with the spirit of politics that it all be handled so poorly.

The OUTRAGE we’re beginning to sense from the press over this is not over the payola, I suspect. It’s over this Administration’s failure, by way of its transparently clumsy machinations, to provide the press with the proper cover to continue its pretense of non-ideological reportage, even as it invariably dresses to the left

After all, the mainstream press is more than happy to let a progressive government pimp them out, so long as in return they make a buck and aren’t getting beaten on routinely in return for their services. But lately, the Johns have been getting rather uppity. And, well, even activist journalists have their pride, you know…

We are to believe that they offer Sestak an unpaid advisory position to not run for Senate, a position he was not eligible for. And we are to believe that they did not offer the guy in Colorado a job, they just called to see if he was still interested in a job he had previously applied for, and that they just accidentally included job descriptions for other jobs he might could be interested in, were he not running for Senate, one job which he would have been woefully unqualified for. And, we are to believe that if those people like Clinton and Messina did offer the jobs, they did not mean to, and that exceeded their authority, and they had no knowledge of that. And, nothing wrong was done because the WH counsel says so, while admitting that they did offer a job, but that’s alright. Fuck them. And fuck you, meya/herman/etal

Not so much that second one. And, hope doesn’t mean what it used to.

Goats are for Republicans. We Democrats prefer hot young interns, staffers, and pages. Although the occasional reporter is great for variety.

As a rule, goats make better cheese than reporters do. Especially now that you-know-who is retiring from the WH press corps.

Young hot interns, staffers and pages? Bill Clinton with Monica Lewinsky? Gerry Studds banging a 17 year old boy page in a closet in the House? Barney Frank mounting a Fannie Mae executive? Eric Massa “tickling” staffers?

Don’t mimic Washington by making excuses, President Barack Obama advised graduating high school students on Monday night as he urged them to take responsibility for failure as well as success.

In remarks at Kalamazoo Central High School, Obama said it’s easy to blame others when problems arise.
