Latest buzz has Washington taking Berry at 4 (I’m not sold), which would affect just about every mock I’ve read. There’s some talk that Cleveland or San Fran is interested in Clausen, but again, I’m not sold: Cleveland can land McCoy early in the second (and he’s a perfect fit for the west coast offense) and pick up somebody like Haden or Earl Thomas at 7. And San Fran would be telling Alex Smith they have no confidence in him.
Interesting times forthcoming.
Clausen has Lady Quinn written all over him. I don’t think Jimmy goes very high.
The sleeper in this draft is Dan LeFevour, this kid is gonna make some team a playoff contender next year.
If you don’t have the NFL network channel, here.
Or this if you just want the basic info.
(11.) Half Jay Cutler
(42.) R.I.P.
75. Zzzzz…
3 pieces and stripes are in this year. No 14 button jackets though.
Cleveland next, McCoy or the apeman?
Browns pick Haden. Haden is tremendously athletic; hope he does well in the pros.
I gotta stop listening to local sports. Had me convinced Holmgren would go with a QB.
The Browns will take McCoy at 39, or move up to get him I’m convinced.
Al Davis got a great player, but filled a non-need, when there were opportunities to shore up some weak spots.
Maybe the Pack can pick up an o-lineman after all.
Can anyone explain the Chargers?
Denver is just collecting picks right now. They just picked up at least 3 extra picks, plus LB Dobbins from Miami.
LT gone. Sproles is a smallish, yet effective back. That kid they drafted, bh, is 220 or so and ran a 4.3 forty.
Yeah, I guess that makes sense. They just made that kid far richer than expected.
The draft got kind of crazy there for a bit.
There are going to be some really good players available in the 2nd Round.
I can’t decide if it makes sense for the Pack to make a move here for Brian Beluga. I think it does, all in all.
Woohoo!
Demaryius Thomas is a freakishly big and fast receiver. Reminds me of Boldin.
We just snagged Brian Bulaga at #23!!! How the hell did that happen?
God loves the Pack.
That dude really does look like a Packer.
If he helps Rodgers stay off his back, he also looks like a hero.
The Cowgirls are moving up to draft someone with serious issues? SHOCKA
He is from Chicago, or the northern suburbs, no?
Heh.
Crystal Lake, JD. Marion Catholic HS.
Guess that indicates they aren’t too sanguine about Roy, huh? What a dud that guy’s been.
That guy is a physical freak. Dez Bryant. Tebow to Baltimore? LOL
Nevermind – Tebow to Denver.
Holy shit, Tebow to Broncos.
That makes little sense with the others available, and having Orton and Quinn.
You’se aren’t pulling our leg are ya? Serious, to Denver?
Serious.
Jeff, we need a Broncos fan reaction.
That don’t make much sense, given he’d probably still be around in a later round and what with other qb’s still out there. Headscratcher fer reals.
Somebody better keep Jeff G away from tall buildings tonight.
What are the commentariat saying about it? Surprise? Shock? Amusement? Appalled?
They are defending it. He has a big heart. He works hard. Great teammate. Wildcat.
His “intangibles are off the chart”, said one.
First image in the Tebow queue on Google images. Which, ok.
To be honest, I’m happy that we’ll at least see if he’s got the pro ball talent. If he got picked too late he’d just ride the bench for years and we’d never find out.
By the way, there is so much talent still out there it’s not even funny. It might be smart for some teams to try and pick up an extra pick in the 2nd.
That’s a page 2 model from the UK, sdferr. She was on celebrity big brother UK.
page 3, I mean.
I was hoping that Williams would fall to the Colts. Arrelious Benn will likely still be available, but with Gonzo coming back next year, and our pair of young receivers, Garcon and Collie, I doubt we take a receiver in the 1st.
Thank you, sdferr.
Lucy Pinder.
Sergio Kindle might still be available for the Colts!
I was just taken aback by the size of her hands. Wot?
Taylor Mays is still out there. Maybe take Clausen or McCoy and let them learn behind Peyton? bh was right about there being a ton of good players left.
By the way JD, check out Sidney Crosby every chance you get. It doesn’t get any better as far as i.h. goes.
Kindle or Mays would be nice pick ups for the Colts.
I may be a true hockey fan, yet, but Crosby beat the States in the Olympics, so I hate him. ;-)
I am not yet be, is what I meant to type …
Tebow to Denver.
I’m just waiting for the deluge of “cumslut” comments now…
I am officially a horrible typer
I did not realize all of the players the Jets bought this year. Cromartie on that D? Sick.
Who stands behind Fabvbvre in Minn? Might they be looking to the future and take McCoy, tell Fabvbvre to turn him into a project?

Jason Taylor, Cromartie, Tomlinson, Santonio Holmes, and now either Kindle or Hughes.
Favre won’t mentor anyone. Ask Rodgers and the bald guy with back problems in Seattle.
I’m a bad fan. I am. But I guess the Browns took the kid who had a terrible time at the combine in the 40? Hayden, the kid from Florida? Bad night for me as Cleveland fan. Cavs lose and the Browns take a “slow” cornerback? WTF!
Haden is a stud stud stud, OI.
You’ll like Haden once you see him play OI. He’s a peach. Played qb in highschool in Maryland, best qb in the state if I remember right. He’s a terrific CB too, no worries.
He’s not slow at all. He fast.
I’m with the other guys, OI. Think you guys got a great player.
Rumor was that he had a sore back when he ran, and is really a 4.3 guy, OI. Don’t fret over this pick. It was a good one.
Okay, guess the Colts pick, JD.
CJ Spiller ran a 4.27 forty?!?!?!?!
I guess Taylor Mays or the tackle from USC, Johnson maybe?
If you guys get Mays, you have a chance of a perennial pro bowler. He’s a freak.
But hell, Kindle and Hughes are studs too.
He may not be able to crack the starting lineup in Indy.
Good, let him learn the system for a year and mature.
I think the C’s ought to try to pry AP loose from Minn. Don’t know how, but the combo would be pretty keen.
Denver traded picks with the Ravens and picked…Tim Tebow? Maybe they think he looks a lot like a rookie Steve Young, or, John Elway!
Who knows, I’ll reserve judgement until I see how well, and often, he can sell the Zebras the proposition that he threw the ball before he crossed the line of scrimmage :)
But seriously, maybe McDaniels truly thinks he fits their system better, in the long run, and has lost confidence in Cutler. Tebow is a pretty tough guy.
I was close.
AP is a fumbling fumbler.
Hughes is a good pick. Chain him to Freeney during training camp.
You were right JD, Colts took Hughes.
McDaniels lost Cutler about a year ago, Bob ;-)
Tis true, but he’s going to waste up there. Dude’s got chops other than pitching the ball on the ground.
I would love love love to have AP in our offense. However, we used 1st Round draft picks on Addai and Brown.
Manning would personally strangle him after his first two turnovers.
This was cool. I hope they do the first round primetime again next year.
I agree, this was cool to have in primetime. I would have taken Mays, but after hearing some of the local talking heads talking, I understand why we didn’t.
Soooo much talent left. Trade everything not nailed down for an extra pick in the 2nd.
Ooooh, thanks for tightening me up there JD. I had forgotten that Cutler went to Chicago last year. Maybe the Broncos needed Tebow after all.
I can’t really watch a lot of out of town games here in NYC, sav for Monday nights. On Sunday, everything else is pushed aside to air the Giants and Jets games. Or the wife and I are in B-more using my Ravens season tickets. And I’m too cheap to pay for the NFL network, or season ticket, or whatever, to use for the season only.
When I moved here a few years ago I sold my Redskin’s season tickets for a small fortune.
Ha, now it looks like you’re just being vengeful: wanting the Vikes to keep him to suffer the consequences bh. Dirty Greeny Cheesehead.
Bob – You will be able to watch the Colts in primetime 6 times this year.
sdferr – I would trade Addai for AP.
Heh, sdferr, seeing as how their d-line is a pack of scary, scary monsters, the Pack needs every chance for a turnover they can get.
Just for grins, who was the producer of the most beautiful football — in a consistent sense as opposed to a single play — that you guys have seen? Mostly I think of runners I guess, Sayers and OJ (particularly OJ at USC), Staubach at Navy and somewhat less at Dallas, Sonny J. tossing to Taylor and Mitchell, and nowadays Peyton getting his bomb on.
Tebow, to the Broncos?
‘feets will never forgive ’em.
sdferr – Barry Sanders. Montana/Young to Rice/Taylor/Clark/Owens. Ronnie Lott hitting someone. Barry Sanders.
Most people in this area would probably say Sayers but that’s before my time.
For me, it’d have to be the Montana/Young to Rice combos, I suppose.
I saw too little of Sanders, but the few clips I have seen are pretty damned spectacular all right.
Barry Sanders was a true joy to watch. (And the Packers took Tony Mandarich instead of him in the draft.)
Staubach used to do amazing things with ball fakes and body fakes at Navy, stuff I’ve never seen done again really, I think.
Sanders was also a classy SOB. Giving the ball to the refs after scoring. Acting like he’d been there before.
Rodger Dodger.
Play-action Peyton to Harrison/Wayne.
Anybody see much of Bo Jackson? I saw him as a KC Royal catch a ball in Baltimore at the wall going full tilt and run right up the wall and back down again like nothing happened. Took five minutes for my jaw to tire of hanging open.
Bo Jackson did things in baseball and football that are beyond description.
Before I hated his guts and innards, Favre was a consistently fun guy to watch take all those chances.
I’m with you on the running game sdferr,
Jim Brown, Sayers, Payton, Kiik, Czonka, Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, Tomlinson-for the first few years in the pros, and I see glimmers of something in that kid Rice in Baltimore.
As far as airing it out? Of course, Dan Fouts, Ken Stabler, Staubach, Sonny J, and Joe Montana made the highlight reels look real good.
I always preferred lining it up, and playin’ some smash-mouth. There is a place for passing, but it’s usually off of play action, after you’ve run so many times the D lineman and linebackers eyeballs are jiggling :)
Run it down their throat until their eyeballs jiggle, and then go play action !
Duane Thomas was a thing to behold running in his first couple of years too, surly character though he was (I couldn’t help but take his side of I didn’t know what though).
And too, though I detested the Skins in those days, Larry Brown could wow me now and then too.
The beautiful part about Montana was that he wasn’t all that beautiful. He had an average arm, average stats, really slow feet, but was a leader, as clutch as they came, and always a winner.
Terrell Davis and that Denver o-line was also consistently great football.
Matthews (went to SD from Fresno State) was fun to watch, awesome talent. I wish the Broncos got him, especially after losing Brandon Marshall.
I don’t get Teabow either. They already have three QB’s after signing Brady Quinn last month.
Oh, how can I forget them, those years the Rams had that unstoppable offense was just incredible to watch. Warner, Faulk, Bruce, Holt. Just a scoring machine.
i am an offensive guy, and Air Coryell was a joy to watch, and way ahead of its time. Fouts to Jefferson and Winslow were sensational.
Denounced!
That was a given, bh. And I really teed that one up for you.
Teed up? Garo Yepremian, not a pretty footballer.
Wasn’t Garo the kicker on that wild play against the Vikings way back when. I think maybe a Viking defender ran the ball the wrong way after recovering a botched field goal or punt … ?
Yep, but the Skins not Vikes I think, inna SuperBwl.
I thought it was maybe Jim Page. But I was little.
Garo Yepremian is an Armo name if I’ve ever heard one.
I miss Chicago Armenians.
My thoughts: Demaryius Thomas has big upside. A freak to replace the Beast, and a high character guy. The size of Marshall, but with speed to stretch the field. A lot of prognosticators had the Broncos taking Dez Bryant at 11. They could have had him at 24 but passed and took Thomas instead. That sends a message to the team. Good pick for our system; he hasn’t really run a route tree, but then, Marshall wasn’t a very good route runner either. And he doesn’t cost us $50 million.
The Tebow pick is splitting the fan base already. We used a second that we got in the Marshall trade, a third we picked up from the trade with Philly, and a fourth. That means we were playing with house money, more or less, and we netted one of the best college players ever. Keep in mind that McDaniels is something of a QB guru, working with both Brady and Matt Cassel before taking on Orton (who played well until he injured his ankle). And Tebow is very coachable. From that perspective, the pick makes sense: the Broncos still have a 2nd and two 3rds for tomorrow, and they likely won’t be shy about using next years picks (in what will be a far weaker draft).
The concern here is that they haven’t addressed immediate needs (even though Thomas does just that, if you ask me). The Broncos need a center, a guard, a DT, and maybe an inside linebacker. Plenty of talent left for them at those positions, so if they pull well tomorrow, I think that will ease a lot of people’s minds.
Centers and guards are not traditionally high picks; and this draft is deep at DL/DT. So we’ll see. The next few days will be revealing.
The wiki-file:
Demaryius is a stud, Calvin Johnson with better wheels.
I hereby request more draft threads the next couple days. Good times.
Oh, and let me add: Buffalo was putting together a package to come up and take Tebow. Minnesota also might have selected him at 30. And NE could have taken him, as well. So moving up was necessary if Denver really wanted the kid.
The Broncos addressed a lot of needs in free agency. Their entire starting defensive front from last season are now the second part of a rotation that includes Jamal Williams (from SD); Justin Bannan (from Baltimore), and Jarvis Green (from New England). Last year’s number 1, Robert Ayers, will take over at OLB, most likely — and Mario Haggan will move between OLB and ILB, taking over for Andra Davis.
I expect the Broncos to take a run at Brandon Spikes from Florida, who would be an ideal fit in the middle. Their secondary, while old, is still very good, with Bailey and Goodman at the corners, last year’s #37 pick Alphonso Smith in the nickel, and Brian Dawkins, Renaldo Hill, Darcel McBath, David Bruton, and Josh Barrett as safeties and match-up defenders.
The only real immediate needs — and they were the reason for the Broncos’ collapse last year — were adding depth to the DLine rotation (which we accomplished through free agency) and bulking up at center and guard, where we were small last year as a holdover from the zone blocking scheme Shanahan liked to run.
McDaniels is a power run guy. So I expect us to look at Vlad Ducasse at guard. But if we can find a center, a corner, a linebacker (Sean Lee is still available, as is Spikes) and another running back / return guy, I’d be happy.
Football players named Vlad have to be good.
There is a Butterfinger commercial where a guy staples another guy to a cubicle. It makes me laugh.
Single player: Earl Campbell. Team: Steel Curtain Defense.
He had a big heart, JD. ;p
I was thinking that Tebow or Quinn is trade bait, or they put Tebow in on the goal line. Either way he doesn’t throw a pass this year.
Local radio guys are wondering why Tebo over Claussen. All I can say is I watched that Gruden special on ESPN where he sat and watched tape with the top four QB prospects and Claussen’s a dud. Tebow is coachable, but a backup and McCoy’s a stud. Personality-wise anyway.
Florida fan here so I was happy to see Teebow go first round (and a little surprised- I had him high 2nd round). One thing about Teebow, especially in light of the recent fiasco with Rapeslesburger, you’ll never have to worry about the guy going off the reservation or running afoul of the law. You may have to deal with him missing some camp due to summer mission trips but arrests? Not so much.
Tebow. One e; one w.
Brandon Spikes is good, but he’s probably better from a teamwork perspective than he is raw talent. He’s not so much about trying to make his numbers stand out as he is about winning.
Major Wright is also very, very good, and can put a Major Wrong on the other guy.
So hard to tell. Jevon Kearse was freakishly good in college, and wound up doing some good things in his pro career, but kind of fizzled. I saw Kearse run down a WR that had been trashtalking before the game and take the ball away from him; he’s got that much burst speed.
Well, when all is said and done, the Broncos wound up picking twice in the first round — and to do so, they ultimately had to exchange a 2 for a 3.
So Tebow was almost a freebie, if you think about it. I can’t fault the pick from that perspective.
People here in Denver tend to fall in love with whomever ESPN tells them to.
Thanks for talking me down last night, guys. To be honest, all I knew about the kid was his 40 times in the combine and I thought that a CB should fare better than that. I’m in full on basketball mode right now, so I haven’t paid as much attention to football as I ordinarily would. Sounds like the Browns filled a definite need. Now, onto the many others.
Been out to dinner with the Tebow family on a number of occasions. Father’s a bit annoying (I’m Catholic and he’s VERY dogmatic and preachy – Tim isn’t) , but Mom’s great and Tim’s the real thing. Went higher than I expected and goodness knows if he’ll make it as a QB, but I wouldn’t bet against him. The sports history books are loaded with successful QBs that didn’t fit in to Mel Kiper’s molds. Gene Smith goes to my church on Fleming Island and i can tell you that he’s not altogether enamored with a whole lot that Kiper says.
Well, as I say, it’s essentially a free pick, so I’m not upset by it. However, I’m not sure why you draft Tebow after you’ve traded for Brady Quinn — and after you drafted Tom Brandstater last season.
But I just handle it by pretending someone gave him to us. We had another first, and though he’s raw, Thomas was ranked very highly by a number of graders — and some thought he might go ahead of Dez Bryant. We still have a second round pick. And now, instead of a second 2nd round pick, we have 2 third rounders.
I think of it this way. Most teams, after free agency, only have a place on their rosters for 5 or 6 new guys anyway — which is why many 5-7th rounders, as well as UFA, wind up getting cut or make their way to the practice squad.
The Broncos have a couple very intriguing dline prospects that were either on the practice squad or kept active last year (but didn’t play) who they might believe ready.
The team that drafts best first evaluates their team’s talent best. My guess is, McDaniels believes Chris Baker, Everette Pedescleaux, Seth Olsen, and Marquis Branson are all ready.
Meanwhile, our local sports radio guys — who have never gotten over the loss of Cutler and Shanahan (and now Marshall) — are blasting McDaniels, pretending it’s because he didn’t address the defense. This, after bringing in 3 D-lineman in free agency.
I think we could have used that second first round pick on a corner. But McDaniels and Xanders have my faith for now — and I honestly think that if the Broncos shore up their o-line — either through the draft or using internal talent — and having already addressed the run defense depth, they are a 10 win team this season.
I don’t know if Jay Cutler’s all that inspirational at quarterback. You kind of need someone heroic in the team-leadership position, and I can’t see Jay being that guy.
Good quarterback, though. The Man From Santa Claus needs to crank up the toy factory a bit to get the Bears going this year, though.
Here in the Twin Cities, our morning news anchor used to be the sports guy. Still is, in a lot of ways. This morning, he looked a little more tired than usual, and you could hear a little venom in his voice when he mentioned that the Vikings didn’t even make a pick last night.
As a long-suffering Vikings fan, I’m sure he took it in stride.
The pundits are blasting us right now. But honestly? I think we got the best receiver in the draft, and after you do all the math, we used a 3rd round pick to move up 20 spots from 45 to 25 to select Tebow.
Pretty good haul, and well played by Xanders and McDaniels.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the Broncos, after today, have no first and no seconds in next year’s draft. Go all in.
I don’t see Quinn working out in the NFL. I think Teebow sits bench behind Cutler for a year and if he improves sufficiently during that time frame, I think you’ll see him start year 2. They’ll trade Cutler and use Quinn as a “traditional QB” backup. The thing about Teebow is, once you get past whatever conflicts you have with his personality (and I still say this is half the reason all the ESPN smart guys piled on him – they don’t like the religion thing in their face)he really is a hard worker with a great attitude. People I know at Florida who have met him say he’s about the most genuine down to earth person they’ve ever met. I applaud Denver’s strategery too – Jeff’s point that it was practically a free pick, was my thought last night as well.
Squid – That may have been a good thing, considering how deep this draft is.
Jeff G – Agreed on the best receiver, but only because Dez is kind of a headcase, making him a perfect Cowgirl.
Matt – Cutler is in Chicago, played for the Bears for a year now. ESPN’s people dumped on him? They have been publicly fellating him for years, so the idea that all of a sudden the same issues that they promoted became a liability does not seem to stand up to reason.
My local guys, mind you these are two high school basketball coaches broadcasting from the McDonald’s, think Quinn’s the reason Claussen didn’t get picked. I guess ND qb’s have a reputation as punks. Tebow is a super rah-rah and will pick up any locker room he’s in, that’ll put a lot of heat on Quinn to step up, no?
LMC – There may be some residual from that, but I suspect that his being lousy in the lockerroom and not all that respected by his teammates had more to do with it.
Wan’t McDaniels with the Pats and Hoodie who has had a fairly long running fascination with Urban and Urban’s offense? I think so anyhow, so there’s a personal(?) tie there I’m guessing. Or at least the possibility of favorable prior exposure.
Oh, nice to see Riley Cooper is ranked fairly high among remaining receivers. Higher than Brandon James, even. James started out looking really good as a kick-return guy, and that’s where he excels. Once he started doubling up as a WR/utility back/all-around Percy Harvin kind of guy, though, his stats went into the toilet.
Which says to me he’s really best off doing only kick returns, or he needs some more in the conditioning department. And I’m not talking hair products, here.
Other positions: I think Tony Pike is a fine quarterback; he only really looked bad in Florida’s drubbing of the Bearcats at the Sugar Bowl, which I was fortunate enough to be able to watch from decent seats. Dexter McCluster always impressed me, but he might be considered too small at RB (Emmitt Smith notwithstanding). Anthony Dixon is almost as good, and bigger. At TE, I’ve already made my feelings known: Aaron Gonzalez is going to do well for whoever picks him up, provided they use him like the Cowboys use Jason Witten. He’s big, strong, and lean. He might be able to pick up a bit more weight without losing much mobility.
Terrence Cody is a big friggin’ DT, and has good moves.
I’m a little surprised to see Javier Arenas so low on the list as corner. He’s extremely talented, if a little short/stocky for a corner at 5’9″/197.
Meanwhile, the Fastest Man in the Nation should count it a miracle if he gets picked at all. Trindon Holliday is unbeatably fast once he gets going, but it’s the getting-going thing that’s a problem.
I think Illini Arrelious Benn should get picked fairly quickly this evening. I really like that Dexter kid from Ole Miss that Slart mentioned above, and suspect he can make for a very good and versatile back.
Gonzalez would be a nice 5th or 6th weapon for Peyton, no?
If under Slart’s hypothetical he were to be used like Witten, then more like a 1st or 2nd JD.
Gonzalez is a potentially better YAC guy than Witten, I think. The guy truly has baffling moves for as big as he is.
Agreed Slart, Witten is more or less bull-like after reception.
sdferr – He would come in behind Dallas Clark, likely a perennial All-Pro. And in the progression from Wayne – Garcon – Gonzo – Collie, a rookie TE is likely to fall down the list ;-)
The question though is one of relative future value, so while Clark has been terrific, one might argue his best days are past and his future is one of inevitable decline, whereas with yer skilled new guy, his best are ahead and etc. So not to say Clark won’t deliver future value, but that whatever that value may be, the likelihood is (after ten years) it becomes slowly less. Seems to me — and it’s a hard thing to do, obviously, since it’s so rare that’s it’s done well for extended periods — the best way to stay on top is to have the roster filled out with players producing at peak for the longest stretches, which in turn means pruning away (through beneficial trades, I assume) before the declines begin. But that’s a bystanders view, of course. Easier said than done, I mean.
Yes, I suppose you could look at it that way. It seems to me that Dalla is just coming into his own, and has not yet reached his peak, as evidenced by this being just his first of many Pro Bowl selections. I guess one could also note that he has had several Pro Bowl worthy seasons prior to this year, and just finally got recognized, so he may be at his peak.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not sure I would pass on the young Gator.
Apropos of nothing football, I was surprised the Pens didn’t put the Sens away last night, and more surprised that the Devils lost, given the absence of Carter and Gagne on the Flyers end.
So it looks like, should the Caps polish off Montreal tonight (which is far from a certainty, though it shouldn’t be) the Caps are going to face an undermanned Flyers team in the next round, which in turn could have its better and worse aspects. Better, because if things play out as we might imagine, the Caps have a relatively easy series, say 4-1 or 4-2 at worst, more time off, and so on. Worse, insofar as they need to learn to struggle, to have to fight for the right to move on — they show too many signs of being careless if not just plain lazy, which doesn’t cut it, can’t cut it, if the Cup is the object.
Learning to have to fight, as you put it, is very important, sdferr.
And under that umbrella, let’s put being willing to put your body (and with it, your face) in front of a hard rubber disk traveling at 90 mph. The Caps aren’t noted shot-blockers, I’m thinking.
The Caps appear to be struggling tonight.
Jordan Shipley, Colt McCoy, and that Gator TE are still out there.
I ain’t watching cept on the internets here. And yes, seeming stinky. Another goal and Jose maybe gets to come back in, which on the whole, I think would be good, as it wasn’t all his fault he got pulled in the first place.
Along with Spikes and Dunlap too.
oops, spoke too soon, Dunlap’s now a Bengal.
And damn, Jermain Cunningham went right before him too, which makes a kind of sense of its own.
Who’s the best safety or corner left? A bunch of them came off the board and the Pack needs a couple.
Maybe we just take another OT. Couple decent ones left.
Mike Neal? I don’t get it. Ted Thompson, you, sir, are a goofball.
There have been some odd picks as of late …
I thought for sure that the Browns were trading up to get Colt McCoy.
bh – Major Wright was still available.
He’s good too, I think JD, solid tackler anyhow.
Yeah, I see two OTs, three safeties and a couple corners I’d have taken over Neil.
I guess they saw something in him or a couple of our DTs have some lingering injuries I don’t know about.
Ovie tallies
Angerer soothing JD, or angering?
Angerer? I have no idea what some of these guys are thinking.
Heh, they only get 5 mins tonight bh, the pressure must be
unbearable.
bwa-ha-haddilies
The Saints just snagged some value.
2-1, very disappointing that.
Angerer? I trust Poulian. Our last few from Iowa have been just dandy. Dallas Clark. Bob Sanders.
Cleveland did awesome getting Colt McCoy this late. I think that teams that needed a QB will regret not taking this kid.
Now I know why the Colts did not take Taylor Mays. He is a fucking head case.
