I drove from Louisville to Nashville with this one and “aftermath USA” on repeat one night.
This is the song that jumped out at me the last time I saw them.
Patterson and I almost got seated on a jury together last summer, two girls got in a scrap in the projects and one pressed charges. The defendant came strolling in for the 8:30 jury selection in stiletto heals, huge hoop earrings, painted on peg leg jeans, the whole nine yards. Got a call a few days later they had settled, I know Patterson was fucking pissed because there had to be at least one song in that trial.
There’s a line in there about not keeping your mouth shut. Worth digging out and applying.
If you’re supposed to watch your mouth all the time,
I doubt your eyes would be above it.
Drive-By Truckers rule!
5 guitars? Haven’t seen that since Skynyrd…Great song!!
OOPS, did I say something?
I liked this, thanks.
I like that I couldn’t see it at the place where I go during the day. here’s a for real video of them… they have girl drive-by truckers too… girls what aren’t scared of a double-double
If you like DBT check out Blue Mountain.
I have Dog Days on disc.
I love that song! DBT’s are terrific and you rock, Jeff!
Thanks, ducktrapper. For whatever reason, I think of this song kind of as my own personal anthem.
Know the feeling Jeff. Hope Cooley pulls it out of the archives in Boston tonight.
Seconded.
