“Wouldn’t it be easier just to get Geithner to “bailout” the tailor?”
Easier? Yes but that wouldn’t be any fun. The real good part about power is making someone do something, something they don’t want to do, but will because you have the power. Illinois Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias will get off on this and also have a favor to trade with the O! man.
When someone as intelligent as Mark Steyn can use “bailout” as a (one-word) verb, I have no hope for the 4/5 of the population that don’t know how many millions there are in a trillion.
But I’ll make the effort: A combination like bail+out is one word when used as a noun, but two as a verb and adverb.
“Given the precedent of the Wall Street bailouts, the government’s plan to bail out GM and Chrysler should come as no surprise.”
LTC – man, you ain’t kidding. Just how far such aristocracy reaches. Hollywood has turned into reaching w/in their own ranks for talent. Even if none exists.
There was a time when people criticized the business world for nepotism. Now, everyone has simply joined ranks.
OT/ but did anyone else catch that bit yesterday about the average salary of a federal employee? It was around $75,000. Average salary in private industry – $45,000.

This is a consequence of the Tom Daschle law of jobs.
“To professionalize, you must federalize.”
The problem is the only thing that got “professionalized” was the pay. Obama has shown that, at least at the White House level, they have nobody who is professional except in pay and perks.
It bugs me that you can keep giving off good lines like this.
Dick.
This SEIU thinger a lot owns our dipshit president it seems. He’s sort of a pussy how they push him around.

And I second what bh said.
Of course, Giannoulias was handpicked by Barack Obama.
That’s the kind of person he wants on the Supreme Court.
A corrupt weasel.
And people wonder why the Governors don’t want his blood money?
You took my money, I own your soul. Bitches.
I agree with #1…it’s not fair. I want reparations.
The employees are going to have a sit in. Sit ins are magical.
I can’t decide if this is primarily whining or spinning. Either way, it’s terribly bad form.
Democrats: CIA is out to get us
I can’t help think that the CIA is feling exactly the opposite.

The employees are going to have a sit in.”
What are they going to sit in?
Will they need dry cleaning? A new suit, perhaps?
Alexi wants to be our next Governor. Quite badly he does. Who is he? Alexi
Of course he will have to run against the daughter of our Speaker of the House (IL). Lisa
When I was in Europe, I used to idly wonder what it was like to have an hereditary aristocracy. Now I know.
It takes 3000 people to make Barack’s suits?
The stuff up the page where Steyn’s shitting all over the Meghan-sounding Cato wuss is good.
And there aren’t many good things there lately (except from Steyn), so.

Have you heard the Kennedy’s are starting to fight over who “gets” Teddy’s Senate office?

Nothing like wage and price controls to make us all feel more American, eh Pablo?
Just another example of Obama following in Nixon’s footsteps.
Or FDR’s.
You know what really makes me feel good? Knowing that we’ll be sending troops into Pakistan so we’re not just air raiding villages and killing civilians.
Either that, or it’s OBUTCHER! Whoops! Too late.
…or Carter
Uh…Pablo,
Those are no longer women and children. They are now terrorist-in-training and terrorist-support-staff.

RACIST!!!
Isn’t Barak a Man of the People? Men’s Wearhouse is calling.
#15 – gee, thanks for that Rob. I think I am going to go stub my toe to have something to feel less bad about…
