“‘As we informed both you and the leadership of the intelligence committees last September, a number of executive branch lawyers including lawyers from the Department of Justice participated in the determination that, in the appropriate circumstances, the use of these techniques is fully consistent with U.S. law.’
“As reported in the press, a cover letter from CIA Director Panetta accompanying the briefings memo released this week concedes that the descriptions provided by the CIA may not be accurate.â€

The thing about Pelosi is it doesn’t matter if she lies or just goes around making stuff up. Her San Francisco constituency won’t care. As long as she continues to exhale carbon dioxide they’ll reelect her. I used to live in the San Francisco Bay Area and those loons won’t even be embarrassed about her – she’s going to be the female Robert Byrd.
Her constituents back home and her caucus members in the House are two entirely different political animals though, .38+P. SnarlFranciscan’s can send her back to Congress until she keels over, yet that doesn’t qualify her to hold the highest office in the Legislature.

The only “qualification†to become the speaker of the house is having the ability to convince your party members to support you.
