Well Ted Kennedy’s head IS exactly the same size as Barry Bonds’s. Just sayin’ . . . .

    Benedick,

    From your link:

Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala today charged seven employees of ACORN — the left-leaning Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now — with forgery and election law violations, saying they filed hundreds of fraudulent voter registrations during last year’s general election.

Mr. Zappala said there is no indication that any of the fraudulent registrations resulted in fraudulent votes. Rather, it appeared the workers were submitting fake or doctored registration forms in order to be paid their daily $40 wage.

    Sure Zappy, sure…

    Manny who?

If performance is more important than honesty, how did “cinco de quatro” Obama get into the White House?

“Mr. Zappala said there is no indication that any of the fraudulent registrations resulted in fraudulent votes. Rather, it appeared the workers were submitting fake or doctored registration forms in order to be paid their daily $40 wage.”

This is a classic example of ACORN setting their employees up to fail and then throwing them under the bus after their fraudulent activity is exposed.

Set aside for a moment the legitimate issue of potential voter fraud taking place here. Investigations against ACORN for this kind of nonsense go back as far as 2004, and when they came under scrutiny yet again last year, the org’s leaders blamed a lack of proper training, supervision, and unmotivated employees due to low hourly pay rates (typically, these kids would canvass for about 1-2 hours, get bored, then spend the rest of the shift filling out forms themselves so they could get paid).

Even if ACORN was totally legit, they are still guilty of gross incompetence at best and outright treachery against their own employees at worst. They’ve had at least FOUR YEARS to come up with a practical training plan, an appropriate supervisory program, and a clear chain of command, and they have UTTERLY FAILED. When they get wind that the government is looking into their fraudulent activities, they report the employees and lay ALL the blame at their feet. Nobody every considers that their crummy training practices are setting up their own employees to be brought up on charges.

You’d think that the left would be suspicious of an organization that treats its employees like disposable trash and human legal shields, but not so much. “Greatest good for the greatest number,” “ends justifies the means” and all that.

Now, as a reward for those “Herculean efforts”, they get to conduct the freakin’ Census.

    What could possibly go wrong?

    BJT,

The noise you’re looking for is a more Nelson Munz-esque, “HA ha!”

I really think all drugs should be legalized, but so long as there is one poor, dumb, clean bastard out there trying to compete with these over-hyped freaks this is cheating. Maybe baseball should just announce that it no longer cares about PEDs and that players can use what they will no questions asked?

  13. I'm a Hypocrite says:

And maybe we should be real careful about letting baseball players near our kids.

Performance enhancing drugs are neat because they enhance performance and you don’t like it you should shut you face. I don’t think I can make myself any more clear.

If folks are getting suspended 50 games for taking female fertility drugs, how about dropping the hammer on Perez Hilton? No beauty pageant judging gigs for you, flamer.

  18. Rusty says:

This means the Cubs got a chance against the Dodgers. Go Cu……..oh the hell with it.
