Rolling In It [Dan Collins]

Yesterday’s MSM-megaphoned whining about all the wingnut welfare we right-of-center bloggers garner seems to have won Hamsher and her colleagues a promise from Americans United for Change to bankroll their efforts on behalf of Teh Narrative. As Hamsher says, they don’t have to be told to parrot the talking points.

Director Blue has up an excellent post on what it looks like when the narrative gets its due promulgation in the MSM (thanks, Topsecretk9). It really was quite rude for Obama to say, after all that kneepad servicing, thanks, I won, now, now let me finish my waffle. But how is it exactly that they justify this blowjob boodle? By demonstrating (through mere assertion) that all of the wingnutty business of Tea Party Protesting is Astroturf!

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen! The whole thing is bankrolled by front foundations for BOOOOOOOSH! There’s just one more question that needs now to be resolved: WHERE’S MY GORRAM BOOOOOOOOOODLE?!

I mean, because who are you gonna believe?

Correction: via Barrett Brown’s comment, I see that I am mistaken. It was a blog that published the complaints. The parts that I had seen read like a newspaper article and I didn’t do my due diligence. Apologies.

    N. O’Brain –

That’s why it’s whoring, and not just being a slut.

  5. Barrett Brown says:

Dan, you refer to the “wingnut welfare” story as being “MSM-megaphoned.” Which MSM outlets have been covering it?

  6. Dan Collins says:

No, you’re right, Barrett. Correction made. Thanks.

Interesting bunch of “veterans” at that site you linked claiming the tax protests are all some lobbyist-dreamed-up kabuki theatre.

  9. A Balrog of Morgoth says:

The guy who wrote the article is apparently not “100%” behind Obama. Who did he vote for?

    Nader.

    LOL.

    He wrote in Cynthia McKinney.

The list above, our patriotic resistance movement is also interchangable as a list of “Who’s Who: American Scumbags”

It can’t be a popular grassroots movement if people and groups of people actually support and contribute to it don’t you know.

Grassroots movements have to be small, unknown, unsupported, unpopular, unfriendly, and ineffective. That’s the way the Sensible/Pragmatic/Moderate/Progressives like it to be for those they despise. Hicks ‘R US!

  14. easyliving1 says:

“We were going to send Biden out to fight the Taliban with snowballs, but we didn’t have to,” joked Kerry, a Democrat, to the AP. “Other than getting a little cold, it was fine.”

Holy shit, John Kerry made me chuckle.

  15. LTC John says:

    Yeah, like ACORN.

Good thing they don’t take any government money, or they’d lose all credibility!

  17. geoffb (JARAIP) says:

I like this quote from Hamsher.

“”[Liberal groups] come to us, expecting us to give them free publicity, and we do,”

What part of “free publicity” does she not understand. Asking for payback negates the “free” part. Then again these are the people who think “volunteers” should be paid.

  18. You don’t think Hamsher and gang are advocating some sort of Capitalism? Not very progressive of them ….

  19. The Hamsters just want a little “walking around” money. You know, their cut.

    It’s not pay, it’s tribute.

  20. MarkD says:

Rockefeller? Not the one whose mistress assumed had a do not resuscitate order? The former distinguished Governor of New York caught dead with a mistress instead of live with a hooker?

The embarassment from West Virginia that is not Robert Byrd? Carry on.

  21. Mikey NTH says:

They want to be a press flak but have a fancier title?
Then they should hire on as one and negotiate the job title.

Otherwise, this is very odd. Groups wanted these bloggers to publish something favorable and the bloggers didn’t say up front “How much?”. And now these bloggers are upset that these groups are honoring that non-contract by not paying the money that wasn’t negotiated in the first place?

And they are supposed to be the reality-based community?

  22. Mikey NTH says:

And you wonder why newspapers are failing. Here they have the opportunity to have these clowns pay them to print their press releases, but no; they give that away for free. Satisified with being cheap sluts when they could be high-priced courtesans – no wonder they are going broke.

  23. Pablo says:

And they are supposed to be the reality-based community?

    Community based reality, Mikey,
