Appears her aortic valve had started to harden. Naturally, this will lead to an outpouring of well-wishes from our softer-hearted counterparts.

Hope she recovers soon. Nice lady.
God be with her & family.
All the best to Barbara.
This is GH’s wife ? I absolutely will say a prayer. She was classy despite all of the negative press and parodies…
Wish her a speedy recovery…want her home soon so that none of those flood deserving New Orleanians will need to be her nurse maids.
Generally, I am a loving, and kind, but her words during Hurricane Katrina still bring me to tears. And, I live in Georgia
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. She is one great lady.
Okay, Juan. Ted Kennedy committed a negligent homicide, and he’s getting a knighthood. Do you know what? It’s the Queen’s to bestow, and I don’t give a rat’s ass whom she bestows it on. Maybe it’s one she’s taking away from that Stanford fellow.
She’s an old lady with a heart problem.
What did she say? I musta missed it.
I believe this is what Juan is recalling.
What? Is this G.B.’s mother?, hope she bites the bullet and that he follows sooner rather than later!!!
That’s a fucked up thing to write, really. Why would you?
Oh.
Well then, why did she need surgery if she is without a heart?
Or could there be an alternative intent behind the comment?
Perhaps she was saying it’s good those unfortunate enough to not get to Texas were at least fortunate enough not to be left to their own devices.
Anyway, I’m glad it didn’t make me cry. That would make me question my masculinity.
OHHHH, THAT’S the hope those Obama people keep going on about!
I’ve been wondering about that…
I hope she’s back baking cookies soon.

Ah, the Left… the Hate that gave us Stalin, Mao and Pot Pol on the macro stage, and small, sniping bumboils like MP on the micro. The political is always personal for them.
Generally, I am a loving, and kind [what? baboon? corn cob? trolley?], but her words during Hurricane Katrina still bring me to tears.
I wasn’t bothered by her words at the time: just a careless phrase from someone from the older generation who isn’t as hip to the PC demands as the younger set.
But now that I see that her words evoke tears of rage in a loving, kind something, I will definitely rethink my position.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU FOR OPENING MY EYES!
I just heard Anderson Cooper deliver the lede with his customary furrowed brow gravitas, “Barbara Bush is receiving a replacement heart valve, this could be from a cadaver, a cow or a pig …” And I’m thinking, “What? You left out baboon, boa constrictor, tasmanian devil and skunk.”

Your parents must be awfully proud. She’s an old woman staring death in the face, who never did a thing to you. You’re a fucking moral disaster. Coward.

Of course you do.
We expect nothing less from foul cretinous pustules such as yourself.
Now, go back to smearing your feces on the wall.

Tears? Man up, Juan.
I Hope she recovers well Dr. Reardon is one of the BEST Cardiac Doctors ever!
Surprisingly, bour3, I remember reading a National Geographic article back when I was in junior high that said pig heart valves were being used in human heart surgery.
I thought that was pretty cool.
