Wow. My band opened for those guys at a small college in Iowa once. It was either last week or a thousand years ago, I can’t remember for sure. We got along with them great, but scared the fucking shit out of their fans, all I really remember.
Nah, we mostly got compared to Neil Young and Crazy Horse or early Rolling Stones, but we just had a tendency to get really loud and over the top when we got fucked up, which was most of the time.
In the early 70’s Iggy could make you believe you were in a darkened room with a psychopath who was close to his breaking point. Gave an edge to the performance.
This is some stuff from a live radio broadcast we did in Holland in ’96. Tracks three and four were about as angry as we could muster in a brightly lit studio at two in the afternoon.
You can’t really tell it from that video, but their little drummer girl was hot as a damn match. We chased her around backstage like a bunch of fucking retards, lol.
I don’t know if this will help or not. I downloaded the yahoo IM and they have a conference option along with the ability to set up chat rooms.
Thanks, geoff, I’ll get a look at it.
This is fun:

More of the Democrat culture of corruption, starring …..John Murtha!
Let me know if I can help in any way. Testing or such. Like I said, you are in the beta stage on this thing.

Which wasn’t unusual at all for us, by the way.
B Moe,
Are you the Iggy Pop of your area?
Nah, we mostly got compared to Neil Young and Crazy Horse or early Rolling Stones, but we just had a tendency to get really loud and over the top when we got fucked up, which was most of the time.
Their fans must’ve not been used to staying awake during shows.
They are certainly mellifluous but..paint-dryingly boring.
Your group sounds like one I’d have gone to see.

Which has nothing to do with the post. I’ll listen to the song when I get home.
anger is an energy … if we’re doing that music thing

Location? Minneapolis? Although it almost looks like Seattle, pre King Dome.
Yeah, they’re from Minneapolis.
I knew they were from there. The roof top is Minneapolis, correct?
And B Moe, you guys are good. Some Dylan, some Young influence, but it is your own sound too.

What no Gear Daddies?
Everyone wants to do this…
I thought I was the only Trip Shakespeare fan left.
oh. I didn’t come back here yesterday. I will check out the Holland thing when I get home. And Joe’s.
