The Lions need to lose two more games to earn what Bush has already allotted to the unions automakers. Sorry, there’s only one more weekend of misery left for hapless Detroit, then they can brag about having the first choice in the draft.
My condolences to Lions fans. And these are coming from a Browns fan. That’s how bad it is for those poor souls. The two worst cities in the country and now the two worst pro football franchises.
The bailout of Wallstreet and the auto industry is wrong for many reasons but most importantly because the federal government is far more powerful than it was ever intended. As a condition for bailing out the auto industry the fed can now be a stockholder? Sounds like socialism.

I’m feeling nostalgic, Dan. How about we give them a billion dollars for each game the 1972 Dolphins lost?
One more lost game and the Lions will have had a perfect season. I think it will also set a record.
cranky, today’s loss set the record. Next week’s will extend it.

Is there enough tax money to cover that…
LT – Doesn’t matter. Baracky will just take what he needs from a winner. That is his way.
How about we give them Guam instead. No? Too strategically important? How about Puerto Rico? I, for one, would not miss it. Just a thought.
Nope. If we are giving anything away, it is Minnesota.
I live in MN, and despite this election crap, it’s pretty nice. However, if we need to give it away, let me move to North Texas first.
Please move to North Texas, cranky. When AlfuckingFranken steals that Senate seat, I am organizing a Consitutional Convention to give Minnesota away.

The Detroit Lions are in a quagmire. I propose an over-the-horizon redeployment to Okinawa.
…Yes, the joke is old, but so is the Lions’ dismal track record.
