The other (clown) shoe dropping?

As I noted in an earlier post today, the perception of media bias is growing. And as Texas Rainmaker points out, the times, they are about to be a-changin’.

— Or at least, appear as though they’re changing. I mean, you can pin a rose to a donkey turd, but that doesn’t make it any less a donkey turd.

Just makes it a donkey turd what calls the movies “cinema” and drinks tea with its pinky out.

I don’t care too much for David Gregory either; he definately extends his well turned pinky while imbibing english breakfast tea…

But he’s marginally better than Herr Olbermann and Chris Tingle…

Maybe Olby got taken down a couple of pegs…And, Chrissy..? Well, there goes the free media springboard for his coveted Pa. senate seat!

  2. easyliving1 says:

Olbermann makes $4 million a year from MSNBC.

Sometimes, I think the joke’s on me.

  3. The Lost Dog says:

OLBERMAN MAKES $4 MILLION A YEAR?????

For what? Being a flaming asshole? No wonder he thinks his turds don’t stink!

He’s worth about $120 a day, as far as I can see.

Seems there may be a good reason to fire the “odd couple”.

Ed and Mitch at Hot Air interviewed Doug, a volunteer driver who worked for the Republican National Convention Committee in St. Paul. The summary …

According to Doug, MS-NBC apparently took no chances on questions from the crowd. Rather than get caught with a question that might make Republicans look good, their producer pre-screened questioners, and Chris Matthews pretended it was random.
    — Republicans were good tippers. MS-NBC stiffed the drivers.
    — Media people talked in the cars about how effective the Republican convention turned out to be, while publicly saying something else entirely.

I got a kick out of the Times last line: “Just last year, Mr. Olbermann signed a four-year, $4-million-a-year contract with MSNBC. NBC is close to supplementing that contract with Mr. Olbermann, extending his deal through 2013 — and ensuring that he will be on MSNBC through the next election.” [my emph.]

    Threats now, that’s all they’ve got. Booga-boooga!

  6. Dan Collins says:

Oh, yeah. Perception is everything, right?

  7. Dread Cthulhu says:

    This just in at WaPa:

“MSNBC is removing Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews as the anchors of live political events, bowing to growing criticism that they are too opinionated to be seen as neutral in the heat of the presidential campaign.

David Gregory, the NBC newsman and White House correspondent who also hosts a program on MSNBC, will take over during such events as this fall’s presidential and vice presidential debates and election night.”

  8. Education Guy says:

Good news. You can tell that David Gregory is a serious newsman by how well he fills in for Matt Lauer.

  9. Kirk says:

I have not been this excited about regime change since Raul took over for Fidel.

Um. Who is James Wolcott, Alex?

  11. When the vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin lamented media bias during her speech, attendees of the Republican convention loudly chanted “NBC.”

Ah! And all this time I thought they were chanting “MVP!” Which may make as much sense, once this race is over.

“…Sarah Palin lamented media bias during her speech…”

Actually an interesting false meme, worth its weight in political gold to Obama, worth establishing in order to link Palin to Hillary’s whining. Who will help him accomplish his aim?
