  1. Jeff G. says:

Geraldine Ferraro’s footnote now wearing orthopedic shoes?

    /alternate post title.

  2. happyfeet says:

Gosh you’re cynical. She just happens to be a woman I think. She looks like a nice person what would have great recipes.

  3. Salt Lick says:

How long until a Kos kid calls Palin a “cunt worse than Hillary?” I laugh. I laugh.

  4. Mr. Pink says:

You shouldn’t be laughing Salt Lick that WILL be the case before Monday.

  5. quellcrist falconer says:

lol palin wont deliver the dry pussy brigade.
they are gonna hate her just as much as the secretaries hate me at work.

  6. happyfeet says:

Palin doesn’t have to deliver anything though. She just has to communicate McCain’s message of Hope and Change. Oh and the part about drilling. That right there will bring in a bunch of votes just for the off-chance McCain maybe pays obeisance to the actuarial tables.

  7. Sdferr says:

Her husband appears to be a mensch. Cage match with Michelle anyone?

  8. Obstreperous Infidel says:

Gotta agree with nishi on this one. It seems calcualted, as Jeff implies, and it won’t work, imo. He should have went with Gloria Steinem to get the old bints.

  9. quellcrist falconer says:

lol palin is breeder is a breederbot
she wants to force all us grrls to bear and nuture genetic anomalies
    lol

  10. quellcrist falconer says:

  11. geoffb says:

So ANWR is back on the table.

I love the smell of oil in the morning, smells like victory.

  12. Carin says:

    I love the pick.

  13. happyfeet says:

Works way better than Huckabee or Romney would have. Plus it takes some of the focus off Cindy, who is one of those you only take in small doses.

  14. Carin says:

Of course it’s calculated. I’m just glad McCain is playing hardball.

  15. Obstreperous Infidel says:

However, at comment #9 nishi again begins her descent into her own bizarro world.

  16. Carin says:

    shut up nishi.

  17. BJTexs says:

So now I can assume that the genius writer from Salon will have an article out today pointing out that if McCain/Palin loses the election, we’ll have to blame sexism. Right? Right?

    **crickets**

Hello? Tap! Tap! Is this thing on?

  18. Carin says:

    It’s a short trip, OI.

  19. happyfeet says:

You’re right, Carin. It’s a good year to eschew organicity in VP selection. Lindsey understands, and this way he can have more gay sex without worrying so much people are watching.

  20. happyfeet says:

Also what’s up with David Duchovny? He must be one of them liberals.

  21. poppa india says:

Nishi, everybody hates you at work.

  22. quellcrist falconer says:

palin has to be visable this year….that cute little mongoloid baby wont be so adorable for photo opps in 4 years

  23. Carin says:

I think Palin will bring votes. My moderate cousin, who was leaning toward McCain? I think this sort of choice will bring her over.

  24. Jeff G. says:

Is being Alaskan close to being black? I mean, does this chick eat whale blubber and speak Inuit? Or at the very least, lilt in speech like Ed or Margaret from Northern Exposure?

  25. Carin says:

nishi, I’m gonna change my “shut up” to “fuck off.”

You really are a horrible person.

  26. quellcrist falconer says:

    pro-family, pro-life, young and cute……and anti-abortion

dur, a lot of wimmyns are gonna loathe her with fire of a thousand suns

  27. quellcrist falconer says:

    yah, i am ;)

    i glory in it

  28. Jeff G. says:

I love Duchovny, but he’s a Yale English major. So if there’s anything to Bloom’s Anxiety of Influence, David almost HAD to become a cynical ironist / sex-addicted lefty.

But we can hold out hope. For growth. And Rapture.

    I WANT TO BELIEVE!

  29. happyfeet says:

It’s close to being Canadian more I think. But Western Canadian. Like Albertan.

  30. Doug Stewart says:

Confirmed, ‘twould seem, though of course CNN can’t wait to drop the ostensible “Trooper-gate” smear, thudding it out there in Paragraph 5, then spending around 1/4 of the article on it.

Don’t recall any such smear-mongering about MBNA, cancer lawsuits and Biden’s son when they announced him as O!’s nom nom nominee, but you know, bias and all that…

  31. happyfeet says:

Oh. I meant about checking himself into a clinic for sex addiction.

  32. Jeff G. says:

    As did I.

  33. Sdferr says:

Yu’pik Eskimo would be like the antipode to !Kung San.

  34. Puck says:

It’s a *great* pick. Livens up the conservative base without scaring off the evangelicals (like Romney would have done). Puts some of the women for Hillary in play. Gives McCain a way to say, “Let’s drill in ANWR” — and not look like a total flip-flopper but a guy who got taught a thing or two by the nice lady who’s actually from Alaska, been to ANWR, and knows it’s a dump that won’t be badly affected by a couple of well-placed drills. And yes, the moose will be okay.

But more fundamentally, it says that McCain is willing to listen to somebody who differs from him on some issues. She’s a credible, proven tax-cutter and has taken on “big oil”, which will play well among many. She’s worked and raised a family and is more of a “normal” person than Obama or Biden (thus also better than Romney). And really, she’s got no less actual foreign policy experience than Romney or Jindal, whom many people wanted to see on the other half of the ticket.

This was a terrifically happy surprise. For the first time, I’m enthusiastic about supporting McCain.

  35. happyfeet says:

    Got it.

  36. thor says:

    Palin’s a empty-tampon! What a maroon!

  37. Jeff G. says:

McCain probably just floated this to maverick us all. I need official confirmation.

  38. Jeff G. says:

    thor —

Are you now content simply to play knee-jerk Kos Kiddie? There are other ways to get attention, you know. See, eg., that famous photo of Buddhist monks and flames, and think, wow — youtube…!

  39. Carin says:

thor, you still have jiz on your chin.

  40. Clint says:

    #37

    Well that didn’t take long.

  41. psycho... says:

I’m amazed he made the almost-least-worst choice — Olympian judgment, by McCain standards. And his looking past her apparent incorruptibility (though probably only far enough to see her vag) is plain freakish.

    ROVE!

lol palin wont deliver the dry pussy brigade.

He only needs two or three points of them, in less than a handful of states. Any woman gets him that many overall, and the type she is gets him the right ones (unless she suddenly gets way sexier — or crush-on-Palin dudes take her place in the media (which is how I’d do it if I were working for the other guy, which they are)).

He’ll almost certainly blow it some other way, but this time, one time — not retarded.

  42. Curmudgeon says:

    “pro-family, pro-life, young and cute……and anti-abortion

dur, a lot of wimmyns are gonna loathe her with fire of a thousand suns”

S/he’s right. The Lesbian Commiecrats will only hate her more….that said, she’s a great choice. Someone who will take one the eco-fiends and the global warming frauds.

Identity tokenism? As long as she is not a RINO / sell-out, all the better. (cf. Clarence Thomas). Watch the lib media smears come on hard from the Commiecrat moles.

  43. Carin says:

    It’s all he’s got Jeff.

  44. BJTexs says:

    The thor insight. IT BUUUUUUURNS!!!!

Someday thor’s going to look back on his contributions to this blog and blush with embarrassment.

  45. quellcrist falconer says:

look it is a dumb choice
palin wont deliver the dry pussy brigade and she will turn off the prochoice wimmyns in droves.
she cant run in 4 years cuz the adorable little mongoloid baby will be obviously Downs in 4 years
    very bad for photo opps.

  46. Sdferr says:

Look back? What? Oh, you’re joking again, right BJTexs?

  47. Sdferr says:

She’ll just have one of her teenage daughters hold onto the baby’s hand, nishi. Not bad for photo opps.

  48. Clint says:

Are we actually engaging nishi? We all know where that ends up.

  49. Roland THTG says:

It avoids the Mormon thing, and the “Two White Guys” thing.
Lieberman would have sunk the battleship. Ridge is pro choice.
The experience argument is a bit touchy for The Obama.
Could attract some wymin, er womyn….whatever.
Colon Bowel wouldn’t have accepted anyway. He’s a lib underneath.
Jindal would have only been a token.
    Phred! was busy that day.

That’s pretty far down the list with no check marks.

  50. Pablo says:

The lady has outstanding reform credentials. This is a solid pick and Maverick’s introduction speech is going to be boffo.

  51. Carin says:

NOTHING would have brought the pro-choice (one issue) women voters. That is an idiotic criticism of a Republican VP choice. Idiotic.

In addition, I have no idea who the dry pussy brigade is. I think it’s a figment of nishi’s imagination.

  52. Jeff G. says:

Howsabout the Catholic womens. Any of them about these days?

I hear some may be hiding in El Caminos.

  53. Dave in SoCal says:

Nishit, your mental illness burns with the fire of a thousand suns.

    Seek. Medical. Attention. Now.

  54. thor says:

McCain is 74 years young and he goes and picks the loopey night manager of a bait and tackle shop as his Veep?

    Pinch me.

  55. quellcrist falconer says:

think how palin as a choice will guilt and humiliate women that have actually made the choice to terminate a genetic anomaly.
they will hate her…..she is flaunting it.
many women will see this as a crude attempt at manipulation……which it is.
    lol

  56. quellcrist falconer says:

    baby downs are adorable.
    older not so much.

  57. Carin says:

oh SHIT. We lost thors vote. How will McCain ever win now?

  58. Jeffersonian says:

    “pro-family, pro-life, young and cute……and anti-abortion

dur, a lot of wimmyns are gonna loathe her with fire of a thousand suns”

That’s not a bug, it’s a feature. How delicious will it be to see the hags from NOW out screeching against the first woman with a credible chance at being Vice President and, if the prognosticators are right, President in four years? It will expose, for anyone with a shred of doubt left, that the “womyn’s movement” is just another group thumping the tub for the left-wing agenda, this group with a little FDS spritzed over it.

I expected it would be Palin, and I’m delighted it is. Smart choice.

  59. quellcrist falconer says:

jindal is an exorcist and charismatic catholic (read faithhealer) that advocates chemical castration for sexoffenders.
if that isnt eugenics by u guyz definition, i dont know what is.

  60. Carin says:

thor and nishi are against Palin. Sounds like as good an endorsement as we could get!

  61. Clint says:

Maybe if he promised two chickens in thor’s pot?

  62. quellcrist falconer says:

    get a clue jeffers
palin is not electable in 4 years
if ancient cartoon cartoon character kicks in office, do u think palin can run the country?
    it is to laff

  63. quellcrist falconer says:

palin is likely the best of mccains choice set.
not that that is sayin much

  64. Mr. Pink says:

“think how palin as a choice will guilt and humiliate women that have actually made the choice to terminate a genetic anomaly.”

Too bad your mother didn’t make that decision.

  65. Puck says:

You know, the more vile the attacks upon Palin, the angrier normal women are going to get at the militants.

  66. quellcrist falconer says:

lol…i think we will see a kind of bradly effect on palin pollin
women will say they will vote for her……..sisterhood an all that……but really they wont.
the catty factor lets call it ;)

  67. Clint says:

nishi’s hatin’ on the wimmin. But she stands in line for the half-black dude. Maybe the democrats really are more sexist than racist. Well, I’m sure O! will get to fixing that in say…. his second term as president.

  68. Curmudgeon says:

“palin is likely the best of mccains choice set.
not that that is sayin much”

S/he’s finally running out of steam….seriously, quit while you’re behind, troll.

    thor –

Are you now content simply to play knee-jerk Kos Kiddie? There are other ways to get attention, you know. See, eg., that famous photo of Buddhist monks and flames, and think, wow — youtube…!

What, I ask you, makes this four-eyed backwater bimbo qualified to be President if McCain suddenly acts his age and dies?

You put Palin on your list to doll it up, you don’t pick her fer Chrissakes.

Maybe McCain was after the Annie Oakley vote.

  70. quellcrist falconer says:

    lol!
by “normal wimmen” do u mean the pithed breederbots that comprise the female part of the evangelical vote?
    hahahahaha

  71. Dave in SoCal says:

Jeez, Jeff… why do you let thor and nishi continue to comment here? I mean, sure it’s entertaining at first to watch them sh*t all over themselves with stupid grins on their faces, but after a while it’s just pathetic.

  72. Jeffersonian says:

In four years, nishi, Palin will have another quadrenniel of executive experience to add to her resume, this time in the White House. She’ll also have experience as President of the Senate that O! and Senator MBNA will be sent back to.

The gnashing of teeth and the rending of flannel at NOW will make me so, so happy.

  73. Pablo says:

if ancient cartoon cartoon character kicks in office, do u think palin can run the country?
    it is to laff

And u think O! can run the country? Your hatred warms me, quellx. Tell me more and watch me grin.

    CHANGE!!

  74. Pablo says:

by “normal wimmen” do u mean the pithed breederbots that comprise the female part of the evangelical vote?

Oh, I so hope that Joey Hairplugs calls her that.

  75. quellcrist falconer says:

lol i guess i am a genetic anolmaly….. i have at least 2std in IQ on the rest of u “extra-chromosome jeebustards”
[props to the immortal Iowahawk for that appellation]

lol!!!!! Baby Palin really has an extra chromosome!!!
    trisomy 21

  76. Pablo says:

What, I ask you, makes this four-eyed backwater bimbo qualified to be President if McCain suddenly acts his age and dies?

More experience and more principles than O! has, that’s what.

  77. Roland THTG says:

I think thor and nish have thing going on.
    Ain’t love grand!?

  78. Jeffersonian says:

Oh, I so hope that Joey Hairplugs calls her that.

    I prefer the Imus-inspired “Senator Chia-Pet,” myself.

And yes, isn’t the latent misogyny revealing?

  79. Carin says:

Honestly, thor and nishi are bring absolutely NOTHING to this thread. thor’s criticism is basically 1)she wears glasses and she’s 2) a bimbo from Alaska.

Nishi’s additions are that her daughter is a “damaged goods” and that Palin is a breeder.

IS there anything else you two have to contribute?

  80. quellcrist falconer says:

    hahahaha
maybe Jindal can cure Baby Palin with some layin on of hands!!!!!!!!
    lollolollll!

  81. quellcrist falconer says:

Carin, dimbo sweetie, Palin is a choice based on identity politics as Jeff says.
    that sword cuts both ways.

  82. Pablo says:

    Plus, she can ball. Ha!

  83. Salt Lick says:

Honestly, thor and nishi are bring absolutely NOTHING to this thread.

    Smell like fear to me.

  84. quellcrist falconer says:

im just splainin to the IQ challenged here why it isnt going to deliver the dry pussy brigade.

  85. BJTexs says:

What, I ask you, makes this four-eyed backwater bimbo qualified to be President if McCain suddenly acts his age and dies?

how about the fact that she’s three years younger than !O! and still has more fucking executive experience in both the real world and in government.

Is that enough, genius, or do we have to talk about her national governor’s board charmanships or that fact that she won several elections in one of the most male centric states in the union, the last one beating two fucking former governors from both parties. or ethics reform in Ted fucking Steven’s state or her environmental and energy creds or …

You are so far in the tank for The One that flounders are swimming above you.

  86. PC says:

    YAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I’m thrilled. I wasn’t even going to vote this year….but now….

  87. Mr. Pink says:

“What, I ask you, makes this four-eyed backwater bimbo qualified to be President if McCain suddenly acts his age and dies?”

    What makes Obama qualified?

  88. thor says:

    Comment by Carin on 8/29 @ 9:49 am #

Nishi’s additions are that her daughter is a “damaged goods” and that Palin is a breeder.

IS there anything else you two have to contribute?

I’ve a box of Kleenex to bring to this thread.

Dot your chin. You’ve got something dripping.

  89. Pablo says:

Your vote isn’t needed, nishi. Why don’t you go shopping while the adults discuss Presidential politics?

  90. Carin says:

Which makes it rather curious that you are so critical of it. Did you know O! was black?

But, not being Jeff, I don’t completely agree with him. Was she chosen ONLY because she was a woman? IMHO, it was a feature, not a bug.

  91. JD says:

    Fuck off, nishit.

This pick is politically … exquisite.

  92. Mr. Pink says:

Thor if you want to add something to this thread just call someone racist. It is what you end up doing anyway why wait until we hit comment 100 for a CHANGE?

  93. Pablo says:

Dot your chin. You’ve got something dripping.

If you’d quit spraying spittle, you wouldn’t need to pass out Kleenex. Again, what makes Obama qualified?

  94. Jeffersonian says:

    What makes Obama qualified?

It’s obvious – he doesn’t wear glasses. And he has a dick.

  95. Great Banana says:

    Thor,

What, I ask you, makes this four-eyed backwater bimbo qualified to be President if McCain suddenly acts his age and dies?

That’s funny – she is running for Vice President with more actual experience than your party’s nominee for President. And you have the gall to bring up experience. What a joke.

The funniest thing is that the more you imbeciles attack her qualifications for veep, the more the rest of america realizes that O! is not qualified for the main job.

As to nishi – his comments really solidify what is so disgusting about the left. No thought, not logic, no arguments, just hate and anger spewing at all times, wrapped up in H.S. freshman writing style and prose.

  96. Old Texas Turkey says:

Contrarianism perks up its ears. If the nishi-mongrel is so unnerved, it must be a good thing.

Thor you’re up at the gory hole. Don’t piss off the clientele by making them wait.

  97. Carin says:

im just splainin to the IQ challenged here why it isnt going to deliver the dry pussy brigade

My IQ is 130. Not genius, but I’m not ashamed of it.

And, please. Could you give me a definition of the dry pussy brigade?

  98. Puck says:

This thread has become too vile to be readable.

  99. thor says:

    Meet President Obama, party people.

  100. Pablo says:

But, not being Jeff, I don’t completely agree with him. Was she chosen ONLY because she was a woman? IMHO, it was a feature, not a bug.

It was certainly a factor, but not the only one. She’s a demonstrated fiscal conservative with a track record of cleaning up corruption in her own party. She is a…ahem…maverick.

  101. BJTexs says:

Oh and nishi? My cousin was pregnant with twins, one of whom was diagnosed with Downs. She had both daughters. Maggie is now 10 and she steals the heart of everyone she meets.

So please kindly take your cold, evolutionary superman eugenics heart and fuck off.

  102. McGehee says:

Last I saw, it still remained to be seen whether the lite-gubnor up there, Sean Parnell, will be running for Congress. Presumably that will be settled by the end of the GOP convention.

I still think she’s not seasoned enough to justify this — it is exactly as Jeff says, identity politics in action, and extremely disappointing to see in a GOP presidential ticket.

Then again, with McCain what can we expect?

  103. Mastiff says:

i have at least 2std in IQ on the rest of u “extra-chromosome jeebustards”

I really shouldn’t, but I can’t resist. I happen to be extremely smart, I suspect smarter than you. And I’ve known a lot of other extremely smart people. As a class, we seem to divide into two cohorts:

    1. Those who use their talents to accomplish magnificent things.
    2. Those who get so used to skating through life that they never learn how to do real work, and are reduced to feeling superior to others on the basis of their wasted talent, lacking any real achievements to point to.

I think we all know where you stand, Nishi. If you even are that smart to begin with, which, given your grammar, I doubt.

  104. NukemHill says:

What, I ask you, makes this four-eyed backwater bimbo qualified to be President if McCain suddenly acts his age and dies?

Yet, by some odd confluence of the stars, Obama’s qualified to be President?

    You truly are a fucktard.

  105. Jeff G. says:

I don’t think she was chosen solely because she’s a woman. She was chosen because she’s a woman with more experience than the candidate the Dems are running for President.

The “dry pussy brigade” is going to be steamed by that, is my guess. They’ll see her and think, that could have been Hillary. And suddenly “Bros before Hos” will meet the catty vindictiveness of the “womyns” voter bloc.

Is how I guess the selection calculus went.

  106. Curmudgeon says:

“im just splainin to the IQ challenged here why it isnt going to deliver the dry pussy brigade.”

They don’t need to be delivered. They just need to stay home and cry over Hillary. That will work well enough. This is about energizing the base annoyed by McCain’s RINO selling out.

  107. Percy Dovetonsils says:

But guys – does she have any experience as a community organizer???

  108. thor says:

A Maverick! And she’s nursing too!

This is that “we’re fucked” moment that you’ve been waiting for.

  109. NukemHill says:

Oh and nishi? My cousin was pregnant with twins, one of whom was diagnosed with Downs. She had both daughters. Maggie is now 10 and she steals the heart of everyone she meets.

So please kindly take your cold, evolutionary superman eugenics heart and fuck off.

I posted on Vodkapundit that the Left was going to start hammering Palin for having Trig, for playing risky at an older age for having children. I thought it would be Olbermann playing the card. I guess Nishi couldn’t wait.

  110. Obstreperous Infidel says:

Well, tweedle dumbass and tweedle more of a dumbass sure are acting their parts in this thread, aren’t they? That’s it? That’s the extent of their trolling?

Somebody mentioned that all it will take is a few percentage points of the wymyns out there that they might not have gotten before to win this thing, and that’s a good point. So, the whole of the crazy feminist bint brigade isn’t needed at all, anyhow. Maybe a shrewd move.

  111. McGehee says:

Some of the comments here reflect what I expected people in Alaska to think of this:

SO MUCH FOR HER COMMITMENT TO ALASKA

Palin is a great Governor, don’t get me wrong. But if it wasn’t for Obama or Clinton being on the Democratic Presidential ticket, McCain would of picked a white old man. Palin is being used and we will suffer for it.

And I thought she was doing so well. What a waste.

Alaska hasn’t had a really good, really popular governor in decades.

  112. Mr. Pink says:

Yeah your not experienced until you have done some community organizing. Oh I forgot or if you lived in Indonesia.

  113. McGehee says:

She was chosen because she’s a woman with more experience than the candidate the Dems are running for President.

Obama has been running for president longer than Palin has been governor.

  114. Ric Locke says:

#109: No, thor, this is the “you’re fucked” moment we’ve been anxiously waiting for.

The dry pussy brigade will split three ways:

    1) Obama! He has the sacred “D” by his name!
    2) Hey, Palin actually has a pussy.
    3) Oh, Hell, Hildegarde, let’s just go walk in the park and cry.

    Regards,
    Ric

  115. BJTexs says:

Let’s just be clear about the message that nishi is proclaiming here.

I should look at my little cousin, 10 year old Maggie, and see a hideous freak of a mutation that never should have been born and would be, were she my daughter and I was running for office, so offensive and off putting as to cause me to lose votes from asshole fascists who think “mistakes” should be “eliminated.”

Yup, I’m pissed and, again, fuck off, nishi. You are as despicable a person as I have ever read on a blog.

  116. phreshone says:

im just splainin to the IQ challenged here why it isnt going to deliver the dry pussy brigade

You might be right, if Barry hadn’t just spent a week trying to give them a Cincinnati Steamer…

  117. quellcrist falconer says:

truly naive of team mccain to think palin will deliver the womyn vote.
    hes already got the godbots.
    most women will resent palin.
only evangelical wimmens will approve palin as a choice and mccain already had them.

They’ll see her and think, that could have been Hillary. And suddenly “Bros before Hos” will meet the catty vindictiveness of the “womyns” voter bloc.

dont think so, Jeff….they are going to resent both Palin and mccains crude attempt to manipulate them.
u underestimate the bitchiness factor of the XX by a lot

  118. BJTexs says:

Yup, that hit a nerve with me. You’d have to spend time with Maggie to understand. I apologize for losing my temper.

    Nishi’s still despicable.

  119. Obstreperous Infidel says:

“Yup, I’m pissed and, again, fuck off, nishi. You are as despicable a person as I have ever read on a blog.”

Don’t feed it, BJ. I know you’re pissed and you have a right to be, but that’s the little thing’s intent. Nishi needs big government and she needs it badly. She’s a griefer that one day is going to pick the wrong target to grief. A target that may not be influenced by outmoded and outdated judeo-christian ethics. It’ll be a shame. An irony, but a shame.

  120. Jeffersonian says:

I should look at my little cousin, 10 year old Maggie, and see a hideous freak of a mutation that never should have been born and would be, were she my daughter and I was running for office, so offensive and off putting as to cause me to lose votes from asshole fascists who think “mistakes” should be “eliminated.”

I’m sure Nishi can come up with a suitable function for your cousin, BJ, to make her acceptable. Given her bent, maybe a medical experiment to make her eyes blue, for example.

  121. quellcrist falconer says:

    not at all BJTex
women, especially prochoice women are going to be deeply (and maybe secretly) resentful of Palin being flaunted as someone that choose to bear a Downs Syndrome baby.
and…isnt it kind of ugly for that to be used as political capital?
abortion is an intensely personal choice.
many women will see Palin as a rebuke and resent her deeply.

  122. Dave in SoCal says:

This is that “we’re f*cked” moment that you’ve been waiting for.

Actually, this is the “Obama’s f*cked” moment that I’ve been waiting patiently for.

  123. JD says:

Don’t apologize to that fuckwad nishit. It deserved much worse. If you apologize, I will be forced to denounce you.

  124. thor says:

    Comment by NukemHill on 8/29 @ 10:03 am #

Yet, by some odd confluence of the stars, Obama’s qualified to be President?

    You truly are a fucktard.

Awe look who is caterwauling like a decaying bitterly clinging creep.

Your mommy should’a scrubbed that filthy mouth-hole of yours.

  125. Carin says:

I’m gonna type slowly, so that geniuses with no common sense can understand.

The pro-choice, single issue voter would NEVER vote for a Republican. You can’t gain what you never had a chance of winning, or lose what you never had.

But, there were unhappy Hill voters who were leaning toward McCain. I’m related to a few of them. They WILL vote for him now. Bet on it.

  126. McGehee says:

Then again, if the nishtoon is disparaging this pick, maybe it IS a good one.

  127. Rob Crawford says:

Once more, Nishi, stop trying to use your claimed (and never demonstrated) intelligence as an argument in itself; you’re not the smartest person around here.

As for Palin; I need to look at her record before I decide.

  128. thor says:

    What record?

  129. quellcrist falconer says:

i can storyboard an anti-Palin commercial already……Women of America…..John Mccain wants your vote.
that is why he has chosen Sarah Palin, inexeperienced mother of a Downs baby to be the next president of the United States.
all you have to do is surrender the autonomy of your personal body to the party of the theocons…..who btw are judging you for the moral depravity you have exhibited by supporting a womens right to choose.

  130. Carin says:

abortion is an intensely personal choice.
many women will see Palin as a rebuke and resent her deeply.

Bullshit. If they see it as an intensely personal choice, why wouldn’t they grant her the credit of HER choice? I thought that was what they were all about? If they can’t/don’t, then I don’t give a shit who they vote for. People who think like that should be marginalized.

  131. Pablo says:

    What record?

Google it, ya lazy, greedy flophouse rat.

  132. Pablo says:

I can’t wait for the Obama ad that attacks Palin for inexperience. Great idea, quellx!

  133. Percy Dovetonsils says:

“SO MUCH FOR HER COMMITMENT TO ALASKA”

It’s more than O!’s commitment to the Illinois senatorial seat, so I don’t believe that’s anything the other side should push.

Now, the lack of community organizing experience? THAT’S the killer.

  134. quellcrist falconer says:

the other reason a lot of women wont vote for Palin is that she is young, cute and successful.
the average hilary voter is a middleaged, middle-to-lower-middleclass white woman, in hilary’s own age group.

  135. Jeff G. says:

Nishi would vote McCain had he named a Dr Moreau as Veep candidate.

Vivisection. I see real possibilities there.

  136. Ric Locke says:

Beldar will be ecstatic, as soon as he catches up.

Hey, thor, Palin actually has a record, and she doesn’t have every “community organizer” in Chicago trying to cover it up, either.

    Regards,
    Ric

  137. McGehee says:

If they see it as an intensely personal choice, why wouldn’t they grant her the credit of HER choice?

Sane women will certainly give her high marks for it — but nishtoon doesn’t look to the sane for guidance.

  138. thor says:

A former PTA co-President, mmmm, I stand corrected.

She’s birthed more welfare babies than most Southside black women folks too!

She makes McCain look taller when she stands next to him. That’s important for aesthetic imagery.

  139. quellcrist falconer says:

If they see it as an intensely personal choice, why wouldn’t they grant her the credit of HER choice?

because the choice of palin is a crude attempt at harvestin women voters.
like jeff says, it is simple identity polictics.
but most women wont vote palin just becuase she has a uterus.
    sry.

  140. Rob Crawford says:

How long until someone in the press goes after her church?

(I’m buying my new car. Not the color I wanted, but I’ll have it in time for my vacation driving.)

  141. McGehee says:

@ #134: True, but it does cut into her popularity at home, which to me at least was one huge mark in her favor for an eventual national future (emphasis on eventual).

  142. quellcrist falconer says:

lol Jeff, u know i speak truth.
the only big block of women that will vote Palin are the block mccain already has.

  143. Pablo says:

the other reason a lot of women wont vote for Palin is that she is young, cute and successful.

Yeah, what woman would want someone like that for their daughters to look up to? Ha!

  144. quellcrist falconer says:

mmcain is throwin her under the bus
    she is not prepared.
a sacrifice on the alter of age and gender.

  145. thor says:

I’ve got a king crab leg says Obama wins Alaska.

    She’s that weak.

  146. Pablo says:

Let’s make that $1000.00 and you’re on, thor.

  147. happyfeet says:

She was a good choice I think especially in the way it signals these are the *kind* of appointments we might be able to expect from McCain. Baracky will appoint a bunch of union/trial lawyer hacks is what his pick says. McCain thinks out of the box more. This is really heartening.

  148. quellcrist falconer says:

mccain is sacrifining palin to balance his ticket.
pure narcissism, the same thing that drives him to seek the presidency when a younger man would have served both his country and his party better.
    pure ego.

  149. Pablo says:

    pure ego.

BwaaaaaaaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Tell us another one, O!-bot.

  150. happyfeet says:

Sometimes you have binary choices like hey let’s kill the Down syndrome baby or hey let’s not kill the Down syndrome baby. Mostly these things are coin-flippers and I wouldn’t read too much into it.

  151. Carin says:

because the choice of palin is a crude attempt at harvestin women voters.
like jeff says, it is simple identity polictics.

    Paraphrasing Jeff, are you?

  152. Pablo says:

You know who’s wringing his hands right now? The guy who just got all the convention wind sucked out of his sails, that’s who.

    Nothing against Palin, but…?????????

  155. Roland THTG says:

You know who’s wringing his hands right now? The guy who just got all the convention wind sucked out of his sails, that’s who.
True, dat. If nothing else, this is a huge media bomb.

  156. Rob Crawford says:

Dealership has a radio on, playing Palin rally. Sounds like McCain/Palin has 3 kids in military between them.

  157. Pablo says:

Yeah, Palin has a young enlisted son who’s headed for Iraq. But Joe Biden has a son headed there too!

    Palin: 18 million cracks. Heh.

  158. Clint says:

The hate oozing from the pores of this thread, it burns my monitor (and I just got a sweet widescreen, so cut it out!).

But the party of tolerance, not their fault if McCain is evil and he picks an evil woman as his partner in this little race (does this mean we can cut the BushMcCain cord and get to the real hatin’?).

  159. kelly says:

Maverick, you magnificent bastard! Almost makes me want to cast my vote for you…sober.

  160. Roland THTG says:

Barry O’Bama be sayin, “Wait, I want to talk about ……change.”

    “Dammit!”

  161. Pablo says:

OK, so Joey Hairplugs’ kid is the Attorney General of Delaware, and he’s going to Iraq in his capacity as a JAG. But still, it’s IRAQ!!!

Oh, and don’t forget to vote Obama because we shouldn’t even be there.

  162. ThomasD says:

I posted on Vodkapundit that the Left was going to start hammering Palin for having Trig, for playing risky at an older age for having children.

That’ll go over real well with all those women who’ve delayed childbirth into their later years, and also everyone who is currently caring for a person with Down’s Syndrome.

Yes, a veritable twofer of abject stupidity. But that doesn’t mean they won’t try though, they’ll just use the B team to bring the nasty.

  163. Percy Dovetonsils says:

And just how have we gotten this far into the thread without the acronym “MILF” being bandied about?

    Man, we are losing it.

  164. kelly says:

I hope this gal is verbally adroit. Makes me look forward to her debated with the grinning, hair-implanted skull from Delaware.

  165. Pablo says:

Hey, where’d thor go? How about that wager, little buddy?

  166. kelly says:

    VPMILF!~!

  167. Pablo says:

Percy, I was thinking VPILF, but thought better of it. Until now.

  168. Percy Dovetonsils says:

    Or is the term “VPILF”?

  169. Trimegistus says:

Why on earth is nishi/quellcrist/huge flaming asshole idiot allowed to post here? Ban the moron! It’s not like her stunning insights make us rethink our conservative principles — she just makes me want to go out and take an axehandle to the first person in tie-die I come across.

  170. The Lost Dog says:

    I must denounce myself pre-emptorially(?).

“thor, you still have jiz on your chin.”

That would be “darkie jizz”. thor needs you to make that distinction, because it proves that he is not a racist…

  171. Salt Lick says:

I’d have preferred Kay Bailey Hutchison, but watching Palin’s acceptance speech, I can see how she’s an inspired choice. She’s got so much over OBAMA, much less Biden, and she’s going to appeal to lots of young women. She’s going to fire up the conservative base like crazy. Limbaugh is going nuts with praise for McCain’s pick.

  172. Carin says:

And, Palin’s son is a member of the infantry. God loves the infantry.

  173. Percy Dovetonsils says:

I take back what I said – you guys are fast. You lovable perverted scamps, you.

  174. Spies, Brigands, and Pirates says:

I’ve got a king crab leg says Obama wins Alaska.

    She’s that weak.

She has an 80% approval rating.

Barry better hope that his old “community organizer” office is still available. Snicker.

  175. Dave in SoCal says:

Barry O’Bama be sayin, “Wait, I want to talk about ……change.”

I’m reminded of Alec Baldwin at the end of the Team America movie, trying to recapture the audience’s attention with his stammering “The, the, …global warming and… corporate America and…”

  176. Roland THTG says:

Thor: So, what do ya think?
    Crab Leg:
    THor: Yeah, me too!
    Crab Leg:

  177. Spies, Brigands, and Pirates says:

BTW, Alaska hasn’t voted Democratic in a presidential election since Lyndon Johnson.

  178. Roland THTG says:

    You gonna eat that?

  179. Carin says:

checking out what Pandagon has to say:

  180. Old Texas Turkey says:

    not at all BJTex
women, especially prochoice women are going to be deeply (and maybe secretly) resentful of Palin being flaunted as someone that choose to bear a Downs Syndrome baby.

Bullshit Nishi! You made the despicable statement that Palin couldn’t wouldn’t run for office in later years because of “photogenic issues” surrounding a downs kid. As a Dad of a child with genetic syndrome, I denounce and condemn you. You are a worthless, despicable, horrible, piece of trash.

  181. Obstreperous Infidel says:

Ummmmmm….crab legs. That’s it. A crab leg on every plate! They got my vote.

  182. Obstreperous Infidel says:

Carin…you went into the belly of the beast to report back? Bless you.

  183. happyfeet says:

I think she’s a lot different than Cheney. Really sort of a striking contrast between Bush’s approach and McCain’s approach. They’re so different, how they make decisions and stuff. I really hadn’t appreciated how different til now.

  184. happyfeet says:

And I bet her closet isn’t all pantsuit pantsuit pantsuit. She’s the real deal it seems.

  185. Pablo says:

Carin, have you ever noticed how Mandy hates women just as much as she hates men?

  186. Carin says:

Mandy hates women just as much as nishi does.

  187. JD says:

She is an inauthentic womyn. An Aunt Tom.

  188. PC says:

I’m a woman and I’ve now decided to vote for Palin. Cuz she’s got a uterus. And kids.

Call me an idiot, but this is what I needed. I don’t mind being “pandered” to. In fact, I like it a lot….

  189. cranky-d says:

I agree that I would have preferred she remain governor for a while longer before he debut in national politics. I thought she, along with the governor of LA, would’ve made a formidable pair. I also agree that it is obviously identity politics at its finest, but that is really my least objection since I hope it will bring the reality of identity politics even more to the forefront and hopefully make some people see how destructive it is.

The more you think about it, though, the more unassailable she becomes. You cannot attack her on experience or age unless you are willing to see the fallout attach it self to Obama. She certainly has the conservative bonifides, which are important to the purported base that McCain enjoys annoying.

Anyway, it’s done. We shall see how she does in her debate(s).

  190. The Lost Dog says:

“In addition, I have no idea who the dry pussy brigade is. I think it’s a figment of nishi’s imagination.”

Nishi is the dry pussy brigade. She might put KY in there after the DNA test, but otherwise, Nishi says: “Fuck off!”

And what a riot that nishi cites bher intelligence! Hey, nish! You are probably one of the lowest IQ posters on this blog.

And not only that, you are an absolute pig! We get it, though. “Just how stupid could you be to let a Downes syndrome child live?”

Go fuck yourself. You are about one quarter as smart as you think you are, and you are a disgusting human being. You make most people ashamed that you actually claim to be human. YOU ARE NOT! You are an absoluteDIPSHIT! And the funniest part?

    You are proud of it!

  191. Diana says:

What a bunch of sexist thugs some of you are.

One way or the other, this is going to be a HISTORIC election, and now you can vote either way and still be changey. And then, perhaps, we can all begin to get over it.

  193. cranky-d says:

Good point, Pablo. Though you are changier if you vote for O! I think.

  194. The Lost Dog says:

    And, BTW.

Now that my head has finally filled with blood (it takes at least an hour after I wake up, at my age), I renounce myself for my first comment.

After watching Palin on the news shows, I think I am in love with her. She is awesome, and I can’t wait for her to take Loopy Joe apart when their debate.

I spent a lot of time in Delaware, and have always thought that Biden is/was a flying asshole.

And I have always thought that because he is.

  195. Pablo says:

Though you are changier if you vote for O! I think.

    SEXIST!!!

(Yeah, this is a dumb game, but we’re gonna play it anyway.)

  196. kelly says:

  198. Jeff G. says:

    thor as well.

She is an inauthentic womyn. An Aunt Tom.

    That’s aunt Toni, JD. (racist)

For the record I was most definitely not apologizing to the hateful, despicable nishbot. I was apologizing to the rest of the thread for allowing that cold hearted, science worshiping, evolutionary trash talking, genocidal lunatic to piss me off.

nishi, I’m begging you: Write the Obama campaign and ask them to make Palin’s Downs child a center piece of their Hillary outreach. Please!

How would she feel if I told her she shouldn’t run for office because someone might print photos of her father when he was in the last stages of Parkinson’s? I would expect to be roundly condemned and rightly so. The utter lack of humanity and self awareness in what she writes just astounds me.

BTW: I just talked to Maggie, nishi, and she sweetly agreed that you should fuck off.

  200. Log Cabin says:

If the Nish-tard Mengele and Thor-of-the-pickled-liver are representative of lefties in general, they are extremely scared of Palin as a candidate.

Please, please let the dems hammer her on the experience issue. And may all the elitist leftists attack children with Downs Syndrome and look down on motherhood. I personally guarantee that will deliver the swing states to Obama.

    Lulz!

  201. Carin says:

I would just prefer if they didn’t say such stupid things. I’m more than happy to have divergent thought here. I’d just prefer it was a tad more thoughtful. Coherent.

Honestly, when was the last time either made a good point?

  202. Log Cabin says:

Rats, BJ! You beat my post by a minute. Great minds and all that…

  203. happyfeet says:

I already messaged some of nishi’s comments to people on messenger today. They didn’t know about the Down syndrome baby and I thought that would be a nice way for them to learn.

  204. Andrew the Noisy says:

Everything Blowjob Thor (strong like bull!) and She Who Does It For the Lulz are saying but confirms the fact that this is a strong pick. Which is to say, the counterattacks practically write themselves.

If the best they can do is go after her kids and snark at the state she’s from, they have nothing.

But their dry, knowing tone will doubtless prevail. Keep it up.

  205. Patrick Chester says:

What are thor and nishi bringing to this thread? Why, the true face of the progressives in all it’s ugly pure distilled hatred.

Which is likely why Jeff lets them post here. They utterly damn their little faction with every little sentence.

  206. Mikey NTH says:

I don’t like echo chambers, and, while I do wish they each wouldn’t try so hard, I value some of their occasional insights.

It’s a lot of chaff to go through just to get to a single grain of wheat, though.

  207. Doug Stewart says:

Pablo, et. al.: Fark is on it already.

  208. Jeff G. says:

For you guys, sure, Mikey NTH. But I sometimes get major post fodder out of it.

  209. McGehee says:

She’ll beat some sense into you.

I watched part of the rally in Ohio, listened to her speak. I hadn’t watched her in action before.

I now see some of the reason why she’s so danged popular in Alaska (disappointed comments notwithstanding).

Prediction: McCain gets a huge bounce from this announcement, contrasting sharply with Obama’s drop after the Biden pick.

I can begin to imagine this election resulting from votes actually for the GOP ticket. And that sin’t hay.

  210. Mikey NTH says:

Hmmm. I can see that. Using some of the more wild rhetorical flourishes to point out exactly what you meant.

So they are sort of specimens that you poke with a stick every now and again to watch them jump around?

  211. Diana says:

#210 … Yeah … don’t count her out. She’s got some major chops. Brass ones.

  212. David R. Block says:

Let’s make that $1000.00 and you’re on, thor.

When you lose I have no faith that you’d pay off that amount so why don’t we make it $50 gift card to a t.b.a. selected retailer. I like eating at Cracker Barrel because it reminds me of dumb crackers. Does that sound agreeable to ya, Pablo “the Greek”?

  214. Diana says:

    Shut up, thor.

  215. Mikey NTH says:

Then take him up on the offer, thor.
It sounds like you would have plenty to crow about if he welshed* on the bet, and you’d be $1,000 to the good if he didn’t.

    If you win, that is.

    *Me being un-P.C.

  216. Mikey NTH says:

And me? I don’t bet. I never have, because I don’t think I’d like having an ear full of cider.
    I am un-arrogant that way.

  217. cranky-d says:

I bet tiny amounts. A dollar is good.

  218. Pablo says:

How about we keep it at $1000.00 and have a third party hold the fundage and pay off the day after the election? Jeff or Dan is fine by me.

Put of or shut up, finance boy.

  219. Pablo says:

Thing is, there’s no Cracker Barrels in my hood, and I’m really not interested in thor’s pubic lice appendages. So, cash then.

  220. Pablo says:

    How about it, thor?

  221. Pablo says:

  222. ThomasD says:

I’m with jeff on this one….back to the basement working out and thinking about my own little pot of paradise, and eschewing the watching of the Republicratic cartwheels.

so what the hell, where do you see the differences in USA a year from now with either party in the White House? Gridlock, is my answer.

what’s with the beehive hairdo though??? (now, that’s a substantive question.)

  225. Andrew the Noisy says:

    Gridlock, is my answer.

And a reasonable one, except I think it far more likely with the GOP ticket than with the Sainted O! and Cottonmouth Joe. But gridlock has it’s upsides as well.

For one, it’s hard to keep the rest of the Dinobots in line without him.

  226. Pablo says:
