Following up on a prior post, Alex Kozinski, chief judge for the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, stepped down from a high-profile obscenity trial in Los Angeles, three days after acknowledging that he had posted sexually explicit material on a publicly accessible personal website.
Inasmuch as the rules of legal ethics preclude Kozinski from speaking out while the prosecutor to explore what he saw as a potential conflict of interest, Patterico has an exclusive e-mail from Kozinski’s wife, arguing that “the LA Times story, authored by Scott Glover, is riddled with half-truths, gross mischaracterizations and outright lies.” She also condemns tipster Cyrus Sanai as a disgruntled, vengeful litigant.
The material Patterico identified, imho, speaks for itself — but it speaks well of him to give equal time, and fairness dictates I note the follow-up.
Wives. When you’re tempted girls, just don’t do it. Just keep your mouth shut and let it pass without you.
When my husband’s pr0n collection gets found … I mean if … I mean, my husband doesn’t have any pr0n! No indeedy.
Matter of fact, I made him throw it all away when we had kids. He still thinks sadly back upon that day.
Looking more and more like a political hit by the LAT, which would be entirely in keeping with their past behavior.
Anyone know if LAT plastered Bernie Ward on their front page?
