can you provide the link where you criticized Catholic priests refusing John Kerry Communion? I mean, I understand you and your blogging pals are the arbiters of which priest is actually Godly and which one is not, so I assuming you wrote many a post critical of those anti-Kerry priests too?
Or, is you anger saved for only for the ranting left wingers?
Sure. Show me where you defend the Catholic Church’s position on abortion, John. I’m not so much angry as embarrassed, though, by Father Pf’s shenanigans.
It is my opinion that he is a jackass, though only God can see into his heart. I often express my opinions here.
I have to say I find it incongruous that you, of all people, should accuse me of anger.
I was going to attempt to explain the difference between priests taking positions with regards to doctrine, and a priests ranting from the pulpit about a specific candidate, but that would be lost on him.
And yes, hearing O’Doyle rant about someone else’s anger is good stuff.
Looks like the identity politics that the Democratic party has embraced is coming home to roost. Now their anger is aimed at each other. John didn’t get the memo!
I’m pondering “A Tale of Two Cities” as I consider the juxtaposition of Race/Gender identity politics and Hillary and Barack.
It was the best of opportunities! It was the worse of opportunities.
There was a hue and cry of foundational shifts in the genesis of our country’s history. A black man! A woman! The angels will play their harps and progressives would join hands and sing “This Land is My Land” while pink unicorns caper in the meadows.
But the terrible reality that our two identity warriors were running against each other raised it’s ugly head and breathed the foul, sooty flames of Identity Politics and the singing stopped and progressives began to eat their own.
Live by identity politics … haggle by identity politics.
The lack of self awareness of this trap (I know, I know, self evident,) is both amusing and illustrative. All of those invested in the Black Power and Feminist movements who, for decades, attempted to forge a common victimhood are now largely left to growl at each others unfairness. Those who attempted to be the “all unbiased all of the time” are dogged to pick sides in the identity fest lest they be labeled “Racist!” or Sexist!” None of them saw it coming, so giddy with !!HISTORY!! (and, in the case of the ladies and Caricatures, “her turn” and inevitability) that they were blindly light headed. The crash, especially from the Clintonista feminazis, has been as bitter and outraged as at any time in the last fifty years of legislated victimhood.
You know, that whole “reap what you sow” thang!
One would hope that those who have invested their political and social existance in identity politics would have a V8 moment (*bonk*) and realise that that MLK had a point when he mentioned moving to a place where “the content of their character” would be a far more commonsense and historical place than artificial percentages or symbols.
The dude (priest) is entitled to his opinion. He’s entitled to put on a show at the pulpit. You’re entitled to say you’re offended. What’s the bit deal? It’s called America.
Like I said, he parodied Hillary Clinton, and so? She deserves it. Bravo.
The funniest and most cynically calculating part of the quoted passage is the Obama camp saying they thought Pfleger would be more “savvy” about it. Pfleger gave a sermon at TUCC on Good Friday which included the gem: “I’ll be damned if I’m gonna sit back while you tear down Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright. How dare you!â€Â
One moron’s “parody” is another man’s “divisive, backward-looking rhetoric, which doesn’t reflect the country I see or the desire of people across America to come together in common cause.”
So I guess for Obama’s groupies, being “Presidential” means being able to delegate to TUCC the sole power to explain to Americans the full depth of His faith?

Oh my, Karl’s a emptay shockey outrageatuder! Wake up white, radical right-wingerists, Hillary’s tears are under attack by radical black left-wingerists!
Right wingers don’t need that sort of thing to get their anti-O! exercise on. It’s the middle that rocks when they see it. Feel the hatey beat. Feel the burn.
Pfleger’s less a priest than an apparatchik. However did the Left embed itself so deeply into Catholicism? Even the Pope spouts that brain-dead crap. (Think environmentalism.)
My guess is the congregation is saying “Amen” and thinking “Vanilla Ice.”

Is John Kerry running for president this year? If not, why should I give a holy crap what some priests said about him 4 years ago?
But thanks for the Andre the Giant sized strawman there, John.
If you are going to strawman this sort of thing, at least come with Hagee. It won’t do you any good but at least you’ll be more curent.
Doyle returns. O’Doyle Rules !

They’d be acting on papal guidance, so it really isn’t an issue. In Catholic terms, they were going by the book.
Pablo – That is too nuance-y for O’Doyle.

Gay face.

Sadly? No!
SarahW,
How dare you use the “G-word” when talking about Catholic priests! They don’t all molest little boys!
If they molest little boys, they are pedophiles. Gays don’t molest little boys.
The dude (priest) is entitled to his opinion. He’s entitled to put on a show at the pulpit. You’re entitled to say you’re offended. What’s the bit deal? It’s called America.

Not if the church wants to keep its tax-exempt status. Or is that just for Catholic churches whose pastors speak out against abortion?
So grown men who molest little boys aren’t gay, but same sex pedophiles. Thanks for the distinction. I stand corrected!
New PAC(Political Action Committee), NAMBLA!!!
Ya know, if this kind of crap is what lefties see at their churches, no wonder they’re so scared of religious people.
#17: True. That kind of crap is irritating and boring (as well as uncomfortable to watch). Who wants to waste a Sunday on that kind of shit?
I am still proud to be a godless liberal.
Lisa, what kind of shit do proud godless liberals do on Sunday?

O!
It is kinda harsh to be confronted with a bald-faced liar of a Messiah.
So I guess for Obama’s groupies, being “Presidential” means being able to delegate to TUCC the sole power to explain to Americans the full depth of His faith?
Don’t be hatin’ on Obama, he’s a unifier. His associates, Pfleger, Wright, Ayers, not so much!
Karl Rove! You Magnificent Bastard, You!!

Must. Display. Outrage.
