Helen Golay, 77, was found guilty Wednesday of the first-degree murders of Kenneth McDavid, 50, in 2005 and Paul Vados, 73, in 1999. The jury also convicted her of conspiracy to murder for financial gain counts in both killings.
Co-defendant Olga Rutterschmidt, 75, was convicted of conspiracy to murder McDavid for financial gain as the judge decided to take five initial verdicts.
I’m against the death penalty. Mostly.
Remember Dorothea Puente?
“Gardening Consultant to the Elderly”
It doesn’t mean she’s not a nice person. She just made a mistake.
Ok, the life insurance scam angle was kinda distasteful.. but cut them some slack.. They were euthanizing bums.. Doing a freakin community service.. They don’t belong in jail.. They should be getting some kind of award..
Damn.. if LA is too bleeding heart to appreciate them then exile them to Seattle… We have a bum infestation that we could use their help with.
I would love to see a presidential candidate use this as an anecdote illustrating what retired people have to do to get money in George Bush’s economy.
Can you imagine how humiliating it is for an old woman to have to kill a bum just so she can afford to eat something other than cat food?
Don’t hold your breath, MayBee. Don’t you know, Hillary uses fake anecdotes (http://www.capitolhillblue.com/cont/node/5892) to bash the George Bush economy. LOL.
MayBee, as people live longer, on average, I expect to see a rise in the amount of serious crime committed by the elderly.

They already own shoplifting.
…steal some Metamucil, next thing you know, you’re plantin’ the grill of your Delta 88 into some homeless dude.
It’s like a gateway crime.
