    THEONEOCON !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. BJTexs TW/BP says:

    xtians oppress again lolz

  3. gamera says:

i think K-lo has gone mad.

    Unholy Hold-up [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

Senate sources tell me Barbara Boxer is the holdup on the Casey-supported resolution because of life language. Give it up. It’s the pope. He said God bless America.

Or let’s have this fight, Boxer. You really want to oppose the pope? Any Dems want to come out on record supporting her?

is she seriously suggesting that the papacy influence american lawmakers?
i call treason. praps she shud be drawn and quartered.

  4. Dan Collins says:

    What did you expect, nishi?

  5. gamera says:

    more i guess.
the derb is my homeslice, and i’ll always love ledeen, but the rest of the ppl at NRO’s corner are a becoming serious wastes of spacetime.

  6. Dan Collins says:

And as long as we’re at it, it’s really Boxer who’s been influenced by the Vatican, right? It’s not as though we’d like to elect anyone who’d sacrifice American policy to the warm fuzzies of the Eurocrats, is it?

  7. MC says:

What an amazing demonstration of ethnic diversity celebrating the core values of Christianity. Go Pope!

  8. McGehee says:

Nishtoon got pwn3d on an earlier thread pushing this. The important distinction between a resolution and an actual bill, eludes her.

  9. nishi has company. I guess everyone is supposed to ignore the Pope’s visit?

Or, perhaps some would prefer the Pope said “God DAMN America.”

  10. cranky-d says:

gamera makes me miss darwins all the more.

  11. Dan Collins says:

Carin, it’s not very surprising, when you consider:
    http://quantumghosts.blogspot.com/

  12. gamera says:

    oh yah
    bring on that cholo music.
like anyone could relate to this pope…he looks like uncle fester and sounds like natasha “mekkin beeg trubble for moose an squirrl”

  13. gamera says:

    before i forget..this for darwins

  14. Slartibartfast says:

This reminds me of one of the Over the Hedge cartoon shorts, where they’re having fun with a box of boomerangs and the squirrel.

Except, in this case it’s a box of boomerang-squirrels.

  15. Dan Collins says:

Superduperficies, you must be beautiful, nishi.

  16. nishi’s got a point. We really should pick a spiritual leader based on their appearance.

  17. gamera says:

    you must be beautiful, nishi.

    i am.
praps thats why jeffie doesnt ban me.

  18. CraigC says:

On a slightly related topic, I’ll be in D.C. in May for a friend’s wedding reception. We’re going to see the Phils at the Nats’ new ballpark. Should be pretty cool.

  19. That Jeff doesn’t ban nishi says more about HIM than any beauty nishi claims to have.

Of course, Jeff has banned – maybe- one person?

  20. McGehee says:

He doesn’t ban you because he has a soft spot for the truly pathetic.

  21. McGehee says:

Dang it. I was talking to the Fictitious Turtle Monster ‘toon.

  22. MC says:

The subject expert priest on CNN chose several times to use the word “communion” when referencing the celebration of the Eucharist (mass) that’s occurring now. Pretty universal language and demonstrates how ecumenical Christians have become.

  23. Dan Collins says:

Here are some other places our gamera has been commenting.

  24. Slartibartfast says:

gamera is beautifuller than almost any other box of boomerang-squirrels I’ve ever come across

  25. NukemHill says:

    in Nationals effin Stadium, man.

Would you prefer Locals effin Stadium? Because that’s about the level of play we’re currently getting from the team.

  26. Techie says:

I think Jeff has banned only one person as long as I’ve been reading thie blog.

  27. gamera says:

pfft…like i tole ‘feets, gamera is not a tame turtle.

u kno…u guyz really shud do something about that article i linked for feets.
when godless was hacked off about jareddiamonds book Collapse, we google-bombed a bunch of contradictory seed and real science articles onto the front page.
    certainly u could do that.
or make an expelledexposed style site for carbonbased globalwarming junkscience.

  28. MayBee says:

or make an expelledexposed style site for carbonbased globalwarming junkscience.

    Here you go, nishi.

    http://www.climateaudit.org/

  29. Who cares what it says on Wiki? Who trusts that site for anything?

  30. gamera says:

    not gettin enuff exposure
googlebomb it onto the front page.

look at expelledexposed…like how now i get to watch lotsa ppl squirming away from stein since expelled is exposed as crapology.

  31. Rob Crawford says:

WTF does this thread have to do with “Expelled”?

    WTH does anyone care?

WTF does the latest TTP keep “gracing” us with her idiocy?

  32. MayBee says:

like how now i get to watch lotsa ppl squirming away from stein since expelled is exposed as crapology.

You are changing the world, nishi.

  33. JD says:

expelledexposed. omfg. tha nishidiot’ needle is skipping on the phonograph again.

  34. Education Guy says:

Stein and reasoned humans: How did life begin on earth?
    nishi: Shut up!

You will notice that no attempt will be made to address that question, either by nishi or by the smart people at expelled exposed. Instead you will get double talk about evolution being proven or you will be attacked for belief in IDT or creationism even if you haven’t mentioned it at all.

  35. A fine scotch says:

    Hey, Slart,

You think maybe we could get those boomerang squirrels to hold up the balloon fence? We could use the balloon fence to keep certain “griefers” from ruining yet another comment thread.

  36. gamera says:

    Awwwwww……K-lo, dont be bitter.
    lolz!

  37. happyfeet says:

Thanks nishi – I will read that this morning. Also this pope is kinda a lot inelegant. Not his fault. But it doesn’t help from a marketing perspective for sure. Sorta like Sadr and his shortbus mookiness. Not a lot to work with really.

  38. gamera says:

Stein and reasoned humans: How did life begin on earth?

    my point zactly eduguy.
we have a model that we are fine with.
    dont like it?
    make a better one.
we aint gonna do the heavy lifting tho….you do it.
    or stfu.

haha, and u cant make us!

  39. gamera says:

    hi ‘feets
    how u be?

  40. happyfeet says:

    Er… gamera I mean.

  41. happyfeet says:

I am still catching up from being gone at work and also been feeling sorta out of it. Baracky I am just tired of is part of the deal.

  42. Education Guy says:

we have a model that we are fine with.
    dont like it?

You don’t have a model. What you have is a picture of a model of something else, and you are claiming that it is your model. Which isn’t science, something that you would admit if you were honest. Which you aren’t.

I do appreciate the stfu though. It’s what stupid tyrants always say when they have no real answer.

  43. RTO Trainer says:

My Physics/Astronomy professor claimed up be an athiest (at a Catholic college, no less). I told him that he couldn’t be both a physicist and an athiest. Once I explained my reasoning, he agreed that he must be an agnostic, but could not claim any longer to be an athiest.

  44. dicentra says:

    Gameraaaaa!
    Gameraaaaa!
    Gamera is really neat!
He is filled with turtle meat!
We believe in Ga! Mer! AAAAA!

    Sorry, that’s all I got.

  45. gamera says:

    You don’t have a model.

    yes we do!
science is the ultimate egalitarian marketplace of ideas.
if another model is better it will be adopted.
we are fine with our current model acuz it is the best explanation available of the empirical world. ;)
u are certainly welcome to come up with a better model.
but not to expect that we would do your work for u.
    hahahaha
    lawlz!

  46. JD says:

I forgot the heavy breathing/lifting part.

  47. BJTexs TW/BP says:

Hey! Isn’t the Pope giving a mass today?

    EXPELLEDEXPELLEDEXPELLEDEXPELLEDEXPELLED
    IDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDID
    STEINSTEINSTEINSTEINSTEINSTEINSTEINSTEINSTEIN
    XTIANSXTIANSXTIANSXTIANSXTIANSXTIANSXTIANS
    THEOCONSTHEOCONSTHEOCONSTHEOCONSTHEOCONSTHEOCONS

    Whoa! Sorry I asked…

  48. McGehee says:

    yes we do!

Maybe you do — but it isn’t evolution.

Life can only evolve once it already exists. (A point I’ve made before.)

  49. Rob Crawford says:

    lawlz!

    Liar.
    Fraud.
    Moron.

  50. Cave Bear says:

I always thought Jeff didn’t ban nishi because he had a thing for giant, rocket-powered turtles…:)

I still think she just needs to get laid. A few good mind-blowing orgasms would work wonders for taking the edge off…:) I’d offer to do the job for her, but she’s too young (I never dally with anyone under the age of 40).

And look here, hon. The reason the theory of evolution is so easy to take potshots at is because it’s just that, a theory. Yeah, it seems to fit with what data we have, but there are still huge gaps in that data. And the sad fact is that it does not answer what I gather is Stein’s question. That is, how did life begin? And you have no answer for that. Nobody does.

  51. Pablo says:

    yes we do!
science is the ultimate egalitarian marketplace of ideas.

Too bad you’re not doing science. Then you would. But you’re not and you don’t. Science appreciates inquiry, it does not squash it, nor tell ideas to prove themselves or stfu.

  52. MC says:

Nishi/gamera is actually a very tiny piece of code.

  53. Education Guy says:

if another model is better it will be adopted.
we are fine with our current model acuz it is the best explanation available of the empirical world. ;)

However another model which is just as unscientific as the one you have now will be ridiculed, because of the lack of sciencyness of it. You are fine with you current model so long as you aren’t required to explain it anyone. If someone pushes you on it, you will make vague claims about “models best explaining….” or throw out the word “evolution” and then pretend that what you are doing is science.

You mock others for doing exactly what it is you are doing, only as scientists you should damn well know better.

  54. Pablo says:

You mock others for doing exactly what it is you are doing, only as scientists you should damn well know better.

    Yup.

  55. gamera says:

“You mock others for doing exactly what it is you are doing, only as scientists you should damn well know better.”

    no, absolutely not.
we don’t mock your theory or try to hole it, unless u push it on us.
    then u deserve a smackdown.
like heliocentrism replaced flat earth, better models replace the orthodoxy.
    IDT is the orthodoxy.
TOE and cosmic landscape are the new paradigms.
    the new heresies.
    heh.

again. we are not going to do the work for you.
you cannot shame us into it.
    you must do it yourselves.

  56. gamera says:

more correctly, i should have said heliocentrism replaced geocentrism which replaced flat earth.

  57. Pablo says:

we don’t mock your theory or try to hole it, unless u push it on us.

science is the ultimate egalitarian marketplace of ideas.

Are you the only one here who doesn’t realize how full of shit you are, or is it unanimous?

  58. Education Guy says:

I don’t have to shame you into anything nishi, you are shaming yourself by claiming that the “proofs” applied to one field of study can so easily slide into another. None of the various theories about the origins of life is, so far, scientifically sound. Why you deny this as if it was personal I have no idea. It certainly isn’t the path to enlightenment.

  59. McGehee says:

Why you deny this as if it was personal I have no idea.

She literally wants to be her own personal Jesus, and cannot tolerate any rival.

  60. gamera says:

“you are shaming yourself by claiming that the “proofs” applied to one field of study can so easily slide into another.”

then admit IDT is not science, and can never be science.

  61. gamera says:

teach it in philosophy courses and seminaries.
    where it belongs.

  62. gamera says:

discuss it in philosophy courses and seminaries.
    not in science class.

  63. McGehee says:

    discuss it in philosophy courses

Yeah, that works. Except when the Grand Inquisitors of Evolution sue to prevent it.

  64. gamera says:

    gutless cowards
    /spit

a lot of scientists believe in god/allah/hashem.
but we arent interested in forcing ben stein crapology into unis and highschools.
we plan to unpick the fabric of spacetime, map the omnium, recreate the “spark” in nanoscale, an build atoms from scratch.
thus will we know the nature of the Creator of Worlds.

  65. gamera says:

erm…that was teh parents that sued, not “grand inquisitors”.

according to the U.S. District Court suit filed by parents of 13 students.

    cant u read mcgeehee?

  66. JD says:

    and can never be science.

That does not sound like a very open minded marketplace of ideas kind of thinking.

/spit on nishidiot for ruining good threads.

  67. gamera says:

that is wat he said JD.
that the scientific method cannot be applied to IDT.
so it can never be science.

  68. Slartibartfast says:

    cant u read mcgeehee

I can read McGeehee just fine, thanks. The source of McGeehee’s problem is, in all probability, on your side of the screen, because you can’t write intelligibly.

  69. gamera says:

personally, i think it could be.
    IDT is like QFT.
50 years ago we had no tools for the science of the very small.
quantum theorists built tools, did the research…did the heavy lifting.

that ID theorists are uninterested in attempting that is profoundly revelatory to me.
it means they do not believe IDT can be a science.

  70. gamera says:

and if it can’t be science, dont discuss it in science class.
    :)

  71. JD says:

heavy lifting !!!!!!!!! heavy lifting !!!!!!!!! heavy lifting !!!!!!!!!heavy lifting !!!!!!!!!heavy lifting !!!!!!!!!heavy lifting !!!!!!!!!

  72. Pablo says:

quantum theorists built tools, did the research…

Where? They built their own universities, as you’ve said any ID’ers should do, right? Which ones?

  73. RTO Trainer says:

“a lot of scientists believe in god/allah/hashem”

Reversal. Two points for McGehee, Slart, and Pablo.

  74. RTO Trainer says:

The Scientific Method can’t be applied to evolution either.

What, I wonder, is the conflict between intelligent design and evolution?

  75. gamera says:

no pablo, dummie, they got research fundage, endowed chairs and departments, not building whole unis.
but……just use BYU or Oral Roberts or Texas xian, if u need a uni.
    see?
u feel like ur entitled to force IDT into our unis.
    won’t happen.
    :)

  76. gamera says:

“The Scientific Method can’t be applied to evolution either.”

oh noes, it is alla time.
    see fruitfly genetics.

  77. MayBee says:

    ” our unis.”

    our?

  78. gamera says:

    RTO, i believe in god/allah/hashem.
    didn’t u know?

  79. gamera says:

    non-xian unis maybee.

    don’t u get it?
this is just more identity politics.
the highly educated + academe vs religious conservatives.

    politics is fractal.
no matter the size, the shape remains the same.

  80. MayBee says:

    don’t u get it?

No, I did not get to whom the “our” referred.

  81. RTO Trainer says:

    Gamera, you aren’t a scientist.

    Fruitfly evolution is reproducible?

  82. JD says:

nishi has OCD. Word association – Baseball. IDT!
    Football. theocons
    Baracky. Wet panties
    Golf. heavy lifting

  83. Pablo says:

I don’t feel any such thing, nishi. I just enjoy pointing out you enormous holes in what you represent as logic. It amuses me to watch you wriggle and twist.

  84. RTO Trainer says:

What, I wonder, is the conflict between intelligent design and evolution?

  85. BJTexs TW/BP says:

Cause Nishi says it is, RTO. And many of us dance to the tune. Shame on us.

  86. gamera says:

hehe, well i lurvs watching u all squirm away from stein’s crapology.
you were so …..pitifully ….hopeful that it really was just the big bad intolerant scientists keepin IDT down.
turns out its just crapology, and none of steins psuedoscientists even believes in it!!!!
    hahaha

  87. Pablo says:

hehe, well i lurvs watching u all squirm away from stein’s crapology.

No, I’m gonna go watch it. I can at least count on Stein to be funny, and I’m sure he’ll do a far better job of explaining his position than you have. From what I’ve heard of him doing so, it sounds nothing like what you’ve said it is.

  88. JD says:

nishi argues like the gleens/mona/socky. They assert that the right believes something. When anyone points out that they are the only ones asserting that, that their underlying assumptions are flawed, they take that as proof of their original flawed assertion.

  89. Pablo says:

What, I wonder, is the conflict between intelligent design and evolution?

I don’t know how there can really be one when evolution cannot and does not even attempt to offer a theory of the origins of life, let alone identify it.

  90. gamera says:

    epiphany!
    this is purrfect.
    teach IDT in your unis!
    its genius.
hire those fired guys and build a curriculum around them!!!!!!!

BYU, Oral Roberts, Texas Christian….are there more?

  91. McGehee says:

erm…that was teh parents that sued, not “grand inquisitors”.

Represented by the Grand Inquisitors of Evolution.

    Can’t you think, nishi?

(What’s wrong with asking a rhetorical question?)

  92. McGehee says:

What, I wonder, is the conflict between intelligent design and evolution?

As originally proposed, ID was (I thought) an attempt to make evolution more palatable to that segment of Christians who already didn’t believe the 144-hours-to-create-heaven-and-earth literal story of Genesis.

  93. McGehee says:

…which means that by attacking it at the outset as Creationism, the Grand Inquisitors of Evolution basically told open-minded Christians we’re not welcome in their temple.

  94. Rob Crawford says:

the highly educated + academe vs religious conservatives.

You must work at, or still attend, a university, because you sure as hell don’t qualify as “highly educated”.

How does it feel to always come off as a barely literate child?

  95. RTO Trainer says:

McGehee, Are you suggesting that intelligent design does not contradict evolution? That it only allows those who are already inclined to believe in God to reconcile that with modern science?

That it might just give a teacher, confronted with a student who says “But that’s not what I’ve been taught…,” a way to move the discussion on without alienating the student or precipitating a fight in class or in homes?

    How fiendish.

  96. RTO Trainer says:

There are, of course, no religious conservatives in academe or among the highly educated….

  97. cranky-d says:

There are, of course, no religious conservatives in academe or among the highly educated….

Professing a belief in G-d when among the ivory-tower intellectuals in academia can get you a wide range of responses. Every now and then you might even find someone who is also willing to admit such a belief, but it is quite uncommon.

  98. McGehee says:

    How fiendish.

    Diabolically so.

  99. McGehee says:

…and where did that fictitious turtle monster get off to? Off in a corner with its fingers in its ears shouting “lalalalalala I can’t hear you”…?

Which, if so it’s the most limber turtle I’ve ever heard of.

  100. B Moe says:

Do turtles have ears? This one doesn’t act like it.

  101. gamera says:

    nonononono
    don’t u see?
it is perfect….you already HAVE unis!!!!
hire those guys that benstein says got fired for mentioning the g-word!!!
    fund research, curriculae, textbooks, journals!!
all in ur own christian unis!!!!!

    wait….
oh…u dont want it taught in xian colleges…..u want it taught in secular colleges?
    hahaha
    no way.
you are trying to push ur ideas on us.
    we reject that, hehe.

  102. gamera says:

    wat…aren’t christian colleges real colleges?
    hahaha
    ima go tell PZ.
    so sweet, so simple.

  103. JD says:

    fuckin’ blithering imbecile, nishi is.

Back on topic, I still remember driving 8 hour to see the Pope at Grant Park in Chicago.

  104. Rusty says:

Without the church ,nishi, western civilization and the scientific method wouldn’t exist as we know them today. All because of our creator god. So give a little credit where credit is due.

  105. Pablo says:

    nonononono
    don’t u see?
it is perfect….you already HAVE unis!!!!

So don’t come around here no more!

science is the ultimate egalitarian marketplace of ideas.

    Except for when it isn’t.

  106. gamera says:

    i do.
but that doesnt mean u all get to tell us wat to think.

    see how perfect this is?
either u all admit that xian colleges arent real colleges, or u admit to tryin to tell us wat to think.
    ;)

    purrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect.

  107. gamera says:

    which is it?
    lolz!

  108. gamera says:

    i think i knooooooow

    hahahahaha

  109. gamera says:

science is the ultimate egalitarian marketplace of ideas.

    oh it is pablo hunnie.
that is the real reason ID cant get any traction.
    ;)

  110. gamera says:

and u are trying to force us to buy!!!!!
    hahahaha
    sillie pablo.
you cant make someone buy the inferior model when the price of the superior model is the same.
    :)

  111. Challeron says:

    There was a topic here?

I thought it was just another u xians r so dum tantrum.

  112. cranky-d says:

The flying turtle again amuses itself by pooping all over the comments. Too bad no one ever house-trained it.

  113. gamera says:

    haha, which is it crank-d?
are xian colleges good enuff to discuss ID in?
or…are u really trying to force us to buy the inferior model.

  114. gamera says:

    same question challeron

  115. RTO Trainer says:

I have to admit to prodding it with the stick, but I really think after this performance we have to agreee to let the raves go unanswered.

She’s not like dd or alphie or the rest. There’s no danger anyone will be mislead or take her seriously so we shouldn’t either.

Just my opinion. I’m swearing off. If I fall off the wagon, feel free to beat me lightly with a warm squash or something.

  116. RTO Trainer says:

So, JD, what was that like. I’ve never seen the Pope in person.

  117. gamera says:

    /sideways smile

    i win again.

  118. McGehee says:

    i win again.

She’s found she always wins when she’s arguing against the voices in her head.

  119. Challeron says:

I’m not trying to prod any turtles, but I have noticed that most of the people pooh-poohing ID are Secular Humanists, who refuse to believe that there could be anything more powerful in all the Universe than themselves.

And if it would actually make sense to a turtle, I might note that there is little need to “discuss ID” in any college that already accepts the notion of a God; but, then, what would a turtle know of these things?…

  120. gamera says:

I might note that there is little need to “discuss ID” in any college that already accepts the notion of a God

see? u wanna tell us wat to think.
    not havin any.
    i knew it!
this is just more fuckin proselytizing isnt it?

  121. gamera says:

see? all this freedom of inquiry is just fuckin bullshit.
u want to tell us wat to think.
    bite me.

  122. B Moe says:

You know, her Us vs. Them framing of her argument really brings out the SCIENCE! as a competing religion in nishiworld, doesn’t it?

  123. Challeron says:

Ladies and Gentlemen of PW, forgive me; you are (and always have been) correct.

Whatever this fantasyland creature who thinks it’s a Muslim Nihonjin is (beyond pathetically searching for validation), there is no longer any doubt in my mind that it is too dense for a neutron bomb to penetrate.

Did anyone else — absolutely anyone else — not understand that I was referring to the “xtian” skools having “little need”? Nishimotogamer, is there anygoddamned thing at ALL in the Universe that does not revolve around YOU??

… Or, do I maybe know the answer to that one?…

  124. Rusty says:
