Our DSL line is down (again), making posting really difficult, so new entries will be sparse for a spell (in order to post this, for instance, I had to pitch handfuls of ball bearing into the aluminum cradle of my satellite dish while simultaneously rubbing two sticks together; my wife, meanwhile, stood off to the side and fanned the phone jack with a palm frond).
Balloon Juice: the more I visit your site, the more I like the design. It’s like the cyberworld’s equivalent of Neapolitan icecream — kind of…I don’t know, creamy, almost. Only thing is, right after I visit, I have the strangest urge to do some sit-ups…

You are kidding. It looks like something I made on a Commodore 64.
I guess my goal was to shoot for something as aesthetically dysfunctional as my bloviated opinions. I think I have succeeded famously. Your own Helen is helping (helping in the sense that she re-designed something- now she is going to have to walk my stupid self through it to get it to work with blogger).
I think I am going to have to break down and get a web page progrma. Note pad and cutting and pasting from sites I like is not working anymore.
Notepad’s worked fine for me. The hardest part was doing colors, but if you do a google search for “HTML Color Table”, you’ll find plenty of sites with all the standard HTML colors and their Hexidecimal numbers.
That and two-columned tables is where it’s at.
There’s also a great site, <a href=”http://www.websitetips.com” target=”new”>www.websitetips.com</a>, that has all kinds of helpful tutorials and tons of links.
