At Jawa, screenshots showing how the BBC website characterized yesterday’s massacre of students at an Israeli yeshiva first as an accident, then as an incident, as in:
“Incidentally, I just killed your family.”
Judging from the format, I’d say that the screenshots were lifted from the “Comment is free” section. hf corrects me, below

Oh. You is mixing up BBC and the Guardian. No worries. That happens a lot.
See, Dan, Jews aren’t really people who can be murdered. Especially those dangerous Yeshiva Jews.
NPR and other liberal MSM outlets were uncharacteristically aghast at this atrocity. But, they still called the killer a “militant”, not being able to bring themselves to use the T-word even for this.
We’ve got these dogs strapped up to electrical zappers and stingers
Jesus Christ, just let the fucking animal go where it pleases
If it runs away it obviously doesn’t like you
If it shits in other people’s lawns they can pick it up if they don’t like it
Shit is more natural than the pansies and trimmed hedges
Let an animal be an animal
Stop neutering everything!*
I reserve my right as a free mammal to shit on xavier’s lawn.
Oh. SI, NPR I think had to do that cause they also went to great pains to emphasize how suicide bombings in Iraq “really do terrorize the people” and how Iraqis are almost in a panic that security gains could simply evaporate. NPR never did the “really do terrorize the people” thing until the surge succeeded. They’re flexible like that.
Hamas Claims Jerusalem School Attack
oh yeah. We did that. They can pick it up if they don’t like it.
Where were we in the “peace process” again?
Regarding the BBC edit can I point you in the direction of News Sniffer, a website devoted to showing the different versions of BBC stories.
For example this story is here.
You can see that “accident” lasted from versions 1 to version 3 and then in version 4 onwards “incident” is used.
