Hillary Clinton’s comment that presumed GOP nominee John McCain has more experience than her Democratic rival, Barack Obama — combined with her going nuclear with the “3 a.m. phone call” ad as her ’08 odds sink– has strange bedfellows like Kathryn Jean Lopez at NRO and left-liberals at OpenLeft wondering what her real motivation is.
Maybe she is a Unifier!
My husband (D-LA) and I were talking about this this weekend. He was surprised that Hillary was going so far so late in the game, because she’s feeding the R’s attack lines if she doesn’t win. He thought she wouldn’t want to hurt the Dems like that.
I said she is close personally to McCain. Perhaps she really would rather have him be President, for two reasons:
1-Surely keeping another D from the presidency preserves Bill’s legacy.
2-Hillary has always been tough, always been a hawk. Perhaps her concerns about Obama’s FP experience are genuine.
Not a Decider?
It’s almost analogous though to a fiduciary duty. How do you explain to shareholders (donors) why you failed to attempt to exploit your competitor’s most glaring weakness?
Maybe she is a Unifier!
LOL, Karl! You know I don’t agree with much on this blog, but I do like this. Funny! :-)
Too many are too quick to write-off Hillary – dangerously adding to what will be Hillary’s (and the MSM’s) new mantra after she takes Tx and Oh. Hillary is the new Comeback Kid! Just like Bill!
Obama’s in trouble. If he loses both Tx and Oh, his vaunted momentum will have come to a screeching halt. Only recently have the lapdogs of the MSM begun to seriously question Obama inre Rezko, or anything else. I think a buyers remorse is setting in among the delegates.
Maybe. NPR didn’t report anything about Obama’s recent “travails,” this being the day of the primary and all, but they made time for an extensive look at how he’s just like FDR and is very much the MAN FOR OUR TIMES in the same way as FDR was and Reagan was. They will not be very happy to report a Hillary victory tonight, and I imagine they’ll work rather hard not to.
