    you shouldn’t.
    Gorgeous island.
But in case you’ still do, we have friends with timeshare on St.Maarten, I could ask…

  2. Dan Collins says:

It’s all right. I’ve got an invitation to go skiing in Montenegro.

  3. harrison says:

    “Torture jets”, eh?

    Sounds like a tourist junket.

  4. B Moe says:

    Some more unbiased journalism.

  5. serr8d says:

    Rendition. Sounds torturous.

    But, Bill Clinton

..If we do not receive adequate cooperation from a state that harbors a terrorist whose extradition we are seeking, we shall take appropriate measures to induce cooperation. Return of suspects by force may be effected without the cooperation of the host government, consistent with the procedures outlined in NSD-77, which shall remain in effect. (S)

    Cigar-boy actually signed that.

    Republicans, though, actually use it.

  6. geoffb says:

I suppose it would be better for the left if perhaps, when approaching Diego Garcia, all terrorist suspects should be dumped into the Indian Ocean so as not to contaminate the British Base with their presence on the island.

I have never quite understood what those buttheads are getting at.

After all, what we have here is a practical example of multiculturalism. It is, according to every tenet of their religion philosophy, an act of utter vileness to treat anyone according to the rules and procedures of an alien culture. “Rendition” simply returns individuals to the bosom of their native culture(s), where they can be treated strictly according to the expectations, rules, and procedures they grew up with. What’s the objection?

    Regards,
    Ric

  8. Dan Collins says:

    Most excellent, Ric.

I was in Diego garcia for about 10 days in 1982. Two cool things. Each day, us Navy guys would clean up the berthing areas and such. They’d take the Marines to the other side of the island and have ’em cut trees and basically just worked their asses off. HA!

Second I got drunk the night before we left, got a wiffle ball bat and went around knocking the shit out of crabs.

Bonus, they had a beagle that did all of the drug searches.
