It was through Danny’s face that people came to grasp the depth of cruelty and inhumanity into which this planet of ours has been allowed to sink in the past two decades. His murder proved that 9/11 was not an isolated event, and helped resurrect the age-old ideas of right and wrong, good and evil. Moral relativism died with Daniel Pearl in January 2002.
If only.
God bless Mr. Pearl and his family in their suffering.
I must agree with you, Dan. The reaction on the left is, “If only we (didn’t support Israel, weren’t so greedy, or fill in your accusation of choice), then Danny would still be alive. His death is Bushitler’s fault.”
The fact of the matter is that moral relativism is alive and well in the media, on the blogosphere, and on campuses like the one where Prof Pearl teaches.
Well, you know, we can’t kill them all. Can we? CAN WE? HUH?
HALLIBURTON!
Well said, Mr. Pearl. May God bless you and your family and may the world stand up and take notice.
It amazes me that you can have Judah Pearl on one hand and Mike Berg on the other.
Mr. Pearl is surprisingly optimistic on the death of moral relativism.
Unfortunately, he’s wrong.
Moral relativism got a boost from the people who think they can delay or even deny their fate by taking up moral relativism.
Very interesting read, Mr. Collins. I have said “thank you” for being Dan Collins yet today?
Thanks, Thor.
