Now, even though I’m Catholic, I think this guy’s a bit of a dick.  Still, if dickishness is outlawed, only outlaws will have dicks.ÂÂ
â€ÂA lifetime ban on public criticism of homosexuality was upheld against a Catholic activist in Canada by his province’s superior court.â€Â
“Bill Whatcott was fined 17,500 Canadian dollars by the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission in a complaint by four homosexuals who charged he “injured†their “feelings†and “self respect†in pamphlets denouncing the “gay lifestyle†as immoral and dangerous, Lifesite News reported.â€Â
“This fine is for telling the truth [that] homosexual sodomites can change their behavior and be set free from their sin and depravity through the forgiveness of sins and shed blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,†Whatcott said. That is true from a Christian perspective; but it is also true that the state is criminalizing the thoughts of their people, restricting Freedom of Religious Worship and have enacted a serious curtailment of their right to Free political speech.
The Religion of the State shall have paramountcy.  Citizens shall be suffered to practice faiths that diverge from the True One, provided that in no way does the expression of such faith gainsay or call into question the supremacy of the Established Faith.  Transgression of this policy shall result in fine or imprisonment, or both.(h/t Rob at Say Anything)ÂÂ
They can’t criticize teh gays? Seriousy? The question begs, can teh gays criticize the straights? After all, we don’t want to “injure” anyone’s “feelings” or “self respect”.
This is a fascinating exercise in Animal Farm politics. Just watching the incremental tyranny of the left put into place by the court at the behest of the well-meaning is amazing. And they do it by asserting that they are not religious, and so it’s ok.
You’ll be nice to each other if we have to throw you into reeducation camps, dammit!
You got the mooselimbs suing Steyn. You got this kind of shit. Sounds like those hosers up there have taken a few too many pucks to the head. Good thing people in the U.S. don’t get excited when you call someone a faggot or anything.

WTF??? Seems to me that Mark Steyn and Maclean’s might actually be in a spot of real trouble after all.
Kee-rist!
Sticks and stones and… what was that again?
You people just don’t get it, do you?
His insensitive remarks put those poor homos into a shame spiral.
A FUCKING SHAME SPIRAL!!!!
Is there any greater thought crime?
Smiles, everybody, sunshiney happy smiles!!!
Once our troops return, with honor, from Iraq, I modestly propose we assign them the task of liberating Canada from the clutches of its human rights tribunals. This exercise shouldn’t be too hard: most Canadian cities of any consequence are located within 100 miles of the border, so we’d need only a three-day weekend to free the Great White North from its thralldom.
Once we’ve helped the Canucks, we can liberate San Francisco, Ann Arbor, Chapel Hill, Austin, Cambridge, and Martha’s Vineyard in short order. ;)
No one can injure your “self respect” without your permission. Seriously; if you truly respect yourself, nothing any random person says can hurt you. I’ve been told I’m going to hell for various reasons; I’ve had my competence questioned by incompetents attempting to defend themselves; I’ve been insulted by random idiots on the street. So what? The only time mere words should have any impact is when they’re said by someone whose opinion you value.
He forgot that you can only criticize homosexuals (or kill them) with impunity if YOU’RE MUSLIM.
He needs to convert and continue his, ahem, crusade/jihad. Then the Canuckians will suffer head-exploding cognitive dissonance because they could never infringe on a multiculturalist’s criticism of gays.
[…] kind of vile insanity, posing as altruism, is evil in the extreme. But it’s worse, mind you, to offend the sensibilities of homosexuals than it is to advocate the elimination of our species. There just are no words bathetic enough to […]
There is no freedom of speech in Canada, this has been true for some time. However, has anyone seen a report from anyone other than World Net Daily?
Can I sue Canada for offending me and hurting my feelings by trying to turn into some ivory tower PC version of a third-world kakistocracy on my country’s doorstep?
On the other hand, smart Canadians may be moving here soon, and smart immigrants are always a good thing.
Humans act like a virus in this organic world. Get over yourselves.
Mother Earth is gonna shake us off like a bad head cold. We’ve been here about as long as your short hairs.

They have been doing so, for decades.
In 2006, about 18,000 Canadians came to the US. Compare that to about 11,000 US citizens total living in Canada. It’s even more striking when you realize that the US has ten times the population of Canada.
Can you think of a single famous Canadian (other than politicians) who still lives in Canada? Most of them live here. Hell, they couldn’t even hang on to Gretzky.

Notice how the bar has been pushed so far even people shocked by this are buying into it slightly. Saying homosexuality is a sin and wrong is “being a dick.”

Uh. Humans are organic.
Evil exists, no? Is it not true? Is it not?! Admit that it does. It does! Fight evil. Fight it!

Apparently the man is part of a cultish group that widely disseminates such views. These homophobical people also appear to be critical of same-sex behaviour …. (Various) […]
