Fight the powers that be! [motionview]

Once upon a time, a local school administration spent $35M on a bright shiny new office building by the sea, when half of the students in the district were schooled in trailers. Parents were understandably upset and complained. Bureaucrats don’t like their actions being questioned, so they developed an enemies list and exacted retribution on the children of complaining parents. These parents did two things: form a class and sue

No reason to stop the blog entirely while I continue my 4+-year battle with evil, right? So. Boy howdy. That Obama sure is a fuck-up, ain’t he? Discuss.

When you’ve lost Time Magazine…

Mark Halperin crafts the Obamalot death notice: With the exception of core Obama Administration loyalists, most politically engaged elites have reached the same conclusions: the White House is in over its head, isolated, insular, arrogant and clueless about how to get along with or persuade members of Congress, the media, the business community or working-class voters. This view is held by Fox News pundits, executives and anchors at the major

“How Will the Court Rule in Mandate Case?”

As Barton Hinkle makes clear, each of the legal tacks being advanced to (potentially) legally justify a favorable ruling for ObamaCare advocates would confer such broad powers on the government that we as a country will have effectively (in my estimation) used our own courts to deconstruct the Constitution, rendering it a de facto legal document that grants the government unfettered power over the people who supposedly comprise it. Meanwhile, today’s progressives — the direct descendants of the New Left — pretend toward a counterculture hipness that simply doesn’t jibe with their calls to regulate salt intake, or

“Nearly half of Obama’s supporters have now given up on him: poll”

Hope! Nearly half the people who once considered themselves supporters of President Barack Obama don’t anymore. […] A new poll released today by Bloomberg News finds all that hopey-changey stuff is rapidly turning to disappointment and disenchantment. While 47% of all voters approve of Obama’s job now, ominously for 2012 only 36% of onetime Obama supporters now approve. Alas, Hillary Clinton appears to be the biggest beneficiary. — Which means
