Hillary Clinton channels Garrison Keiller [Darleen Click]

Welcome to Wobegonistan

Hillary Clinton may be planning to close a lot of schools. At a town hall event today in Keota, Iowa, Clinton said she would keep open “better than average” schools:

“This school district and these schools throughout Iowa are doing a better than average job,” Clinton told the crowd. “Now, I wouldn’t keep any school open that wasn’t doing a better than average job. If a school’s not doing a good job, then you know it may not be good for the kids.”

“Now, I wouldn’t keep any school open that wasn’t doing a better than average job.”

Translation: “I intend to close half the schools in the country.”

Finally, a reason to vote for her. If only she was smart enough to know what she really said.

Of course, closing schools isn’t part of a president’s job…

If she wants to close schools she needs to run for governor somewhere. Maybe California.

    Greetings:

Is it just me or are Hillary’s pantsuits morphing into Mao suits ???

  6. McGehee says:

By next Christmas she’ll look like one of these.

But without the abstemiousness, of course.

Typical. “Average” isn’t a real measured amount, it is a standard created by “smart” people like Hillary.

I also never fully understand when they say something “60% of people are overweight”. My first though is that only 50 % can be over the average but, I assume they mean some “ideal weight”.

That makes me ask what is the ideal standard based on? World wide average? I think that would mean that “overweight” translates to “not starving”.
