“Incoming RGA chair Chris Christie to SC Republicans: I want to help Lindsey Graham get reelected”

It’s an incestuous old boys club — and those who actually have the temerity, in the face of all evidence otherwise, to call themselves “conservatives,” simply do not realize that they are about to face a rebellion of epic proportions.   Or rather, they do, and they simply don’t much care.

The GOP has stopped even pretending to support its base.  And now we have the “inevitable” Chris Christie doing as he always does:  backing the incumbent with the R behind his name, no matter how much of a statist and a quisling said Republican is.  Christie, recall, backed Mike Castle.  And he has no problems dining with Obama, or hugging him for the cameras, in the run up to a Presidential election.

Okay, then.  The GOP can have him.  But it won’t have me or millions like me.  Better to know and face your enemies than to give them support, be they Marxists like Hillary and Obama, or neostatist big government backstabbing corporatists like most of our current long-term GOP Senators.

They are openly declaring war.   Better a big government Democrat than a constitutional conservative.  Because under the former, they still retain a ton of federal power, while under the latter, they’re likely to see some of their influence intentionally and deliberately scaled back.

And please: don’t listen to the self-consciously nuanced breakdowns of the politics of all this.  You shouldn’t be interested.  Because this isn’t a game, and so we don’t need play by play men explaining the intricacies of the game to us.  Instead, this is about liberty, creeping socialism and liberal fascism, and the subsuming of both the states and the individual under the control of the federal government, its corporate cronies, and the army of millions of lawyers and regulators who increasingly run this country.

Honestly?  I wouldn’t piss on half of them were they on fire.

  1. sdferr says:

Christie supporting Graham is perfectly of a piece with the story going around that Christie refused to come at Cuccinelli’s invitation to campaign with Cuccinelli in Va. Clarity, though good, can also be bitter.

  2. McGehee says:

It would seem that the lines are now so sharply drawn that it should only take asking a candidate his opinion of the Tea Party to determine whether he is worth backing.

A year from now — after the 2014 elections — that might no longer be the case; we should enjoy it while we can.

Mark Levin is not a happy camper.

Reince Priebus defends RNC support for Cuccinelli, Mark Levin calls in and FIRES BACK at Priebus

I only wish they could have been on the line at the same time so we could hear Levin thoroughly dismantle Priebus as they lying crapweasel he is.

Ah, but would you give them the sweat off of your balls if they were thirsting to death?

    In the interest of accuracy.

    – Or wipe your ass with their hair if you got caught in a MickeyD’s restroom with no toilet paper?

    There…FTFY.

  8. If I may be so immodest for a moment, What I wrote about Christie today was, I think, on the mark:

…More and more I am convinced that he’s never matured beyond being the really fat kid in high school who will suck-up to the ruling cliques, fawning over them in a rather faggety way, and, when dealing those kids not a part of said ruling cliques, will play the role of douchebag tyrant.

That man-child has some serious issues.

The Christie media love fest is SO “Maverick” McVain deja vu.

BTW … interesting to hear Prager slag Christie’s speech and Medved praise it.

Prager said the speech had no “there there” … that one, even he, couldn’t begin to tell you anything of what Christie believes in.

Medved said it was a great speech that put “people over abstracts.”

  17. sdferr says:

It isn’t hard to discern that Christie believes deeply in Christie.
