A serious set of questions for establishment Republicans in the Senate and their GOP media enablers

Do you think we’re total morons?  That is, us, outside the Beltway, who — unlike you, and some other special interests — will be forced to live under ObamaCare?

Do you think proclaiming publicly that “I’m voting for the bill the House passed” while simultaneously refusing to hold firm against Reid’s likely attempted measure to strip out the defunding language with a simple majority — which we all know the Democrats have — is some clever rhetorical ruse we can’t see right through?  And that it will give you cover with the dullards back home to whom you’ll highlight your vote to defund ObamaCare, the thinking being that they won’t understand or be aware of the parliamentary gamesmanship you’ve worked out with Reid to give you political in exchange for an easy way to kill the defund measure?

Do you think we don’t know that you’ve likely colluded in this with the House leadership, to whom the bill will be returned stripped of the defund language, at which time John Boehner — with the aid of the establishment’s pet pundits — will kick this particular can down the road yet again by passing a resolution that defunds some small part of ObamaCare, then claiming victory and bipartisan compromise, a compromise that Congress doesn’t have to live under but that will effectively institute ObamaCare forever?

Is that what you think?

Do you really think we can’t see the writing on the wall — namely, that if you allow ObamaCare to be instituted, it becomes an entitlement program the left will threaten to deny funding for in the event of any government shut down, in essence being able to use the healthcare forced on us against our will to blackmail ourselves into certain fiscal ruin?

Because you’re wrong.  We see all of that.  And we see what it is you’re doing.

You’ll get no cover if you vote to allow Reid to strip the defund measure from the bill with a simple majority vote.  Your show vote against ObamaCare that follows will be exposed for the too clever by half gambit it is.  You’ll be marked as deceitful enablers of government health care, and you, too, will own it.  Which is fine with many of you, but that you know will tick off the dullards you’re forced to ostensibly represent should they find out.

But we’ve already found out. We see you.

And we will not forget, nor will we forgive.

For years now I’ve been writing that our supposed two party system is nothing more than the ruling class vs. the rest of us.  Such a formulation was deemed unhelpful by certain types (who are themselves now making use of it, guided by a finger in the wind form of editorial “pragmatism”) and I was all but shunned.

Well, fuck those who shunned me, and fuck you, GOP establishment, for thinking we “Visigoths” and “Hobbits” and “anarchists” and “True Believers” and “Purists” and “far right extremists” and “wacko birds” and “pseudo-intellectuals” with our clown noses and our dangerous sociopathic tendencies toward unsolicited violence and latent terrorism, were too stupid to follow along the path of nuance you extolled, a path that was never anything more than an elaborate rationalization for surrender disguised as a necessary appeal to compromise and moderation.

ObamaCare will be as much yours to own as it is will be the progressives,’ who’ve known for a century that controlling our health care is the key to finally breaching the Constitution, turning citizens into subjects, and making of free men laborers to the state.

And your empty gestures today do nothing to mitigate what it is you’ve done to help destroy this country. You selfish, sanctimonious, elitist pricks.

Scroll down to look at the Senatorial “whip list”. It’s very sparsely populated with definitive identities thus far. But it does tell a story, or many stories in fact, evenso. For instance, it looks to me as though Rubio’s early appearance there is probably connected to his many egregious missteps on the immigration issue. He may be an unwise juvenile legislator, with a lot yet to discover, but he isn’t entirely a slow learner.

    Kelly Ayotte’s “mailbox is full.”

I was gonna copypasta that in my latest emails to my Senators. But I hated the thought that they wouldn’t actually read the masterpiece.

So I went with the basic “a vote for cloture is a vote for Obamacare, and EXPECT me to respond accordingly.”
