I found the comments under the article to especially instructive. A lot of people are excusing the obvious violation of free speech because the guy is supposedly a convicted felon and may have violated the terms of his probation.
We’re entering police state territory. The cops are fully complicit at this point, because they could have refused to follow these orders.
So when are we going to get a posse together and go after James Cameron?

Both times, the police were involved and were “just following orders.”

The guy was not arrested or detained, he voluntarily went in for FBI questioning and he’s perfectly free, aside from the media mob camped outside his door. Were I the FBI, I’d have a few questions I’d like to ask him too, mostly pertaining to my suspicion that this whole thing was a set up, a false flag. They may have other pertinent avenues of inquiry.

This is what burns me about Hillary. The *itch (first consonant of your choice) should have said something like “Whatever this video says DOES NOT MATTER. Human beings have the absolute right to say what they will and YOU have the obligation not to react with violence. He probably has his guy on speed dial, as he does seem to be a rather unsavory chap. It seems to me that if you’re on probation and violating it, it’s probably best not to get yourself at the center of an international shitstorm.
I suspect he’s got a legal problem as I understand that the terms of his probation included not assuming aliases and not using the internet. He’s clearly violated the former and possibly the latter.
Reynolds at Instapundit has come out very strongly against the administration hauling in a citizen in the middle of the night.
Normally, Reynolds avoids opining about stuff he links but this time, he really cut loose against the administration.
As a schauspiel intended for consumption by ignorant foreigners who themselves are subject to hauling off for questioning at the whim of their governments, I’d say the Obama administration has the contours down pat.
