Ted Cruz is who we classical liberals / constitutionalists hoped Marco Rubio would be

That’s my prophecy. For what it’s worth.

As in all things, we shall see.

I won’t mind if he’s only 25% better than Dewhurst might have been, it’s still an improvement. When the rest of the Senate makes Ted Cruz look like Lyndsey Graham, time enough then to make another change.

A little early, but our next SCOTUS nominee?

  3. leigh says:

Cruz was born in Canada. No help there.

  4. Ernst Schreiber says:

Or maybe Rubio is who we hope Cruz doesn’t turn out to be.

It’s too early to tell —even in the case of Rubio, I believe.

    Academic self-delusion

More than a third of the respondents said they would discriminate against the conservative candidate. One respondent wrote in that if department members “could figure out who was a conservative, they would be sure not to hire them.” Mr. Inbar, who volunteered for the Obama campaign in 2008, cautions that the finding reflects only what respondents said they would do — not necessarily what they actually would do in real life.

Let’s see, who was that German crankpot that no one believed he’d do what he said in real life?

I find it much more prudent to believe and never give them the chance…

  8. Bob Belvedere says:

Let us pray that you’re a prophet, Jeff.
