It’s like a very short play that explores the pain of longing.

    – Or a very long play that explores the pain in their shorts.

  3. B Moe says:

Napolitano was so pleased with her little play on words, “arms in the arms”.

    Poll question:
How much rope will the lying liers what lie have to spin before they finally hang themselves?

  5. McGehee says:

They have all they need, Danger — they’re just still working out how to use it without making an actual raaaaacist noose, because knowing how to tie an actual raaaaacist noose would be raaaaacist.

The streets are AWASH in guns, McGehee, and so this whole ruckus is a DIVERSION ginned up by the REPUBLICANS in this, the most ethical Wonce in history. I could have jailed Karl Rove any time I wanted.

The clip of Obama in 2007 denouncing Pres. Bush’s assertion of executive privilege making its way around yesterday has been primarily used to thrust home a charge of hypocrisy against Obama.

But if we stop to think about it a little, I think it shows us something else altogether — namely, that Obama mis-characterized, could not understand in fact, the reasoning the Bush administration used in their decision to act, because, as is typical of left politicians, Obama is not capable of thinking honestly from the point of view of his opposition.

But it shows this too: while Obama states Bush’s position incorrectly, he does manage to get his own position (precisely the position he falsely attributes to Bush!) exactly right. So, in that clip he has told the world how he views the meaning of executive privilege and precisely how he intends to use it, and now, has used it.

Obama Made Pre-Inaugural ‘Pledge’ on Stopping Guns to Mexico; Holder, Napolitano Worked Issue From First Month

It seems Obama was deeply committed to the programs he had no knowledge of until he heard about them “on the news.”

  9. McGehee says:

JHo, are you serious? Are you serious? We needed to ship these guns to Mexico to find out what was in them.

I think it turned out to be bullets.

  11. McGehee says:

Well, the only people who saw that coming were those teabag raaaaacists and who listens to them anyway???

Bean pies are sold by scary looking Nation of Islam guys. No thanks.

  19. palaeomerus says:

Hot dog pie has baked beans in it. I still see that stuff occasionally in my church potluck social nightmares.

  20. leigh says:

So I decided to look up a recipe for said bean pie. The description claims that it has a texture like pumpkin pie and is made with navy beans that are pureed and mixed with eggs, cream and spices. It is also likened to sweet potato pie.

I’ll take their word for it that it’s a tasty treat, but I’m not ever going to make one. I’d rather have sweet potato or pumpkin pie.
