AFP:
Russia’s Dmitry Medvedev hailed Barack Obama as “my new comrade” Thursday after their first face-to-face talks, saying the US president “can listen” — even if little progress was made on substance.
The Russian president contrasted Obama as “totally different” to his predecessor George W. Bush, whom he blamed for the “mistake” of US missile shield plans fiercely opposed by Moscow.
Yeah. That whole “peace through strength”-thing proved something of a disaster, right?
I weep for this country.
In fact, I double weep. Triple weep. Quadruple weep.
Cleanup on aisle America!
(h/t Dan)
It’s not going to get better. This is what a dirty socialist America is like. There won’t be change just an accretion of dirty socialisms until there are layers and layers and no one remembers which layer was the for real American one.
As to that hot air link. Just how much blatant, knowing lying do you suppose is going on in those journalists, twitter feeds. I’m betting one whole hell of a lot. What’s more I’m betting that the people who follow them expect the lies and applaud them. The rest of us, we never find out…
You know, one thing that I have never heard from anybody railing against the DEFENSIVE missile system, is why? Why should that “irritate” Russia? Is the argument imply, that it is “inflammatory”? BTW, I, too, weep for the country. I’m reading Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense” at the moment and am wondering when the exact moment was, that this country went off the rails.
I’m sure Obama was just doing what he thinks is best for the country. Those journalists, too. Everybody is entitled to his opinion. All opinions are equal. Please, let’s all try to be moderate and sober.
LOOK! RUSH LIMBAUGH! Attack!
At least the jury awarded Professor Walking Eagle (too full of shit to fly) his full professional worth: $1.00
“Obama was really picking something off the ground instead of bowing”
A roach.
It always works out so well when the Russian Government is allowed to write up the definitions of words for us. Ah, my fond memories of those heady days in the 60’s and 70’s. The newspeak flowing freely, unquestioned, unanswered, the freedom to be a slave. A return engagement coming?
It’s party time, commie style!
Baracky’s dirty socialist media has certainly gotten the message not to take any hard looks at the Saudi royal whores and their royal whore policies. Might could be this is to help frame and focus the climate change propaganda more better. There’s obviously some concern there.
“Obama was really picking something off the ground instead of bowingâ€
His dignity? I happen to be quite well versed and experienced in the nuance of that part of the world. That was a really big oopsie, to put it in the technical jargon.
At this moment they are only words. In the not to distant future though, they must become actions. Then what? Are the 52% willing and able to subjugate the other 48%?
I’m reading Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense†at the moment and am wondering when the exact moment was, that this country went off the rails.
According to meya, it was here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implied_powers
It may be one of the few things she is right about.
What sucks the most is this country has the government it deserves.
They all but said they would, Gulermo. Remember, Socialism really only takes the right people.
B Moe, can implied powers void their Constitution? Can Obama make a rock so big God can’t move it? These are the questions that try meya’s soul.
Well, at least there’s this:
“What sucks the most is this country has the government it deserves.”
NO. Me and mine don’t deserve this – and I suspect you and yours don’t either. Espousing that point of view is the first step in accepting all this as some sort of inevitable, “well, what can you do ” type of immutable situation. I am sure people in the 1930s that saw the absolute reach of the Federal Government into every aspect of life (a famous law school case on the reach of the Commerce Clause was a farmer being wracked for daring to eat wheat he grew himself…) managed to get at least some of that rolled back (unless the price controls and Industrial Boards come back).
My grandson was born this morning. I can’t help but wonder whether, by the time he reaches my age, there will be anything left recognizable of the great country that I love.
And I weep.
The country went off the rails when we forgot that “No taxation without representation” is true in the converse. The process of ignoring this began under Jackson, was furthered by Wilson, became mainstream under LBJ, and is now sacrosanct.
Aren’t we all comrades? Let’s be poor together! And now a song.
I’m not sure which of those news stories is worst. I think it’s the one about Ward Churchill though. Employment will recover and Obama will not be President forever. But our civilization is built on a few foundations, and enlightened scientific inquiry is one of them. If a University cannot require intellectual honesty, what do we have left?
More proof that many in Canada are mentally ill. Of course, there are plenty of mentally ill in the United States too.
Employment will recover at a vastly different ratio of government jobs to productive jobs.
Very true, Colonel John, we don’t deserve this, no one deserves this path that some have put us on. Because no good can come of this, in the end, there’s no lesson here, that shouldn’t have already been learned by the responsible parties
“This is a great victory for the First Amendment, and for academic freedom,†said his lawyer, David A. Lane.
I am sick of this guy and his lawyer invoking the 1st amendment. The first amendment gives this douchbag the right to say whatever crazy shit he wants. It does not absolve him from being held accountable for other misdeeds uncovered during the wave of media attention brought on by said crazy shit. This case had nothing to do the the first amendment. And Ward is a no talent ass clown.
The Ward Churchill decision is troublesome (to say the least) but don’t attack the jury for it. They only gave him a dollar. The whole idea of tenure is ridiculous for public institutions. If private institutions want to have it, fair enough, it is a contractual issue. They are public employees subject to the will of the people of the state.
Can I just give a big “HOLY FUCK MOTHER OF GOD!”
“But President Barack Obama wasn’t in a mood to hear them out. He stopped the conversation, and offered a blunt reminder of the public’s reaction to such explanations. “Be careful how you make those statements, gentlemen. The public isn’t buying that.â€
“My administration,†the president added, “is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.â€
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0409/20871.html
Comerade doesn’t mean “communist buddy” it just means “fellow” or “bud” in Russian (Tovarishch). However, in this case it’s probably more accurate than not, and Medvedev clearly views Obama as weak, malleable, and useful to Russian plans.
BTW in my comment 27 he is talking to CEO’s.
“Obama was really picking something off the ground instead of bowingâ€
Uh huh. They expect us to believe this one?
Paging Larry Craig. Please pick up the white courtesy phone. Paging Larry Craig.
Wait, don’t bother, Larry. You were literally in a restroom stall in the Minneapolis airport looking for gay sex. Doesn’t matter that Obama was figuratively looking for the same thing.
This too is from the article about Obama’s meeting with the CEO’s. HE WON’T LET THEM PAY THE MONEY BACK. Let me repeat that. He won’t fuckin let them pay the money back.
“JPMorgan’s Dimon spoke first. He began by complimenting the president on the economic team he’d assembled. And he said his industry needs to explain more directly to the American people that the economic recovery plans are already working. Dimon also insisted that he’d like to give the government’s TARP money back as soon as practical, and asked the president to “streamline†that process.
But Obama didn’t like that idea – arguing that the system still needs government capital.
The president offered an analogy: “this is like a patient who’s on antibiotics,†he said. “Maybe the patient starts feeling better after a couple of days, but you don’t stop taking the medicine until you’ve finished the bottle.†Returning the money too early, the president argued could send a bad signal.
Several CEOs disagreed, arguing instead that returning TARP money was their patriotic duty, that they didn’t need it anymore, and that publicity surrounding the return would send a positive signal of confidence to the markets.”
I’m willing to point some pitchforks at the Obama administration.
Ever since the “stimulus” and bailouts started under Bush, combined with the illegal immigration thing, I have been suspecting that the America I was born in, is dead.
Obama convinces me. I truly, honestly, feel like a person without a country.
I feel the need to compliment Obama on the completeness and utter subordinate posture in his bow. He succeeded in looking like a lackey.
Good enough Mitt?
We’ve just given up.
The stunting of our citizens’ foresight, education, and expectations has been completed after the exponentially increasing debasement of culture since the sixties. Literally nothing will rouse citizens from their sloth (and I’m not even referring to civil disobedience, merely a change of political mind) unless it materially threatens:
three hots and a cot
cable TV
Even the most incompetent twatwaffled government can provide the above items, and our current government is well on its way there. Do any of you know more than a handful of people who can even be bothered to look up anything that isn’t mentioned on TV shows? Bloom’s “The Closing of the American Mind” has now become “The American Mind: Closed Permanently.”
Barney Frank Outrage Alert!!

America is still good!
God Jeff, I didn’t read your close to the previous post. Man am I embarrassed for seemingly echoing your jab at Mitt.
All I can do is bow as deeply as I’m able and ask your mercy. Hey look, a half-smoked cigarette. Score!

Happy it is obvious he doesn’t want them to pay the money back then would be able to tell his socialist ass to go to hell. As long as he can say “Hey look at them they took TARP money.” he gin up outrage and take control. Wow if we only had a media that was out there protecting our freedoms instead of cheerleading this guy we might be able to stop this shit.
Sorry I am too pissed to type a coherent sentence after reading that crap. That comment wasn’t even legible.
Happy it is obvious he doesn’t want them to pay the money back because then they would be able to tell his socialist ass to go to hell. As long as he can say “Hey look at them they took TARP money.†he can gin up outrage and use that to take control. Wow if we only had a media that was out there protecting our freedoms instead of cheerleading this guy we might be able to stop this shit.
Krauthammer**:
The question then, is, “Will he have the drive to enforce his will at the point of a gun?” If not, this looks like fail.
How can they be forced to not pay back the money? They have a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders to not be compromised by a collaboration with a dirty socialist piece of shit hungarian muppet. They could easily get sued I think.
The question then, is, “Will he have the drive to enforce his will at the point of a gun?†If not, this looks like fail.
What is government? The very institution that legally enforces its wishes at the point of a gun.
“…its wishes…”?
But one made more interesting by way of how we’d then define the various ism’s. If Socialism is a kinder Communism, and Communism is Fascist nationalism with a gun, then I’d say there’s not enough difference in tone or intent or even in outcomes, to bother branding Obama anything other than lethal to liberty.
Like any of us are going to get a pass under the law from this point forward?
The differences are degrees, obviously. But the underpinnings should all be anathema to members of this constitutional republic.
i’m confused and contrite
calm in my comfy chair
can’t click my way outta this one
What’s between Obama and my pitchfork is the more relevant question. Alas, I have no pitchfork. Well, the 2010 elections are the next best thing. Out with them all.
Krauthammer’s tone strikes me as a nice middle ground between unadulterated honesty and Johnsonian bowing and scraping. But I like my tone better.
I’ve racked my pea-brain trying to place a referent to your “Johnsonian bowing etc” hf, but I’ve come up without one. Help me out hf?
How can they be forced to not pay back the money?
Satan has a strict no refunds policy. All sales are final. Once you’ve transferred the title to your soule, it’s a done deal, Charlie.
Any bets on this making the rounds of talking head TV shows?
I think it’s referring to Charles of the balls what are tiny and green.
Faust has got nothin’ on BarryO.
Ah yes, good, thank you maggie.
oh. maggie got it. I like Charles Johnson better than others as representative of that sort of robustly anemic opposition. Cause he’s such a weirdo.
I’m just not on the ball today.
What is that “bad” signal, we might ask? Is it — banks that make early repayment are healthy and possibly worthy of private investment — ? That other banks which cannot repay early are not in good shape, thus demonstrating the inefficacy of Obama’s Treasury’s approach to the problem thus far? Or, that some private corporations have the strength to escape the clutches of Obama’s Treasury?
The AFP propaganda also features this, btw…
I’m so over journalism.
59
He would also lose his impetus for his 3.6 trillion dollar budget and his lies about socialized healthcare being related to our economy.
There has been no small amount of talk that Obama’s admin may have to go back to Congress for yet more TARP/TALF money in a few months time. The bad signal could be any trouble early payoffs could engender for that potential/pending sales job the Obama admin will have to do on the hill.
Krauthammer is, as usual, totally wrong.
Income redistribution widens and hardens the gap between, roughly speaking, the working (poor and rich alike) and the wealthy — the aspirant and the already-there.
Obama is a tool of the latter (mostly).
Their “ultimate social value” is stasis.
And he’s on that shit.
The one it can’t avoid.
Some desire it, and the rest can’t do anything about it.
No one deserves it.
Thanks to Comrade Obama, I have laid six eggs in five days.
I think Americans are responsible for this present situation, is all.
They wanted it, they got it. And the rest didn’t stop it.
I choose not to participate in Commibama’s plans for my life. So there.
However it does make me wonder about how generations cycle through periods of history, and if a particular generation doesn’t have a shared experience in hardship is that gen more likely to make unwise choices?
“Their “ultimate social value†is stasis.”
BINGO!
Call them statist stasisists.
Their ultimate social value always seems to revolve around them fucking us.
What ever happened to Komrade Sugartits?
Lisa tired of us. It was hurtful, really, even though she was pretty gracious about it.
I do not think that it is possible to tire of Jeff G, happyfeet, Dan, LtC John, squid, BJ, O’Brain, Spies, OI, McGehee, kelly, sdferr, JHoward, RTO, maggie, MayBee, and the countless other wonderful people around her. If KKKomrade Sugartits tired of us, she was not the holder of tits of sugar that we believed her to be.
JD, per our foul-mouthed troll, she hates our racism… I rather think it would be very hard to come back here and defend that which she had urged on the rest of us.
Call them statist stasisists.
How about Stasi? It’s been used before.

The Levelers don’t know that because they have no grasp of history — they have only their supporting myths. They are fully convinced that they can do it right this time.

she’s missed, though. Also others but I remember them and then forget again. They just pop in my head sometimes and I can’t remember of I’ve seen them lately or not. Where’s Geezer and Mr. Cabin and Obstreperous I think might be missing but TMJ came back finally.
*if* I’ve seen them lately or not
Lisa tired of us. It was hurtful, really, even though she was pretty gracious about it.
Do you remember which thread, haps’?
Joe @ #26:
The whole idea of tenure is ridiculous for public institutions.
Ironically, Joe, tenure may be the one thing capable of saving universities from totally deteriorating into hyper-PC irrelevance. If a conservative academic can keep his mouth shut long enough to attain it, then tenure can protect him in an atmosphere that is otherwise toxic and dangerous.
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Obstreperous Infidel recently.
I don’t remember which thread. It was abrupt, as I remember it. Ok so OI is accounted for, but BBH is very milk carton. I saw MayBee at that lawyer guy’s place this morning. That’s always nice.
OI has been around, I’m sure of it.
——-
Maybee never came back. I miss her more than Lisa.
Had to think a minute. Big Bang Hunter. Yeah, he’s missed.
I haven’t seen Bender Bending Rodriguez lately, either. He’s missed, too.
Compare and contrast this Obamian gem and translation Maguire turned up to Epstein’s deft recitation of events here at Uncommon Knowledge. Gack.
MayBee … is she a casualty of thor? I don’t know I ever knew.
Rodriguez … you’re right. That’s been awhile. My friend T knows to tell you guys if I meet with dreadful misfortune.
I believe so, hf.
I think I remember BBH saying he was going to hang it up with the commenting for awhile way back in August or July it feels like. Bender Bending Rodriguez I thought I saw over at Althouse not too long ago, maybe the Reid vs. CJ Roberts thread?
Yeah, I’m here and there. It’s funny, and absolutely no knock on Dan, Darleen Sanity, or whomever else may be posting, but when Jeff posts, I tend to do far more reading of the great comments than commenting myself. Jeff’s been posting more, so there you have it.
SBP, I remember reading a comment of Bender’s on another blog recently. Maybe, as Sdferr said, it was Althouse’s. I’ll second missing BBH’s comments, too. I think he had enough of thor. Thor’s the definition of a paper tiger. I’m not sure why people let him bother them so. But it’s been good to see comments from TMJUtah recently. Welcome back.
Obama is neither a Doctor nor an Economist. He is a cheap tawdry Con man from Chicago who loves himself more than he loves Lenin, Marx, Stalin, Castro, Chavez and Mao. The willingness of America to let this ASS-HAT pretend to be President is mind numbing. Here’s the gig. We’ve got DumbObama the big eared clown for 4 years. His “Trajesty” could use what little brains God (not AllaH) gave him and delegate responsibilities to people who are capable, honest and ethical. Unfortunately “his Trajesty” doens’t recognize character ethics or morality as he’s really never been exposed to it.
oh. good. and also howdy.
a suggestion for the constitution
I believe that Lisa was distressed at how negative the commentariat was about the proposed Congressional apology for slavery. She seemed to take it very hard and was expressing shock and dismay. I think that was the last that I saw of her and I do miss her. She was funny and tough, really the sort of liberal commentator that could flourish in this place.
I second the missing of MayBee and BBH, as well as ahem. How about withheld? We didn’t have enough time with withheld and I would kill to see him vamp with hf. Log Cabin has been in and out so I think he’s still around. I talk to Geezer and he’s a little tired of the politics at the moment but he pops up every now and then and continues to read.
Oh and it’s great to see Ric back. I hope that he’s making progress in getting the financial ship floating. I have River Cocytus on my GMail instant and Twitter but he seems to have “meh’ed” about politics these days.
Let’s also take a minute to remember the gone but not forgotten burrhog. Godspeed, old friend.
The Levelers don’t know that because they have no grasp of history….
Might I provide a current example of this?

Stunning level of ignorance.
I miss the perkiness of her breasts. She was nice.
How’s that working out for us Cowboy? It is amazing how stealth liberals can avoid conservative vetting, but steath conservatives never seem to pop up on liberals. It is a pheromone thing, liberals ooze the stench of over ripe brie and unaccountability from their pores. They can spot their own.
I welcome better relations with Russia. Lit theory will benefit tremendously.
I’m friendly and generous. I offer to let people smell my finger and my money.
Welcome back nishi! Crazy woman who keeps it fresh.
I know, Joe, it’s difficult, and the process of weeding out conservatives begins long before the tenure period arrives. Hiring committees screen C.V.s for the usual code words that indicate like-mindedness, campus interviews are rife with seemingly innocuous comments meant to gauge the candidate’s politics.
I guess what I’m saying is that if a conservative can somehow get through that and survive to be tenured, then he can mitigate the liberal in-breeding. Without tenure, however, he would never last.
Obama was really picking something off the ground instead of bowing
Obama has a low stance, that’s what you’re saying?
Gotta sign off to drive home–one hour commute.
But, hey, if Obama gets his wishes, I won’t be able to afford gas much longer, so I’ll sleep in my office.
WIN-WIN!!!
Maybe it’s just me, but this whole “Obama won’t let them pay back the money” has the feel of a mob loansharking operation.
They don’t want the loan repaid, just the vig or not even that. This gives them the leverage to do whatever they wish. Strip out everything worth while and leave the real creditors, that they have taken for all they can hustle, an empty shell.
The economics of barbarians, rape, pillage, loot and move on to the next juicy target. Build nothing, destroy everything.
Paying back the money sends a bad signal, geoffb.
Electing Obama sends a bad signal, to me.
Don’t you believe it. Tenure isn’t absolute and no one knows the exceptions better than the witch-hunters. Even if a conservative manages to survive a review for cause, the mob can always be counted on to do the denouncers’ bidding.
I posted this at LGF. I hope it puts things into perspective.
Simply put, Charles, your wrong. In 1974, I wanted Pierre Trudeau to fail at implementing his socialist, statist policies for Canada because I knew that these were wrong for my country and wrong for me. He rang up an unbelievable debt that has taken generations to address. His bilingual policies continue to drain the public purse and divide the country. They accomplish nothing. His disdain for the military left the Canadian forces undermanned and underfunded for decades. His belief in the multicultural mantra has set up a farcical mosaic where misogynistic ideologies are provided the same legal protections and societal acceptance as others. He believed that all ideologies are equal. This is absurd but became the accepted standard. Most Canadians thought it would mean a few more pavilions at folk fest but it has morphed into something far more sinister. People were afraid to criticize PET because he was so intelligent, persuasive, and charismatic. The media loved him, leg tingles and all. He left a legacy of failure and an acceptance of mediocrity. All of this because many people, mostly his supporters, believed that it was wrong to wish that he failed in his attempt to destroy my country. If not for a few strong people who said directly that they not only wished that he would fail but took direct action to ensure it, Canada would have been irreparably damaged. As it is, it has taken more than thirty years to undo the damage that he wrought and we are still not done. So to you I would say this, pick your poison. If you are opposed to what he is doing then you are opposed to him. Period. If you are not prepared to imbed this view and defend it, welcome to the road that many Canadians have travelled over the last thirty years. I think it was one of your patriots, Thomas Jefferson, that said the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
For those of you who are interested in such things, Neo-neocon is currently having an ongoing tete a tete with Frank Marshall Davis’ son over her interpretation of Obama’s poem “Pop“, which Neo takes to be about Obama’s relation with Frank and not as many assume, Stanley Dunham, Obama’s granddad. Neo’s read of the poem, combined with her read of Obama’s Dreams from My Father makes for a pretty dark take on the Obama/Davis relationship. Davis’s son, Mark, for reasons that I suppose fairly obvious, makes it his business to scan the internet and defend his father from what he sees as scurrilous claims and accusations about Frank. It’s an interesting conversation to be sure.
At a glance, a nice thread, but no mention of a dancing ‘dillo w/ Patron breath.
sdferr, I just read that post and thread. Yes, it’s interesting.
I think neo-neocon should be a little more cautious in her interpretation though.
Re: Frank, failed writers suffer from sensationalism and bullshitterism much more than being overly honest.
And a young poet may not express anything very well.
I agree with you that neo has overbravely crawled out on a fairly weak limb there blowhard, but I’d still give her a certain credit for honesty where she knows she ain’t got the goods and a reasonable effort to hedge where she can only speculate (“How much Davis’s Communist ideology influenced Obama is unknown, and Obama purposely isn’t telling.”).
Looks to me as though Mark can pin her on the “fake autobiographical” admission of “actual experience” (“In the introduction to Sex Rebel, Mr Davis (writing as Greene) explains that although he has ‘changed names and identities…all incidents I have described have been taken from actual experiences'”). No one on Neo’s blog has the requisite knowledge of Davis’ political history to challenge Mark’s representation of it that I can see, though a few commenters seem to want to do just that notwithstanding their ignorance (making no judgement of fact for myself one way or the other, as I too am ignorant of FMD’s history vis a vis the CPUSA). Neo at least has the good sense to have stood off from that discussion and sticks to what she knows, namely psychology.
Agreed, sdferr. I’m a bit annoyed with any confident read of that poem too. For example, here’s a different take on the interaction in the poem:
Old Frank kind of bugs him. So the mirror O pulls out is an insult, “this is how you look, can’t you see it?”
As in, you’re spilling your booze all over your shorts.
The blood leaving the old guy’s face is a loss of face, the blood in O’s face is the flush of rhetorical triumph. So the old guy gets pissed after being insulted.
And the old dude says, “Man, you’re been spilling on yourself too.”
This could also be cigarette ashes (amber/ember) or something like that.
The stink being made to smell and share is simply, “don’t insult me, you’re in this same room with me doing shots.”
And the hug at the end is simple, it’s the awkward “I love you man” from a drunk.
Or not, who knows? The poem is clumsy. It takes some work to find cocaine and sexual abuse in it though.*
*Disclaimer: I don’t think old pervy commies should be allowed near children or young adults regardless.
Disclaimer the second: I also don’t think that progressives with fascist tendencies should be running the executive branch.
Disclaimer the third: I’ve been pretending before, I’m actually a pervy old commie with gin and ashes on my shorts, looking for a “I love you man” hug.
Any takers?
Anyone?
Okay, back to my final edit of Sex Rebel: White. Look for it at your local bookstore!
@114
Are there any other kind?
To be sure there isn’t certain sexual or psycho-sexual abuse in the poem. Nor cocaine, for that matter.
There is that odd mirror though. While the mirror serves a kind of mechanical purpose, (to pre-figure the reflection of himself he sees in the glasses), I for one didn’t land on your suggestion that he’d planned to have it on hand for a showdown with Pop, arriving on scene already rejecting the old coot. Thinking on it though, it fits much better than my wild assed guess, since the poem begins with Pop’s disdain and continues with a hard stare, unwelcome twitches and yelling unheeded. All in all, a much better fit.
Again, it’s a clumsy bit of verse so who knows… but, if I had to guess, there is no actual physical/real/concrete mirror. The mirror is just a flourish, a way of referring to a “can’t you see yourself?” kind of insult.
that one looked like it was getting lost. Vigilance is one of my favorite words these days.
One thing Obama claims old Frank told him looks to be right on the money:
Sdferr, hard to debate that. It’s a lesson he fully internalized apparently.
I just looked back at neo’s post and see that she only just now checked Mark’s links and learned that he’s Davis’ son (and that only after he finally proclaimed on her blog that Frank was his dad). So she’s been disputing right along without being aware who she’s up against.
Your intuition/knowledge of that fact, which you mentioned right off the bat, is what made the thread so interesting to me.
Btw, I’m not trying to give neo a hard time with this. I’ve always enjoyed her blog and there is a good chance her experience as a therapist grants her stronger insight than my non-experience as a literary theorist.l
Well, all I can say is the SNL parody of Governor Paterson is not that far off:
This latest shooting in Binghamton was bad, but the worst tragedy in the history of New York?
Sounds like you’re simply projecting your repressed anger over the Leafs mediocrity. Molson yourself to sleep and you’ll feel better tomorrow, maybe.

“politely brushed aside” may become the three word summary for foreign policy of this Adminsitration.
