Performance Czar Deposed; Daschle Done [Dan Collins; UPDATED]

For non-performance of happy, patriotic duty of every American to remit all owed taxes forthwith.

(h/t Techie)

Were it not Obama in the White House, I’d say that there was a disturbing trend emerging here.

More, with lotsa links, from Gateway

From the comments, it appears that Daschle has withdrawn.

I’m concerned about the message this sends to other candidates who may not come forward because they may not even be approved after paying their back taxes. That is why I’m proposing Obama nominee tax amnesty month.

As someone said the other day … they love higher taxes so much ’cause they don’t pay ’em.

  4. Carin says:

I’m just wondering, though … why all these Democratic politicians/advisers who represent the common folk, have “help”?

  5. Rob Crawford says:

This does suggest an interesting way to deal with Congressional votes on raising taxes: demand everyone who votes for a tax increase release their tax records. I suspect the correlation between tax dodgers and tax raisers would be quite high.

  6. VAHighlander says:

“I’m just wondering, though … why all these Democratic politicians/advisers who represent the common folk, have “help”?”

Probably because they can afford it, since they don’t actually have to pay all their income taxes like the rest of us.

Does Pharoah Obama hang around with anyone who isn’t a liar, cheat, thief, or nut? These hacks almost make Rodham look normal.

Does Pharoah Obama hang around with anyone who isn’t a liar, cheat, thief, or nut?

He’s a Chicago politician. So, no.

  25. Hold on a sec. This one could actually be a mistake. Even with penalties it adds up to under $1000. Not to mention, she seems to be embarrassed enough by it to step down.

It’s not like she didn’t pay taxes on her own income like the other two assholes. $300 bucks in unpaid unemployment is not $128000 in unpaid income tax or even $38000. Those other two fuckers should be dragged off and shot, especially that shitbird Daschle.

A Czarina who makes a $300 error I can handle, it’s the $128000 horse in the block and tackle that I worry about.

  26. Dan Collins says:

Yeah, LMC, but they’re worried about the cumulative effect. Someone in the MSM might get all weisenheimery about it.

  27. Pablo says:

Who ended up with that office once The One was inaugurated?

I’m not sure, but I think it ascended into Heaven.

  28. In the what? Oh God, that’s funny. Suuuuuure they will. C’mon, there’s a picture of a 23 year old kid smoking dope, on the internets!

    Much bigger fish to fry.

  29. Sdferr says:

Actually Mrs. Killefer’s action, stepping down, casts a terrible light on both Geithener and Daschle. It’s kinda like a public knifing that way, behaving with shame when neither of the other two even seem to notice the problem. I guess public morals are sort of like the famous Vanderbilt quote on affording a yacht, if you have to ask…..

  30. Daschle read my post. C-C-C-C-COOKIE POWER!

  31. Pablo says:

Good for him. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass, Tommy. At least you’ve still got lobbying.

It’s just like a regular czar, only has an enormous spoiler and a muffler the size of a stainless-steel wastebasket.

  34. Techie says:

Drudge is reporting that TommyBoy is withdrawing his nomination……….

I’m sure paralphie will be along shortly with some poll number or something.

  35. Sdferr says:

Thanks for that Techie. After 30 and 31 above I was beginning to wonder what was going on, as in “did something just happen?”

  36. happyfeet says:

Baracky really sucks at this putting together an administration thing. He should have thought about that before pissing all over that lady that’s governor of Alaska I think. Now he just looks like a feckless retard. This is why you don’t run for president when you’re a no-account unaccomplished dipshit I think.

  37. Techie says:

Barack’s doing a hell of a job organizing his community.

    A hell of a job.

  38. Sdferr says:

Since Obama was willing to “stand behind” Daschle just a couple of days ago, I suppose it’s too much to hope that Daschle won’t be allowed to take an White House job not requiring Senate approval?

  39. phreshone says:

Bye Bye Tom… the man who defines mendacious…

  40. Mr. Pink says:

What does it matter? Parsnips told me that only us right wingers care about this stuff so there. :(

  41. Pablo says:

Since Obama was willing to “stand behind” Daschle just a couple of days ago, I suppose it’s too much to hope that Daschle won’t be allowed to take an White House job not requiring Senate approval?

He was getting one of those too, something along the lines of Health Care Reform Czar. It appears that he’s backed out of both.

  42. Sdferr says:

That’s good news Pablo, should it prove out. I’ll wait to see, since this only mentions Health and Human Services Sec. I just don’t have the requisite trust for these people yet, I guess.

  43. happyfeet says:

It’s really surprising how sleazy the dirty socialists are what we handed our little country over to. Hypocritical redistributionist thugs. Jeez we’re in big trouble. Orwellian trouble. No wonder Baracky’s toning down criticism of Mugabe. He doesn’t have the moral standing.

  44. B Moe says:

This one could actually be a mistake. Even with penalties it adds up to under $1000. Not to mention, she seems to be embarrassed enough by it to step down.

Maybe it is because she is a she? Need to check with Amanda on this one.

  45. Matt says:

Obama is performance. Why does there need to be a Czar in place to tell him so.

He will not fail. We will not let him. Yes we can !

  46. Pablo says:

Sdferr, there’s a letter being quoted where Daschle says he won’t be part of the health care reform, so it seems he’s out of both. I think taking the WH gig would be a PR disaster after the HHS withdrawl. Baracky isn’t dumb enough to keep him on, I don’t think.

Has anyone else noticed that Robert Gibbs seems to be a schmuck? Like Scott McClellan but without the suave charm?

  47. Carin says:

    Still no news Geezer.

Dan, I’m laughing so hard about that Obama nominee tax amnesty month.

  48. Techie says:

Barack’s too busy waiving his own lauded rule about lobbyists to worry about vetting.

HotAir lists his “exceptions” to date, and guess what! He’s waiving his own rules on the scale of about ONCE PER DAY.

    http://hotair.com/archives/2009/02/03/the-list-of-lobbyists-in-the-obama-administration/

Great Googly-moogly, I sure hope Alphie comes buy and posts some random poll number. I’d hate to think that The One Lightworker is intentionally obtuse or something……….

  49. Sdferr says:

I agree with you on the public relations aspect of the thing Pablo.

But the hauteur flowing from those precincts doesn’t give me any confidence that they will get it. There are too many examples of their failure on that front already in place. (Rev. Wright, crazy uncle, skate. Bill Ayers, some neighbor guy, skate. Tony Rezko, oh misjudgment, skate. etc. etc.)

  50. mojo says:

What is this world coming to when even one of the special people can’t be forgiven for some minor felonious oversight? I ask you.

Next you’ll be tellin’ me that Skippy can’t be Governor, not ever!…

  51. mojo says:

Oh, and what’s-her-name, the ex-EPA queen-bitch-dragon-socialist, is now the energy empress, thank you very much.

Seems “Tsarina” didn’t poll so well.

  52. nikkolai says:

Where does actus come down on all this bad news? Surely she has a poll or something.

  53. Techie says:

Don’t worry, Tommy. You’ll always have Vanity Fair.

  54. Sdferr says:

You had it right Pablo, from Politico:

Daschle spokeswoman Jenny Backus said he also would step down from heading up the newly created White House office of health care reform – a title he was to have in addition to being HHS secretary

    Good call.

  55. guinsPen says:

That is why I’m proposing Obama nominee tax amnesty month.

Well sure, that clears thor, but do we really need a Secretary of Stupid?

  56. thor says:

  57. happyfeet says:

  61. guinsPen says:

    We lurvs ice cream.

  62. Slartibartfast says:

Blue Bunny ice cream sucks ass. I’d just as soon go without.

Blue Bell, now, that’s some decent stuff.

  63. happyfeet says:

Blue Bell! When I was in Texas I got me some of the white chocolate almond right before it was gone for the year. That one’s my favorite and we would have it every Christmas when I was little and sometimes I would let other people in my family have some. If they were nice.
