I am having my typical inner conflict at times like these when I am trying to make myself remember that it is only the radical, fundamentalist Muslems we need to be at war with, but it is getting really hard to rationalize. Don’t get so worked up there Fred. While yes, the story of algebra is complicated an it’s creation isn’t entirely attributable to muslim mathematicians there isn’t a positive need, I think, to overlook the genuine contributions to math that they have made (centuries long gone by, I might add).
