NY State Assemblyman: Dem’s first bill called for confiscation of “assault weapons” and high cap mags

via Doug Ross. From Assemblyman McLaughlin’s Facebook page: Here it is. This is the video where I was asked to keep the Democrat proposals for the NY SAFE Act away from the public. This list was given to me by a colleague and it is not confidential. This bill was an attack on the 2nd amendment and the Democrats clearly wanted to dismantle the work of the Founding Fathers. None

Gun Appreciation Day

Varmints beware. Of course, as a CCW holder, every day for me is gun appreciation day.    And I still think a million gun march would be most effective.  But hey:  it’s the thought that counts.  So do what you can. (Incidentally, my carry piece, a subcompact Beretta PX4 Storm chambered in .40 which comes standard with a factory magazine that holds ten rounds, in my case, of hot Hornady Critical

Questions that should be asked of NY lawmakers

First off, doesn’t any admission that a failure to exempt police officers from magazine size restrictions is a problem with the hurried-through anti-gun legislation (because, to quote one state senator, “you can’t give more ammo to the criminals”) suggest that the law itself is intended to make sure that only law-abiding citizens have less cartridge capacity in their firearms than do criminals?  And given that the police are second-responders (the

“House GOP ready to raise debt limit for three months”

“Dear Casey, “My friend John is really in a pickle. First, he agreed to raise taxes on nearly every American in order to avoid being seen as raising taxes on every American, in a brilliant and savvy show of statesmanship. And now he’s being asked to increase the nation’s debt limit, even though last time he agreed to do so the US suffered a credit downgrade, and even though the

the racisty racism of racisty right-wing racists revealed!

Turns out cracking the code is easy:  if it’s said or done by someone either on the right or by some group perceived to defend right-wing causes — like, for instance, taking action to prevent executive edicts that seek to replace a legislative process, or protecting second amendment rights — it is racist.  The particular verbiage doesn’t even matter.   Hence, “nullification” is code for “state’s rights,” itself code for “ain’t

“Holder Begs Court to Stop Document Release on #FastandFurious”

They’re all about the transparency, you see. Besides:  if they’re going to talk about straw purchases and dead children in an effort to take away our gun rights, how would it look if they had to admit that they are the straw purchasers whose programs lead to the death of children, civilians, and border patrol agents? Or, to put it another way, how would it look if they really are

“Dem Rep. Jim Moran: The Problem With American Society Is ‘Older White Guys’…”

Ah, old white dudes. Can’t live with ’em, can’t have your plumbing fixed, your taxes done, or your children photographed with Santa, without ’em. But there is a solution to the persistent American problem of older white people:  gulags.  Or death panels.  Sure, the spry illegals you replace them with will give Santa a slightly more swarthy look, but think of the upside:  it’d be like the Menendez brothers killing
