As Nick Schulz points out in his Tech Central Station piece, “Scientific Goring,” for former Veep and environmental ideologue Al Gore, oftentimes “a visionary one minute is anti-American the next.”

It seems Mr. Gore’s latest defamation campaign — against Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, the new head of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (UNIPCC) — has hit a serious snag, though, owing in large part to Gore’s own praise of Dr. Pachauri (which Dr. Pachauri reminds Mr. Gore of in this letter to the Times editors). Pretty damning stuff.

Which is why increasingly, Gore’s arguments on behalf of the enviromental movement are hurting the movement’s very credibility. Such as it is.
