it is now Ithaca City School District (ICSD) policy to school local youngsters in a ‘politically correct orthodoxy whose sole commandment is Thou Shalt Not Offend.’

The Ithaca City School District has recently mandated that elementary school students in the first and second grades receive an actual grade on how well they “respect others of varying cultures, genders, experiences, and abilities.” Now, six-year-old Johnny can get an extra quarter from mommy and daddy just by being ‘tolerant.’

Attempts by social engineers to “level the playing field” (read: pander to the lowest common denominator) are getting more and more ambitious, wouldn’t you say? Now, nannycratic schoolboard barnacles are actually implementing entire academic disciplines around the concept of “the hate-free zone.” This is a full-frontal attack on the natural tendencies of boys. Not only is it bad policy (rooted as it is in the dubious theoretics of identity politics and pseudo-science), but it’s likely developmentally dangerous for lots of kids.
