The International Herald Tribune reports that under pressure from the US and India, Pakistan has arrested Maulana Masood Azhar, the leader of the Jaish-e-Muhammed organization, blamed by Indian officials for a recent attack on the Parliament.
Mr. Azhar formed Jaish-e-Muhammed after he and two others were released from an Indian prison in exchange for 155 passengers of an Indian Airlines plane that was hijacked to Kandahar in December, 1999. Indian and Western intelligence agencies believe he has links with the Taliban and with Pakistan
