Brian Linse takes the Instapundit to task for treating gun show “loopholes” lightly. Both Linse and Reynolds refer to this AP article by Melissa Robinson.

Linse writes:

He bought guns at a Michigan gun show, and was caught trying to export them to a terrorist organization […]

[…] It is also a fact that a Jihad training manual found in Kabul instructs terrorists to use US gun law loopholes to purchase guns in America, and to get training on them while they’re here. These are not fantasies concocted by anti-gun legislators as an excuse to take my guns away. Fuck! Why is it so hard to understand that there is a problem here? Making fun of serious matters like this is not persuasive argument. It is, at best, preaching to and entertaining the choir. With wackos like the Brady Campaign on one side, and “gun nuts” on the other, no progress on gun laws will be made. The answer is in reasonable debate somewhere in the middle.
