I’m just glad the old guy is still kicking, and looking as good as he is. He may want to start planning a 100th birthday show like George Burns wanted to do.

Now that we learning Paul Ryan is who we thought he was, i.e. John Boehner sans Boehner’s tear-streaked orange glow, it’s occurred to me that if the Democrats were smart, they’d promise to let the Republican leadership keep their larger offices and staffing perks –regardless of which party was in the Majority. My guess is the GOP would happily embark on a frenzy of “bipartisanship,” secure in the knowledge that elections wouldn’t have any consequences for the only things they truly seem to care about.

We need to dust off and Article V this country from orbit.

I like my Aliens allusion better, but yeah, you definitely want your powder dry and your bullets married up with cartridge and primer.

Since an Article V convention will nuke the country.

Jeff bait: reason #4987 why LitCrit theorists should be killed right after we’re done killing all the lawyers.

“A more focused study, however, is needed to truly understand that the Star Wars films are actually the story of the radicalization of Luke Skywalker.”
