Obama Administration apparatchiks will never let science stand in the way of fundamentally transforming the American military.
Navy Secretary Ray Mabus on Friday criticized a Marine Corps study that showed that female Marines in a mixed unit did not perform as well as men in several key areas.
“They started out with a fairly largely component of the men thinking this is not a good idea, and women will not be able to do this,” he said in an interview with NPR.
“When you start out with that mindset, you’re almost presupposing the outcome,” he said.

The fault, as seen by the promoters of doomed-to-fail experiments, is always theirs who expected said experiments to fail.
If only they had believed, the experiment would have succeeded!
How do you think helicopters fly?
Now they just have to convince the enemy.
Marines say Navy Secretary Ray Mabus needs a map to find his fat chair-coddled ass in a bright room.
Jar-head: hard and empty
Ray Maybus, 2 years on the U.S.S. Little Rock, during which time she spent 6 months in drydock then back to harrowing duties in the Mediterranean. Truly a military figure in the mold of John Paul Jones and Bull Halsey.
I never cease to be amazed at the tyros 0bama selects for positions such as this, and the feckless Congress that rubber stamps the appointments.

Why do you marines hate science?

Female Marines have always been the equal of Male Marines.

I’m not sure why (or if) Maybus is surprised by this.

From the link:
The Marines last addressed the upcoming pullups standard on Jan. 24, reiterating that pullups “will become the single standard measure of physical fitness,” but adding that the requirement would be delayed until at least June 30 as the Corps continued to collect data on how well female Marines would adapt physically to the new standard. At the time, officials said that 55 percent of women had been unable to complete the minimum standard of three pullups to pass the PFT.
“You don’t mind living in a figment of another man’s imagination?”
Bumblebees glued to the rotor blades. Duh.

Moms Mabley tweeted, “The only thing a female Marine can do for me is bring me a male Marine.”
Navy Secretary = Political appointee = Obama yes-man = ignore
No prob, bob.
[…] Darleen Click on Protein Wisdom: Navy Secretary Ray Mabus says Marines who reported problems with female Marines are liars […]
As I’ve pointed out on other sites, this was neither a study nor an experiment. It was an order to create evidence to support a decision that had already been made. Clearly, Marines are not as nuanced as their betters, so when they actually perform a study they were ordered to do, naturally the results may not be in line with what the party apparat had promised. Expect commanders to be relieved due to “lack of confidence” some 4-6 months hence.
What’s your basis for this conclusion?
