9/11 #NeverForget [Darleen Click]

I dropped the twins off at junior high this morning and was happy to see the lawn outside lined with small American flags. Red, white and blue pennants topped the fencing and a large group of kids were still affixing flags and making U S A in the chain link fence with red/white/blue plastic cups.

Gives me a small glimmer of hope that the Leftist forces in this country may not fully succeed in burying this event or twisting it into something America deserved.

It’s bad enough that rewarding Islamism, instead of eradicating it, is Obama’s mission. Aided and abetted by Leftstream media.

Of course some people are impatient with those who still recall the shock of 9/11; the same people were crowding the message boards of internet sites on the afternoon of the attacks, eager to blame everyone but the hijackers. They hate this nation. In their hearts, they hate humanity. They would rather cheer the perfect devils than come to the aid of a compromised angel. They can talk for hours about how wrong it was to kill babies, busboys, businessmen, receptionists, janitors, fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers – and then they lean towards you, eyes wide, and they say the fatal word:

But.

And then you realize that the eulogy is just a preface. All that concern for the dead is nothing more than the knuckle-cracking of an organist who’s going to play an E minor chord until we all agree we had it coming.

I’ve no doubt that if Seattle or Boston or Manhattan goes up in a bright white flash there will be those who blame it all on Bush. We squandered the world’s good will. We threw away the opportunity to atone, and lashed out. Really? You want to see lashing out? Imagine Kabul and Mecca and Baghdad and Tehran on 9/14 crowned with mushroom clouds: that’s lashing out. Imagine the President in the National Cathedral castigating Islam instead of sitting next to an Imam who’s giving a homily. Mosques burned, oil fields occupied, smart bombs slamming into Syrian palaces. We could have gone full Roman on anyone we wanted, but we didn’t. And we won’t.

Which is why this war will be long.

The jihadists demonstrate they haven’t given up, even as many ostensible Americans have.

I’ll be asking the boys at the dinner table tonight what they covered about 9/11 at school. This long war may soon be theirs and we should be damned to hell if we hamstring them with pretending it is not an ideological war and some of their most cunning enemies are right here at home.

Who knew that 9/11 would spell the beginning of our internal demise rather than a strengthening of resolve?

In the alt-universe, Al Gore wins in 2000. He reacts to 9/11 exactly as Bush does: invades Afghanistan, then Iraq. Does the Left lose its mind and tear the country to shreds? No, no it doesn’t, and neither does the Right reflexively opposed Gore simply because he’s wearing the wrong color jersey.

The immense, unbridgeable chasm between left and right doesn’t open; the opportunistic infection of Zinnian self-loathing does not enter the broken skin; the war efforts aren’t hamstrung by politicians and hangers-on who are determined to take down the president by any means necessary.

But Obama still might have happened, and with it the infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood, Valerie Jarrett’s Iranian boosterism, and a new wave of anti-Jewish sentiment that will end exactly as well as it always does: with murders and holocausts.

Recently, Glenn Beck said that a rabbi told him that rabbis are not allowed to teach the book of Jeremiah to gentiles except for two chapters: 7 and 27.

    Chapter 7

3 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

4 Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, are these.

    5 For if ye thoroughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbor;

6 If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:

7 Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.

8 ¶Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.

    9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;

10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?

The fact that the temple of the Lord stands in Jerusalem will not save you, says God, because look what I did in Shiloh (v.12), where the Ark of the Covenant was housed: I laid them waste, and I will not spare you either, unless you repent.

This is America, some say; we’re different. And yet one-third of our putative brethren clamor to elect a SECOND king to replace the first, in hopes that he will crush THEIR enemies this time, just as we were crushed by the current king.

    Chapter 27

    4 … Thus shall ye say unto your masters;

5 I have made the earth, … and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

6 And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant ….

7 And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.

8 And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the Lord, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

9 Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:

10 For they prophesy a lie unto you….

11 But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the Lord….

Accept the yoke of bondage or die, says God. The Hebrews had become so corrupt, so wicked, that it would have been immoral to let them continue on their path, so God used Babylon’s power to tear them down. Don’t listen to those “wise men” who say it can’t happen here, for they prophesy a lie unto you.

Are we on the verge of this? When the Zombie Apocalypse comes (currency crash, EMP, etc), will we fall into the hands of our enemies: the South to Mexico, the West to China, and the East to Islam?

We’ll certainly deserve it, but that means fighting again for our freedom against occupiers, not against foreign powers across the sea. The Chinese army with its sheer numbers makes the British look like pikers.

That’s the work of generations, not of decades. Those who lose their liberty will not live to see it again.

That’s us. We’re the ones. We’re the ones who failed to keep the Republic, Mr. Franklin.

We don’t deserve the Sweet Meteor of Death: we deserve to reap every last bit of what we’ve sown.

So, if I noticed the hashtag #Mecca currently trending on Twitter, and then, in an entirely unrelated event started humming “Karma Chameleon”, does that make me a Bad Person?

    Trick question. Already was one.

The SF radio station I listen to waiting for traffic reports in the morning interviewed US congresscritter Jackie Speier this morning. They talked of Iran deal and Planned Parenthood and Jackie regurgitated the standard talking points on both.

    No one brought up 9/11.

  5. cranky-d says:

9/11 is a problematic subject. Best to not mention it.

Now I sort of look dumb. So, situation normal.

  11. palaeomerus says:

You know what? I used the “p”word p-matic in my “7 friends” snark thing.

  12. Darleen says:

Cranky, which comment do you want to retire? I can do that! :-)

  13. palaeomerus says:

    test problematic test

  14. palaeomerus says:

Darleen, I just included the p-word in a test post and it did not publish. I think that is our culprit. We are spam filtering for p-r-o-b-l-e-m-a-t-i-c .

  15. Darleen says:

Thanks Palaeo … I just removed “problematic” from the banned word list. Nice detective work.

I was listening to the local talk show guys a little earlier, talking about the rainbow at the new trade center yesterday, which I saw, then they said today a crane that was working in Mecca was stuck by lightning, exploded, and fell over on the grand mosque, killing like 180 people.

Is that true? I so want it to be true.
