We are the Lorg and you are now part of our cultural struggle.. Your biological distinctiveness will be vastly enhanced or altered according to the needs of our narrative. Your technological distinctiveness will be discarded to preserve Gaia. Your individual distinctiveness will be decomposed into a false consciousness of internalized misogyny, racism, or other cultural defect and replaced by random heaps of snarled critical studies jargon. You will services us and the narrative viewed through the lens of the dialectic will replace your understanding of reality. Your suffering is irrelevant unless it advances the struggle because you are irrelevant unless you advance the struggle. Also you might want to read the Crucible or Metamorphosis and 1984 at some point. And the Handmaid’s Tale. Also Silent Spring might be useful. Or The Population Bomb. COFFEE IS CRUELTY. MEAT IS MURDER. SMOKING IS GROSS. HIPSTERS ARE REALLY SMART AND THE ONLY REAL ART IS REVOLUTIONARY IN ITS OUTLOOK. Always root for the underdog except when we tell you different. Football is a racist gladiator sport. Wear Che shirts…

Trying like hell to draw strength from my ancestors (who also dissented with the fed on marriage) and all the other people in history who stood up against a tidal wave and were nevertheless flattened.

Yeah, I’m in the middle of the Bonhoeffer book (Metaxas). His confreres can be excused for their blindness only because they didn’t have the example of Nazi Germany (and Stalin’s USSR, and Mao’s China, and the Khmer Rouge, and Castro’s Cuba, and Rwanda, ad infinitum) to point to.

Germany’s Jews went from being an innocuous part of society to being “the problem” to being boycotted and excluded to being visibly tagged to being mass executed within about a decade.

Something happens that fast—a heretofore innocuous segment of society suddenly needs purging—and you’re not dealing with a movement that will acquit itself well in the annals of history.

    I actually don’t want to become a pariah—who would?—but I will if I have to.

Just don’t be one of the people who forces me into that position, K? That’s all I ask.

Anyone else notice that government worked rather quickly to get those lights on the White House?

It’s almost like they had a strategy and planned in advance.

    In the dock.

  7. Darleen asks: Where will you be when the heresy trials begin?

I have a few more related questions, courtesy of The Clash:

When they kick at your front door
    How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head
Or on the trigger of your gun

    When the law break in
    How you gonna go?
    Shot down on the pavement
    Or waiting on death row

Darleen, I’m hoping to follow the advice of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and fight when they show up to take me.

This piece has been linked and mention made of Christians as “internal exiles.”

I have long ago read a piece concerning “internal exile.” It exists only on the internet as a comment I put up in 2014 of just a part of it, so I link to that rather than repost the long quote here.

  10. From an interview with A. Solzhenitsyn, conducted in 2006 by Daniel Kehlmann [translation by Google]:

…Simple honesty is not a sufficient response to the evil in the world. The evil in the world is not merely madness or stupidity. There is a solid core with a vector-spreading influence. By contrast, you have to actively fight. And evil is so strong because the majority of the human heart from him affected or is infected with it.

    I hope this link works:

If not, I have saved the interview in Word and PDF formats and can send it to anyone who wishes to possess a copy.

Blake, I think you got it wrong. You fight before they show up to take you.

  12. Ernst Schreiber says:

What Solzhenitsyn was talking about was the idea that if instead of quaking in fear at the sound of jackboots in the night, hoping that the goon squad was coming for your neighbor and not you, people had fought back and enough good squad goons got killed in the process of trying to take your neighbor away, the jackbooted thugs would stop coming.

    yea been reading hoffer

-The quality of ideas seems to play a minor role in mass movement leadership. What counts is the arrogant gesture, the complete disregard of the opinion of others, the singlehanded defiance of the world.”
