“Person Putting “Whites Only” Stickers Around Austin Turns Out to be Liberal Social Justice Warrior” [Darleen Click]

Oh, didn’t see that coming …

It turns out that the person who has been posting “whites only” stickers around Austin, Texas is actually a liberal “social justice warrior” looking to bring attention to the racism of whites.

For days no one knew who had posted them and why could only be speculated.

The answer has been solved today: the stickers were posted by Austin lawyer Adam Reposa who did it to point out the “gentrification” of Austin and the displacement of minorities.

“They’re getting pushed out, and pretty quick. This area of town is turning into white’s only,” Reposa said in a video uploaded to YouTube. “Not by law like it used to be, and everyone’s going to jump on, ‘that’s racist!’ ‘that’s racist!’ Man, this town, the way s**t works is racist!

“And I knew I could just bait all of y’all into being as stupid as you are. Just allowing the issue to be framed in the most simple way: ‘oh, he said an offensive term. Let’s not worry about the actual condition of the way things are. Let’s worry about an offensive term. And that’s how they got it! They got it sewed up.”

He continued, “And they got this poor girl coming out here talkin’ ’bout, ‘it hurt my feelings!’ Man, who cares about your feelings, man? Seriously?”

“I don’t give a f*ck,” he added.

Can you feel the LOVE?

This supposed attorney engaged in vandalism; prosecute him.

Thing is, Mr Reposa is combitching about “gentrification.” But gentrification means better-off people, usually white, moving back into distressed urban neighborhoods and fixing up run-down housing . . . and that normally means white people moving into areas with significant, often majority, minority populations. Such people are the antithesis of racism, being willing to risk their money to move into minority neighborhoods.

Moreover, they make their black and Hispanic neighbors wealthier: as gentrification proceeds, it increases the market value of the homes which haven’t been restored yet.

But it destroys a liberal tourist area! Where will the bleeding hearts go to experience some poverty tourism with raggedly kids, the thrill of maybe witnessing some drug transactions, wanton violence and street theater??

One of my mother-in-law’s friends lives in a “distressed” part of Chattanooga — carjackings, drive-by shootings, the works. She and her family have a home with no mortgage, but they can barely pay the property tax and still feed and clothe the kids.

M-i-L considered giving them the house she used to live in, nicer area, etc., but the property taxes would be beyond them.

There is a legitimate downside to gentrification for established residents; higher property values mean higher taxes. If her neighborhood gentrified, they could sell out before the city seizes it, but where could they afford to move to?

That said, most anti-gentrification activists do seem to want blighted areas to just stay blighted, which isn’t any help either.

But they tend to use the more preferred term “authentic.”

Thus the only saving grace of California – Prop 13.

Which every generation of Leftist thugs in Sacramento try to get rid of…

    Greetings:

Something akin, but scarily different, if I may.

I’m still serving my deportation to the San Francisco Bay area, living several soviets south of what the locals for some arcane reason refer to as “The City” with two capitals no less. SInce the federally mandated analog to digital TV signal conversion, the number of foreign language TV stations broadcasting in the area has significantly increased.

Last evening, while doing a channel-surf, I came upon an Asian (probably Chinese) commercial that showed an apartment building window with a small sign in it that read “Whites only”. The Asian narrator was then approached by a couple of Asian adults and a couple of Asian children (probably meant to be a family) whom he then led into the building in some kind of triumph.

And, this here being the kicker, the commercial was put out by HUD, the federal Housing and Urban Development agency.

It seems to me, and I’d be willing to bet my First Holy Communion money, that nothing like this happened and thus seems to me to be anti-white propaganda being put out with our tax dollars.

Reposa is a sociopath. Society at large has nothing to do with it, he hates, and finds expression for his hatred of The Dreaded Other, in this case Honkeys.

That HUD commercial sounds like it was dreamed up in a college humanities course, where they teach that Jim Crow is alive and well, but never ever mention who was behind the real thing.

I’m sure that all the melanin-enriched people who saw those stickers were cheered by them.

They couldn’t possibly have wondered if white people posted that stuff in earnest. And that couldn’t possibly mess with their heads in a negative way.

Nope. Everyone saw those stickers and immediately recognized them as an anti-gentrification campaign.

  12. dicentra says:

And their property taxes. People are forced to move out when they can’t pay them.

Successful people were evil when they left the cities, they are evil when they return. I sense a pattern.

  14. Drumwaster says:

Every single time — and I mean EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. — you see such obvious signs of racism, it has always — and I mean EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. — been faked by a liberal trying to make white people look bad.

So who are the real racists?

  15. LBascom says:

Gotta disagree Drumwaster. There is a much and increasing obvious racism of the not faked kind directed towards white people by ‘folk’ indoctrinated to sincerely believe white people ARE bad. And not just by Sharpton, Holder and Obama neither. Jay Z probably has more real propaganda success than any political figure.

  16. palaeomerus says:

If you won’t commit the crimes that leftist theory says you will commit then the left will commit those crimes for you and then blame them on you.

To a leftist BULLSHIT is king.

[…] Austin Chronicle via Legal InsurrectionIn addition to the declaration, “exclusively for WHITE PEOPLE,” the signs supposedly limit “a maximum of 5 colored customers” and allow only “colored BOH [back of house] staff accepted.”While I obviously have no idea who printed the stickers, they are supposedly professional-quality and the shops they were posted on all claimed vandalism. There is a certain degree of history with rabid claims of racism in the modern world that needs to be taken into account. Whenever I see an incident like this, I find myself asking… cui bono? who benefits?Dawnna Dukes was remarkably fast to jump on this, and started by blaming the shop owners rather than the vandals. Legal Insurrection doesn't connect the dots explicitly. I can't say that Dawnna Dukes was personally involved in any way.But I do hope some of the stores have video surveillance.UPDATE: The stickers appear to have been placed by a social justice warrior.
