“What can we get for you and John Kerry?” [Darleen Click]

Also: Can we question the timing?

A new poll shows about 80% of Americans think President Barack Obama is “personally” responsible for at least some of the issues with the medical care provided to former soldiers by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Washington Post-ABC News poll, released Tuesday, found 38% of respondents viewed Obama responsible for a “good” or “great” amount of the VA’s woes; another 41% said Obama was responsible for “just some” of the controversy. That makes for 79% of voters who lay at least some of the blame for the scandal with the president.

Well, I think that the biggest problem we have is that the system itself, if we have a dominant branch, simply begins to shut down in terms of the safeguards. People don’t seem to understand that the separation of powers is not about the power of these branches, it’s there to protect individual liberty, it’s there to protect us from the concentration of power. That’s what is occurring here. You know, I’ve said it before, Barack Obama is really the president Richard Nixon always wanted to be. You know, he’s been allowed to act unilaterally in a way that we’ve fought for decades.

  1. Don’t forget Hillary Clinton too. What Difference Does It Make?

  2. Can we question the timing?

We can, and should, be questioning everything about this deal; and that’s only for starters! It makes me ill to think about it, but perfectly captures the essence of Obama’s failed foreign policy.

Millions for tribute, but not one penny for liberty…

  3. ClownDisaster used his red-flag expression “Period” again yesterday while speaking in Poland in defense of his “exchange” of TheTalibFiveSoftServeIceCreamerJihadis for WithHonorAndDistinctionBowe, going just a bit (Bob Uecker voice) further, adding emphasis to that emphatic “Period” another bloodyred-flag: “Full Stop”.

See, it’s an absolute good that WithHonorAndDistinctionBowe returns simply because he returns. Got that? Doesn’t matter how many die from consumption of the SoftServeIceCreamers’ products. That’s got nuttin’ to do with it. Focus, peons! Pay no attention to the emptying prison in Cuba.

  4. The Republican establishment stands with Obama.

  5. Wow geoffb, and to think people accuse Harry Reid of mild dementia.

  6. I’m hoping the final count turns up about 3,000 more votes for McDaniel against none for Cochran.

  7. As with John Kerry, swiftboating Bergdahl (spit) means “telling the truth about him.”

Any old hoo, I’d like to know if the prisoner swap (although, I’m giving Begdahl the benefit of a doubt about whether or not he was actually a prisoner) idea originated with the Taliban or Bergdahl.

  8. Soldier Recounts Deadly Search For Bergdahl After He Deserted…

  9. Q: “What can we get for you and John Kerry?”

A: “We would each like to have a SoftServeIceCream. Fetch them, and be quick about it, peasant.”

  10. Don’t forget that we spent a lot of lives working to capture those five goatfuckers, too, so Bergdahl’s traitor’s bill has to include all of those lives, not to mention the half dozen who died looking to rescue his deserter’s ass.

I’d read their names to him over the speaker in his cell on a continuous loop after his life sentence for desertion, and he’s lucky there wasn’t a Formal Declaration, because the penalty for desertion in a Time of War is a final smoke and a black bag over the head while a handful of his fellow soldiers get some close-range target practice. Unless it’s a short drop and a quick stop, Saddam-style.

  11. I dissent Drumwaster, from attributing the traitor’s bill to WithHonorAndDistinctionBowe, since the bill of sale for the SoftServeJihadis belongs solely to the C-in-C, our one, our only, ClownDisaster his royal self. That’s apart from those lost lives and wounded men which are directly attributable to the search for WithHonorAndDistinctionBowe, however.

  12. ‘Obama’ Administration: ‘America does not negotiate with terrorists, but we do’.

Duh!…of course you do – after all, you’re not Americans.

[This is the reason you will often see me use the phrase ‘the Left In America’: the Left are in The United States, but they are not of The United States.]
