Bolton blasts Obama Adminstration for its hostility toward Israel
And though his straight-talking mustache, Regis, remained relatively quiet during this particular interview, it was evident, to the careful observer (and those who know Regis well) that he was all but itching to throw down a few fingers of Scotch, seek John Kerry out, and bitch slap the WASP right out of him.
Ted Cruz — who more and more speaks for the conservative base and remaining Reaganites — has called for Kerry to resign over his veiled threats that Israel, should it not capitulate to Mr Kerry’s “peace deal” proffering, risks being labeled an “apartheid state” (Zionism, one supposes, must now be a “race,” much in the way Hitler thought of the Jews) and could find itself under threat of attack, not only by way of a 3rd Intifada, but by the swarming leftists eager to push the BDS movement out past the gates of academy walls.
John McCain, however — being the maverick that he is — thinks it’s kinda funny that Cruz is all bent out of shape over the treatment of our ally, the sole functioning democracy in the middle east (who has Palestinians as justices, in the Knesset, etc.); one doesn’t call for a man of Kerry’s stature and experience to resign. That’s so very non-collegial! The consequence of veiled threats against long-time allies should be, per McCain, perhaps an apology, or at least a clarification. Apartheid state just asking for an increase in terrorism against it being one of those very nuanced positions that perhaps the little people (and Jr Senators) can’t possibly fathom. It is enough simply to call the foreign policy Kerry is engaging in akin to a “wrecking ball.” For the sake of rhetorical positioning. But to actually suggest doing something about it? Why, pish posh. That’s not how these things are done, wacko birds.
Ironically — at least to me — McCain was tortured for years as Kerry lied about his fellow soldier’s “atrocities” visited upon the North Vietnamese, which provided cover for the enemy and in some ways sought to tacitly justify the treatment of our POWs.
But hey: the bond of ruling class elitism is stronger than the bond of consistent patriotism, at least in McCain’s world.
Honestly. The people of Arizona should march into DC and pull this douche out the roots, spray ground clear around his Senate office, then take him back home where they can tar and feather him properly before running his ass out to California on a high speed rail.
